Anger Management

“Forget what hurt you in the past, but never forget what it taught you. If it taught you to hold onto grudges, seek revenge, not forgive or show compassion, to categorize people as good or bad, to distrust and be guarded with your feelings then you didn’t learn a thing. If it taught you to to be compassionate ,to be empathetic ,to be understanding.Then forget what hurt you,forget what made you angry,Remember the lessons it taught you along”

Divya and Ritika were discussing today's topic.
That's when everyone enter the back stage

"What are you doing guys?" Lyria asked them

"Nothing just discussing which topic is more suitable for today" Ritika said and Divya nodded

"Oh then tell us some topic maybe I can help too" Zohra said

"Ok then well first is- I don't know what to do?" Divya was interrupted by angry low voice

They all looked to see whose voice it is, it was Udita talking to someone in her phone

All were shocked why she was angry?! So they went closer to her.

"I am serious just do whatever you want to do I am not going to complete the task with you" Udita said angrily while hanging up

She turn around and was shocked to see all are looking at her

"Umm guys why are you too close to me?" Udita ask them

"Well we want to see what happen to you" Moon said all other nodded

"Okk it's nothing I was just too angry, I don't know why I was this much angry just… Well leave it. So which topic are we doing today?" Udita ask them

"We were just going to discuss it but I think we know which topic are we doing to do" Divya said and all shared a knowing look

"Okk but which can you please enlighten me so I can also prepare for it" Udita said

"Yeah. ok then I will tell you" Zohra said

Then all of them went to prepare for topic while new member enter with some popcorn which makes Udita’s mood happy.

"Well as you have seen, we are welcoming new member and they brought popcorn too. That's interesting" Lyria said all nodded

"OK we will do all chitchat on front stage bow just prepare for it" Divya said

After an hour all completed their task then went to see preparation of lights that were good so all of them went front stage

"Hello everyone this is Divya presenting you TEEN TALKS!"

Audience claps their hand as to welcoming them

"So before we start today's topic first welcome the new members" Ritika said

"Hello everyone I am Teslim and I brought pizza hope you will like it" Teslim said

All laugh and cheered

"Ok then. Well I hope you can share your pizza with us too and now welcome another member" Udita said

"Hey buddies! All good, I am Adiba even though I didn't brought pizza! Why? I just care about your health guys and lastly I hate bots" Adiba said while all looks at each other confused.

"Sure you Care about our health Adiba! But what about bots?" Zohra commented

"What I also want to say something interesting!" Adiba defended herself

"Ok ok so you have said interesting why not we start with today's topic" Moon said

"Well ladies and brother of ladies we are going to present our today's topic Anger Management" Lily said while all laugh at her starting.

"Firstly. What is anger management?" Lily asked

"Anger management is you learning to recognize the signs that your becoming angry and then trying to calm down and take the situation in a positive way” Zohra said

Does anger management mean bottling it all inside?
“It doesn’t tell you to keep it all inside,anger is a normal and healthy emotion.Anger management is all about learning how to express anger in a healthy way”

Ways to cool down anger
Forgive and try to forget
Try to communicate with the other person
Practice relaxation methods
Give yourself time to cool down.Its necessary to allow yourself some time to cool down before you lash out in anger,Try to solve the situation in a calm and composed manner.Take a walk outside or do something you love and express your emotions through it.Take a deep breath and try being calm
Be mature and peaceful.Once you have calmed down,speak in a calm way.Use non attacking language,don’t get defensive but speak truthfully


"Ok now we know what it is, Now let's discuss facts of Anger management" Divya said

"It's easier to feel anger than hurt. Anger tends to be a surface emotion." Ritika said

"Yeah think about it in our daily life we will be more angry then hurt" Zohra said

"Anger has a strong physical component." Moon said

"Perfectionists are angry" Lily said

"Stories sustain anger." Lyria said then

"Anger comes from an overblown sense of self-importance." Adiba said after

"Anger causes separation." Divya did after her

"Anger gets attention." Teslim said after

Then they all pause as to see Udita is eating popcorn

"What are you doing" Lyria asked her

"Well guys don't you think it is type of movie when one person stop saying then second start saying so I thought to use the time while eating." Udita said while smiling sweetly.

