Case #3: 112 Ocean Avenue
Number 3 was false. "An old woman was brutally murdered inside her room and her killer was never caught. Her ghost is still seen roaming the hotel."
Thirty miles outside of New York, in the Long Island town of Amityville, stands a house that mentioning its name is enough to send chills down your spine. All thanks to the notorious events that took place within its walls.
In the early hours of November 13, 1974, six members of the Defeo family were shot to death in their sleep by the eldest son: Ronald Defeo Jr. The 23-year-old claimed that a demonic voice in his head urged him to kill. He told the police that after he shot his parents, he couldn't stop until the rest of his family were dead. He was found guilty in court and was given six life sentences. Today, he is still serving his time in a New York prison.
Thirteen months after the brutal murder, Kathy and Goerge Lutz moved into the house with their three children after buying the house at a drastically low price. However, the family's stay was short-lived, lasting a mere 28-days. Throughout their stay, the family allegedly experienced horrific paranormal activity that later inspired the urban legend of The Amityville Horror. Many questioned the validity of the Lutz's story while others wholeheartedly believed the house was haunted, including the Warren couple who investigated the house in 1976.
It's time for you to investigate again!
Among the points listed below, only one is completely untrue. Which one is it?
1. All six victims were found lying face-down in bed. And the neighbors never heard the sound of gunshots despite the fact that Ronald wasn't using a silencer.
2. George Lutz woke up every day at 3:15 AM, which was around the same time Ronald has carried out his murders.
3. The Lutz family claimed to smell strange odors, see green slime oozing out of the walls and keyholes and experience cold spots in certain areas of the house.
4. Even though it was December and quite cold in New York, an awful lot of flies attacked the priest who was brought by the Lutz to bless the house.
5. When the Warrens visited the house, they took a series of infrared photos. One of them showed a small boy with glowing eyes—he was believed to be the ghost of one of the Defeo's boys.
