DAY 4

KADIENNE

It's the fourth day and we still don't have any idea . Me, Lily and Ashleigh sit at our desk, depressed, not knowing what to do.

"Why don't we ask Ms. Samara what to do?" I ask Ashie and Lily.

"I don't think that's a good idea." Ashie replies.

"Yeah, because we don't want her to lose hope on us." Lily says.

"We need to do something to complete this mission." Ashie says.

"And you better tell me about your secret mission or..." Hannah butts in from behind.

"Hannah, why do you have to be so nosy ?!" I start to scream at her.

"Just ignore her and concentrate, Kad." Lily advises.

"Umm.. okay." I say, mentally giving up.

"Whatever." Hannah says, rolls her eyes, and walks away.

LILY

"Hey, I know !" Ashie yells not-so-loudly.

"This better be a good idea." I say.

"You guys saw that Fall Weather Friends episode of Mlp ?"

"Yeah, but, what's that got to do with this ?" Kad asks.

"Duh! They both run quite fast don't they ? Yes they do ! So, we will ask them to run a race."

"But, how will that help ?" I question her.

"Didn't you see that episode? AJ and Rainbow become good friends right after that !"

"Ashie! That's great !" I and Kad exclaim. Well, hopefully.

(Later, in Recess)

Ashleigh leans against the wall, and looks from Martin to Peter. Ms.Samara made Peter sit behind Martin, in the hopes that they might make up. But they're glaring daggers at each other right now.

"So, I was wondering... which of you is the faster runner ?" She asks. I stare at her. Way to go to make things worse between enemies.

"Me. Duh." Peter says.

"Don't be too confident. It's me." Martin says.

"Please. Who won the gold medal in races ?"

"I didn't participate. That doesn't make me slower."

"Why don't you just have a race and see ?" I say, before the arguments can get any bigger. Martin and Peter narrow their eyes at each other.

"It is on."

(At the Ground)

"On your marks ! Get set ! Go !" I start the race.

"And the two are on ! This is surely going to be the most interesting race in our country's history !!" Ashie says holding on to her made-from-paper mike.

"Ashie I think you should stop doing commentary and watch the race." Kad says. Ashie rolls her eyes.

"Whatever." She mumbles and holds her mike closer to her mouth. "Peter is in the lead, now it's Martin. Peter...Martin...Peter....Martin...Peter.... Both finish their first lap. Gosh. they're fast runners. Just half a lap more... Wait, what was that ? Peter fell down ! Martin's in the lead. Peter's catching up quite fast and... it's a tie !" She concludes her commentary and puts her mike down.

"You... you... cheater !" Peter shouts.

"What do you mean, 'cheater' ?" Martin asks.

"You pushed me !"

"No, I din't !"

"Okay, okay, okay." Ashleigh moves the two apart.

"How about a rematch ?" I ask.

"Yes." Peter and Martin say, glaring at each other.

"But, this time, there will be a third racer."

"Who ?" Martin, Peter, Ashleigh and Kadienne ask.

"It's...." I pause for a while to increase the suspense.

"Kadienne."

"What ?!" All four say at once, but with different expressions.  Ashleigh's confused, Kadienne's shocked and Martin and Peter are happy since they probably think that Kad has no chances of beating them.

"Are you serious ?" Kad asks.

"Yes, I am." I reply.

"What are you doing ?" Ashleigh asks, pulling me aside while Kad nervoulsy joins the boys at the start line.

"Haven't you seen the episode ? Twilight participates and she beats AJ and RD since they were fighting. If we do the same, it might work." I say. Ashleigh shrugs and holds up her paper mike.

"On your marks ! Get set ! Go !" I start the race again.

Ashleigh holds up her paper mike and continues her commentary. The race goes normally. One minute, Peter's in lead, next minute, it's Martin. Kadienne is not very behind. But, after the first lap is completed, things take a slight turn. Martin and Peter start knudging each other. Then they stop and push each other. Kadienne almost overtakes them, but Martin stumbles and Peter's in the lead. Kadienne manages to overtake Martin, but he overtakes her again and shoves Peter, taking the lead. Peter soon catches up with Martin and catches his shirt. Martin stumbles backwards and tries to kick Peter, but misses. He frees himself from Peter's grip and runs towards the finish line, Peter at his heels.

"Nice going, Kadienne !" Ashleigh whisper-shouts as Kadienne crosses the finish line.

"Thanks." Kadienne whispers back.

Meanwhile, Martin almost reaches the finish line. Peter grabs him and both fall down. Peter tries to 'crawl' to the finish, but Martin catches his foot and pulls him back. Martin gets up and tries to get to the finish, but Peter also gets up and catches him. Both fall down together like before, but this time, across the finish line.

"...Aaaand, it's a tie !!" Ashleigh puts her mike down and lets out a few breaths, then holds it up again to conclude her commentary.

"For the second, or should I say, the last position !"

