2. Tails

Reina: Here's the second chapter!

Chapter 2: Tails

"Why... Why did this happen to me?"

"A miscalculation....  You were not the intended target. *blank* was."

"I'll never forgive you for that, *another name*."

------

Several hours after chapter 1....

"Hey Titania."

I turn from the guy chatting me up and smile. "Hey Sonia."

"Life's treating you well?"

"Yep."

"That's good to hear."

I nod and look at Manic, already playing up a storm. Fans swarmed him, desperate for him to hear their voices.

"One of these days..." Sonia muttered. "I swear he's going to get in trouble."

"Yeah. He's going to get mobbed," I reply.

"I can't believe that you would say that to one of my brothers. But then again so would I."

I frowned. "You have another brother?"

"Yeah. He's name is S-"

"Sonia, we're out of soda!" Mira yelled.

I sigh. "I'll get some."

"Thanks," Sonia replied. "We can finish this conversation later."

I nod as I slip away, passing by people in an attempt to get to the back of the club where all the sodas were. It took several minutes to get to the back, as everyone was dancing or attempting to talk to me. I eventually opened the back door and slammed it behind me, glad that it was more or less sound-proof.

"Ugh..." I muttered, not looking forward to getting back out in the club. But it was inevitable, and it was the job that I had signed up for.

As I went to the fridge, I saw something out the window. It looked yellow and white....

"What the...?" I muttered. Looking to the left, I put on a black jacket, as the weather was cold this time of year. I also grabbed Manic's baseball bat and held it threateningly. Every step I took was silent but quick, and each breath taken was even. When I reached the exit, I kicked it open and held my baseball bat like a lightsaber.

"SHOW YOURSELF!" I yelled.

Silence. Nothing responded.

In fact... It was too quiet. Normally you could hear buzzing noises, the wind rustling leaves, or the laughter from the town.

But it was so unnaturally quiet - with the exception of the club.

Gulping, I locked the door behind me and set the back alarm on so that no one could slip through the back. I stalked forward, trying to see if I could find that thing from earlier. After a while, I saw a flash of yellow heading to an alley.

I quickened my pace, attempting to calm my heart rate. I followed this mystery person into the alley, despite a voice in my head that sounded like Sonia telling me not to.

Eventually, the mystery person stopped and pulled out a phone. I stood behind him and tightened my grip on the bat.

As I did so, my head began to hurt. It was like something was trying to escape me by breaking my skull.

"What are you doing?" I asked menacingly.

The person turned around and smiled. "Amy!"

I dropped the bat, eyes wide in shock, as if someone hit me in the stomach and stole all of my air.

"Hey Sonic!" I yelled.

The blue hedgehog turned and looked past me. "Look out!" He ran forward and tackled me, preventing me from getting hit with a laser.

-------

"What are you building?" I asked the yellow fox.

"A Quinjet... It's a plane that also has a jet mode."

"Neat!"

---------

"If you really want to cause some damage," the red echidna began. "Put all of your weight into the attack."

"But that's impossible!" I yelled.

"The bad guys like Eggman won't care."

-----

"...m...."

"....y....."

"....my...."

"AMY!"

I snapped back to reality. At some point, I had fallen, but the yellow fox had caught me.

I looked up at him, and he smiled back, tears in his eyes as I was helped off the ground. He clasped my hands and held them tightly.

"I'm so glad that you're safe Amy! But why are your quills gray?"

"I'm.... Not Amy...." I muttered.

The yellow fox frowned. "What do you mean by that?"

"I am not... Amy... I am Titania."

He blinked. "But.... You look like Amy..."

"I'm sorry... But I'm not her..."

He deflated and let go of my hands. "If...If you say so..."

His expression tore at my heart. This "Amy" of his must have meant a lot to him.... Perhaps....

"If you want, you can all me Amy.... Occasionally...."

He looked up and blinked. "Really?"

I nodded. "Yes.... Only if we are alone. If not, then call me Titania."

The fox tackled me in a hug, and I hugged him back. It felt.... Familiar, for some reason, but I choose not to think about that. I stepped away and looked him in the eye. "What is your name?" I asked carefully.

"Tails."

"Alright Tails... May I ask what you're doing?"

He looked down. "I was looking for my friend Amy."

Oh....

I crushed his hopes.....

"Ah... S-Sorry about that."

"It's fine," he replied. "I just can't let Sonic know-"

Sonic the Hedgehog.

I blinked and shock my head. That hedgehog from my memory? Why couldn't Sonic know about?

Before I could ask Tails any more questions, the ground rumbled, and something went off.

The club.

I whip around and gasp. Smoke came out of the club, and people were screaming.

Without warning, I grabbed the bat and dashed to the fight.

"Am- Titania!" Tails yelled.

I kept running forward and ignored him. I had to save Manic, Sonia, and Mira.

They were the ones who were basically my family.

If I lost them, I lost everything.

"TITANIA!"

Reina: Oh no, cliffhanger!

Okay, I actually use cliffhangers a lot. They're fun to write.

Anyway, Amy/Titania has encountered Tails. Who do you think was telling the truth there?

Until next time!
