Chapter 2: Dead Jake?

So sorry this took so long. I have no excuse other than I've been really, really lazy for the past few days. I'll stop talking now so you can get to the story, which is what you definitely came for, not to hear me ramble endlessly about my own problems. I put this off a month longer than I should've, sorry. Thanks to you five lovelies who left reviews, or maybe less. It's hard to tell with guests. Anyways, I said I would stop, but I didn't, so I'll actually stop now.

...

The woods were truly some odd thing, what with the trees almost black and having an almost monster-like appearance. Stranger yet, the wood seemed to go on forever. The woods were nothing but a black and green abyss where you'd most certainly go insane if you stayed for too long.

I don't like this forest. The branches seem to try and reach out, as if they want nothing more than to snatch me away from the pack. Every single knot looks like a singular eye that's watching every movement I make. This is unsettling, and it's making me nauseous. Flowey is laughing right now, but I think he feels like we're being watched, too.

Call me crazy, but I think the trees may all be consciously alive, and they're watching us. I can't help but feel that they know exactly what I'm writing just by the movements of my arm. I think writing is honestly making the feeling much worse, so...

...

I can't believe we're still in these stupid woods! Almost an hour of walking, and still we've gotten nowhere! Ugh, this is pointless, but Papyrus, the little slug, thinks that we're only a few minutes away. He said that thirty minutes ago, and I'm starting to question his ability to tell time. Wait, wait, Frisk! Don't-

...

Still nothing has happened. Well, other than Flowey stealing the diary, again. Though, the nauseating tingling of being watched has faded for the most part, and the trees have gotten significantly lighter in color. I'm really thankful for that. I can write without losing it, now.

Wait, I hear a noise...

...

The weirdest thing just happened.

Oh stars. I never want to relive that.

I've been assaulted..

...

Heh, thanks Frisk. Didn't think you'd let me write my side of the story. Okay, so the rustling...

Yeesh, that kid was hyper.

We heard rustling, then, before you know it, this little brunette human girl has her arms around me, chanting fantasies about a kid named Jake. Then, she looks up at me, and her expression shifts from joy to pure horror in about two seconds. She takes a step back.

"Dead Jake."

I'm not even joking. That's exactly what she said. And I'll never forget what happened afterwards. She didn't scream, try to fight, or even just run. She simply turned around, fixed her eyes on a specific portion of the woods, and yelled to someone.

...

"Dipper, did you raise the dead again?!"

...

Heh, not exactly very long, but I'll try to update again sometime next week. If that doesn't happen, feel free to chew me out and make me feel absolutely horrible in the reviews.

(Reviews, perfect reminder that I never changed the Author's notes. The picture is not mine.)