"What did you say ?" Martin and Peter ask, still wrestling on the ground.

"You. Both. Tied. Up. Cause. Kadienne. Won."  I reply with a grin.

"But.. how..." Martin stutters.

"Because you two were fighting all the time and I could overtake you." Kadienne says.

"That's not possible !" Peter yells. Ashie rolls her eyes.

"Look, you better be called, or your next race will be the one to Principal Angelina's office." she says. The boys sigh.

"Look, you may not like the way I'm talking, but you have to listen for once. You couldn't win because of the fight, right ? Similarly, your fights are causing our class to go down. You have to understand." I explain.

Martin and Peter just stand there, arms crossed.

"So, we're letting ourselves lose ?" Martin asks.

"Yes." I reply.

"And we're letting the class down ?" Peter says.

"Yes." Ashie replies.

"And Kadienne is a really slow runner but she won because we fought ?" Both say together.

"Yes." Kad replies, then her eyes widen. "Wait, what ?"  She turns red, thanks to rage.

"So, if you become friends, you might just win. Together. And help our class win !" I say.

"And you may also be able to calm down Kadienne." Ashie says, trying to hold back Kad, who looks like she wants to bash the boys.

"Let's go, there's only five minutes left." Martin says, looking at his watch.

"Yeah. Yet's go. After all, it's maths now." I say. Ashleigh rolls her eyes when I word 'maths'.

"You're kidding, right ?" Peter asks, raising an eyebrow. "I don't think I'd want to spend a class with him. Neither does our teacher."

"Let's just go already ?" I say. The boys sigh and follow us. On our way up and to our class, they have a conversation. They whisper but we hear everything.

"Don't you think Lily is a little bossy ?" Peter whispers.

"No, I think it's Ashleigh. For every little thing she's all like, 'I know, I'm really awesome, it's in my nature.' Even Hannah. She's really really bossy. 20 times more than Ashleigh." Martin whispers.

"Don't you dare say that about Hannah."

"And don't you dare to speak about Li." Wait.. is he talking about me ? No ! No, no, no, no, no, no !

"He calls you that ?" Ashie whispers in my year and giggles.

"Let's not talk about it." I whisper back.

"What do you mean 'Li' ? Oh wait, I get it !" Peter whispers to Martin. Nice. Things are getting more complicated... especially since Peter knows who my crush is.

"No, I'm not like you, okay ? I don't crush on a girl like you do with Hannah."

"Yeah, yeah, everyone says that."

"Fine ! Just change the topic now."

"Okay... Damn, my arm hurts from all that skidding."

"And fighting."

"Yeah, I know. I guess those girls where right. We shouldn't have fought so badly."

"We shouldn't have done all that for a stupid race. Besides, they're really crazy. How can a race bring two people together ?"

"Heh. You're right."

Soon, we reach the class. I quickly move between the wall and the closest bench and stealthily look at the two boys.

"Sorry." They say looking at each other at the same time. A small smile spreads across their faces, as well as mine. They then part to get to their places. I quickly go to Ash and Kaddie. I have news.

"Girls, it's working !" I whisper-shout.

"What's working ?" Kad asks.

"Ashie's plan !" I say.

"Really ?" Ashie asks.

"Really. I heard Peter and Martin apologise to each other."

"That's a really good sign !" Kad grins.

"Yes, but we need a little finishing touch." Ashie says.

"What ? But why ?" I ask.

"They're friends, but their friendship is weak. It has to become stronger !" Ashie explains.

"I get it now !" Kadienne says. "What should we do ?"

"I don't know, why don't you decide ?" Ashie replies.

"What ? My me ?" She asks.

"Well, no offense, Kad, but you haven't come up with an idea till now."

KADIENNE

Oh, well, guess you have to take the good with the bad. I stiffly nod.

"Okay. I'll do it." I say.

"We'll wait." Lily says as the bell rings. "I guess."

"Nope, we can wait." Ashie says, looking at a substitute teacher. Then she starts humming a song to herself. Lily smiles as she hears the song and joins in, singing along with her. I sigh.. Music can be contagious and affecting. Wait a minute...

"I have an idea !!" I jump up, shouting. Li and Ash nearly fall off their chairs. Everyone looks at me, even the teacher. Nope, she's glaring at me.

"Ms.DiLaurentis ?" She says.

"Y..yes, ma'am ?" I ask.

"Let this be my first and final warning to you." She says and resumes her work. The class giggles, mostly Marinda and Petunia (Yep, I gave them those names, but I never told anyone about those. Also, Marinda is the name of that fictional girl from the computer lab). I swear someday I'll get my revenge with the help of my friends.

I slowly sit down in my chair.

"So, what's the idea ?" Ashie whispers.

"You remember Equestria Girls, Rainbow Rocks and Friendship Games, right ?" I say.

"Yes." Lily replies.

"In each of those, there's atleast one song affecting the behavior in each movie." I explain.

