I slowly opened my eyes, the falling feeling stopped I was laying on a dark tile floor in a dark room with no windows. I sat up and looked around, I was in a hatchery, surrounded by eggs, but there were no egg shells around me. So I didn't hatch, where did I come from? I know I am a dragon, that I know for sure. Who was that voice? Those questions ran in my mind. I shook them off after a bit of thinking. I decided to walk out the door into the dark palace, I was already wearing a tattered grey brown dress, that was all I needed. I stopped as a voice spoke in my mind.

The voice stopped, Was she my mom? I thought. I shook that thought away, and kept walking. If she wants me to find a girl named Howl, I must do it.... But how many girls here are named howl? I thought as I started to walk down the halls.

All the sudden I sensed danger, I quickly thought to go hide in the shadows. I ran to the darkest place in the room, I sat down in the shadows and stared waiting for the danger to pass.
