"Listen to me."

"And why should I? You're a bad guy!"

I kept running towards the club as people ran past me, desperate to escape. An explosion went off, striking fear into my heart. Before I was able to reach the entrance, a man in a machine burst out of the club, followed by three robots. I skidded across the pavement and looked up in shock.

"I'll be seeing you, Sonic!"

My body froze. Sonic?

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a scream. It was Mira - held by one of the robots.

"Mira!" I screamed.

"Titania!"

I dashed towards the robot and swung the baseball bat. It connected, but the robot remained unfazed. It lifted its arm and swatted me backwards into the kitchen. I hit a wall and fell down. Something hit my head, and everything went black.

"Why are you standing in the rain?"

I turned to see a young gray hedgehog that looked a lot like me. Though there were differences between us, we could easily pass for sisters. In her hand was an umbrella, and she stepped closer to shield me from the rain.

"I'm just a traveler," I reply. "I was passing through."

"Without an umbrella?" She asks skeptically.

"Yes. I don't have one."

"Couldn't you use your suitcase as an umbrella?" The girl asks.

I look down at my small suitcase and sigh. "I could, but I would still get wet."

The girl offered her other hand to me. "Please... Follow me. I'll provide you shelter."

"Don't worry about it-" I began, but I was cut off.

"I insist," she replied.

I thought about it, and sighed. "Very well."

The girl grabbed my hand and had me follow her. The rain began to pour harder, and I was glad to have listened to her. After we seemed like forever, we reach a small house. She lets go of my hand to unlock the door, and she ushers me inside, locking the door as she does so.

I look around at the house as the girl puts her umbrella to the side. Two other hedgehogs - one green and one purple - walk down the staircase.

"Mira, who is this?" The girl asks.

Mira opens her mouth, but I step forward. "My name is Titania Fae. I am a traveler."

The guy gave me a skeptical look. "You were traveling alone without an umbrella?"

"Yes," I reply.

"Why would you do that?" He asks.

"Because I don't have money," I confessed. "I've been sleeping outside at night."

"That won't do," Mira replies. "You can stay here instead."

"How do you know that I won't kill you?" I ask. "I could very well be manipulating you."

"Your eyes tell a different story," the purple hedgehog says.

I turn to her as she grabs my face, looking at me in the eye. "Your eyes show sadness, as if you were running, as well as resignation. There is no way that someone so cruel could fake such emotions."

"....."

Mira offers her hand. "Don't mind Sonia. She can be weird. I'll take you to the guest room so that you can change."

"Thank you.... Mira...."

I woke up to the feeling of my body screaming out in pain. I jolted, and instantly regretted it, as more pain seared throughout my body. "Ow!" I scream.

"You were lucky to survive, Titania," a voice drawled behind me before moving in front of me.

"S-Shadow...." I whisper.

Shadow the Hedgehog kneeled before me and offered his hand. "I wasn't expecting Eggman to appear... What happened?"

"My friends... They're gone," I hiss as I grab his hand, shakingly standing up. "That man took them, yelling the name Sonic."

Shadow's eyes darken. "Of course..."

"You know what's happening," I accuse. "Tell me what you know."

"You already know the truth," he explains. "You just made me hide it."

"Hide it?!"

Shadow looks away. "It's a long story. What matters is saving your friends. Just be aware, Sonic. Tails, and their friends are also trying to save your friends, but for different reasons."

"Stop being cryptic!" I yelled.

He sighs. "I'll explain later, but you must avoid Sonic and Tails. Tails is still convinced that you are Amy, and he might have told Sonic already. If they find you.... It'll end in disaster."

"Then I should dye my quills," I reply. "Then they won't recognize me."

"You don't have time or need for that. Go save your friends. They are headed to the North."

I nod and make a move, but Shadow grabs my shoulder. I turn just as he hands a gold and red hammer to me.

"Good luck, Titania."

And with that, he was gone, leaving me with more questions than answers.

What bugged me the most though....

How did I know him, and how did he know me?

But he has a point. I have to go save my friends, and figure out who this Amy is.

I finally came back to this! I'm going to edit it as well.

I think there was a time skip after the Sonic games because I feel that everyone is older.