"Really! Say the last fact" Ritika said

"Unexplored anger can mute your experience of life." Udita said

"See it wasn't hard, why are you then glaring at me?" Udita said

"Nothing just think if we should take your popcorn from your hand and put it back to its place" Divya said

"Oh you don't know his new place is here in my arms" Udita said while hugging popcorn

"Sure it is!" Zohra said sarcastically

"Ok so you guys know the facts now we will know some tips of it" Divya said

"1. Count down
Count down (or up) to 10. If you’re really mad, start at 100. In the time it takes you to count, your heart rate will slow, and your anger will likely subside." Udita said
"2. Repeat saying something
Repeat a common phase which will help you calm down, for example 'Relax', 'take it easy'. 'Calm down' that way you can relax and calm down" Lyria said
"3. Express your feelings in a book
Pen down your feelings, whatever you feel and whatever you didn’t want to say. It helps you to calm down." Zohra said
"4. Talk to your trusted ones, rant out.
Talking to your trusted ones and ranting out your feelings will help out,instead of bottling up your feelings" Ritika said
"5. Think before you speak
In the heat of the moment, it's easy to say something you'll later regret. Take a few moments to collect your thoughts before saying anything — and allow others involved in the situation to do the same."Teslim said

"6. Once you're calm, express your anger
As soon as you're thinking clearly, express your frustration in an assertive but non confrontational way. State your concerns and needs clearly and directly, without hurting others or trying to control them." Adiba said

"7. Get some exercise
Physical activity can help reduce stress that can cause you to become angry. If you feel your anger escalating, go for a brisk walk or run, or spend some time doing other enjoyable physical activities." Moon said

"8. Take a timeout
Timeouts aren't just for kids. Give yourself short breaks during times of the day that tend to be stressful. A few moments of quiet time might help you feel better prepared to handle what's ahead without getting irritated or angry." Lily said

"So I think everyone know how to reduce anger" Lyria said

"Now well I am sleepy I am going to sleep" Udita said while yawning

"It was that boring?!" Adina ask Udita

"Ye-No it wasn't boring, it is just Udita wants to sleep and eat every second" Lyria interrupted Udita

"Oh ok well let me say one quote which I really like it
“Everyday you must  unlearn the ways that hold u back.You must get rid of negativity,So you can learn to fly”
-Leon brown" Teslim said

"Yeah that's true if we don't get rid of negativity we will become jealous villain like in movies" Moon said all laugh as this always happen in movies

"So we have done almost everything right but why I m feeling not complete" Ritika said

"Because we haven't done our short story" Divya said

"Yay now I am going to eat popcorn" Udita said while all facepalm

"Remind me why you guys said not to take popcorn" Adiba said

"well leave it be let poor girl eat her popcorn Zohra why don’t you give us story" Lyria said

"ok cool so….
As we all know that in ancient times, the saints used to meditate. According to them, meditating was the way to impress and identify the peace of God. All the saints and priests used to meditate for long hours straight while sitting just at one place into one posture. Similarly, the saint named Jaidev used to meditate a lot. But, whenever he used to try meditating, some of the other things distract him and break his flow.

This problem started happening every time, and he started getting angry due to it. But he was earnest about his meditating and wanted to do it anyhow. So, he found a solution and went on a river. He placed his boat in between a stream where no human, animal, or thing could distract him. Some hours left by, and something hit his boat very loudly and distracted him. He started thinking without opening his eyes, that other man in the boat is blind, can’t he see I am meditating. Meanwhile, his boat got hit again and continued with small time intervals. His anger levels started increasing with every hit he was encountering. After a fraction of time and getting fully irritated and angry, when he opened his eyes, he saw it was an empty boat hitting his boat due to the flow and pressure of water in the river.

He felt bad and realized that the anger is inside his heart and mind, not letting him meditate. And before even knowing the reason, he started blaming the men on the other boat. Similarly, in our lives, we face extreme situations that we can figure out but not trust ourselves. The reason behind all this is the basic nature of blaming others for suffering. Anger management techniques and anger management therapy are the two best practices that people follow in dealing with the anger problems as the meditating saint did." Zohra completed her story.

"Wow what an inspirational story" Lily commented.

"Yeah what says Udita?" Moon ask her

But no reply came back they all look towards Udita she is zoned out. So Divya went to her

"Udita!" Divya said while shaking her

"Huh?" Udita said while realizing she was in her another world

"What happen? We were calling you bit you didn't reply" Ritika said

"Wel- wait a minute I need to take this call" Udita said while picking up her call


"Hey!" Udita greet other person on her line

"Yaa I also want to say sorry. I was just too angry and blamed everything on you guys" Udita said.

"Yeah. Yeah. I am coming to your house and we will start our project then" Udita said hanging up while smiling.

"What happen why are you smiling like that?" Adiba ask her

"Yeah its creepy!" Zohra said while Udita just smile sweetly

"Nothing where were we yeah inspiration right?!" Udita said all nodded

"Ok so that's all our discussion hope you will use methods that we talk about" Ritika said

"I am going then I have to go my friend home" Udita said while packing her stuff with popcorn too

"Hey why are you taking popcorn with you?" Teslim ask her

"Well you have brought pizza right go share with them, I am taking my pizza part that is popcorn so bye" Udita said while going out

"This girl" all facepalm

"So as you know we are at end of this, but before that let me say one
Anger is something familiar to us all,Learning how to manage your anger takes a lot of self control.Positive things like exercising,going for a walk,relaxing really helps.Writing down your thoughts also help.When you try anger management u choose to leave all the bitter feelings and focus on the positive" Lyria said and then they all wave at audience and went back to back stage.