"Yeah, that's right.. Wait, are you saying.." Lily looks at me with wide eyes. I nod. "We can sing a song to affect their behavior.."

"Yes ! That !" I whisper-shout. Ashleigh and Lily look at each other.

"Kadienne, that's amazing !" Ash and Li stand up and shout. Now it's their turn to get the 'first and final' warning and earn a few giggles, especially those of Marinda and Petunia.

"Now, we're even." I say. Lily giggles.

"I agree." She says.

"But, I don't understand one thing. Why do you two feel like I'm avoiding you ? Why do we all feel like we're avoiding each other ?" Ashie asks.

"Now's not the time, Ashie." I say.

"I need my answer." She says. I open my mouth to say something but am interrupted. "Now." She says. Lily sighs.

"Well, to be honest, I felt like you two were hanging out more without me." Lily explains.

"So did I." I say in a low voice.

"And me too." Ashie says, astonished. "I can't believe this ! I mean, really ? It's like we have so much in common. It's like we'll be BFFs forever !"

"Only you can say words like BFFs forever ." Lily says, smirking.

"What's wrong with that ?" Ashie asks.

"There's already a 'Forever' in the full form of BFF." She says.

"So what ?"

"It's like you're calling someone a foolish fool !"

I can't help but snicker at this. 'Foolish fool' ? That's got to be a lot of boys in class. But I guess Lily has a point. BFFs forever would be something like 'Best Friends Forever Forever'.

"I guess you're right. Both of you." I say.

"Care to explain ?" Ashie asks.

"Lily's right because BFFs Forever seems really odd if you say it's full form." Ashie frowns. Li smirks.

"But I also think Ash's right because we do seem to be Best Friends Forever." I say. Lily sigh. "Friends can sometimes be inseperable, like us." She says, but she is quite wrong.

"You thinking what I'm thinking ?" Ashie asks. We nod frantically.

"OUR FRIENDSHIP'S GOING TO CARRY ON THROUGH THE AGES !!!!" We stand up and shout one last time.

ASHLEIGH

I sigh and lean against the back wall.

"Can't believe we're standing outside." I mumble.

"Yeah, me too." Lily says.

"Can't believe we lost our only oppurtunity before lunch break to write the song." Kad complains.

"I don't think so." Lily says.

"Well, then go ahead." I say. I know Lily has an idea. Lily walks towards the door while I and Kad go to the wndow and crouch down. We stealthily look at what is going on.

"May I come in, ma'am ?" Lily ask. The teacher looks up at her.

"What do you want ? Don't expect me to let you in so you can sit in your place and continue your chit-chat."

"We can trust Lily; she won't do that, silly." I say, amused at my own couplet.

"Well, actually, ma'am, since the exams are coming up, I just thought, why waste time outside... I can read, you know ? So, I decided, why not grab a little notebook and study for the exams ?" Lily giggles nervously.

"Sure. Make it fast." The teacher says. Lily quickly goes to our place, slides a pen in her pocket, pulls out her poetry book and comes outside. We get up from our ambush and go to her.

"Only you can make excuses like that." I nudge Lily.

"Whatever. Let's get rhyming." She says.

(Later, at Lunch break)

"Ms. Samara ?" Kad asks.

"Yes, dear ?" Ms.Samara says as she quickly closes a green book.

"We want to sing a song, ma'am. Can we ?" Lily asks and adds a sly wink. Ms.Samara understands what we're talking about.

"Go ahead." She says,nodding.

We go to the center of the front of the classroom and get everyone's attention.

"Listen, everyone, I just want to say before we start, that this song is dedicated to the boys in our class. Hope you enjoy."'And maybe change for good.' I think. Then we start singing.

NARRATOR

(A/N : Bold is the song, while normal is the actions.)

Why is everyone so seperated ?

The Rainbooms look down at the ground.

Why on others you're agigated ?

They look up, facing the crowd.

Everything here have their limits

Ashie moves her hand as if she's showing an area.

Don't let your friendship turn into bits

Lily acts as if she's tearing a paper.

Some friends, they may tease,

Kad pats Tiara, who looks a little sad, on her back.

On them anger don't release,

She shakes her finger as if saying 'no'.

Just convert into a little sorrow

Ashie holds up her forefinger and thumb like she's holding something a small bead.

Talk to them and let it go !

Lily beckons at the other girls using her palm.

[chorus]

Get up and out and make a change

They pull out Ian, Albert and Andy from their places.

Don't let your hatred cross the range

They slightly push them to the board.

Friendship doesn't have a minimum age

The Rainbooms stand in a semicircle, facing the class.

It's a diamond on the history's page

Ashie holds Kad's wrist, Kad holds Lily's and Lily hold's Ashleigh's, forming a triangle.

So come on out, let's be friends,

They pull out Wren, Paul and S.Charlie from their places.

It's there forever, it never ends,

They slightly push them to the board.

So get out there and be a good friend

Sofia, Savannah, Hannah, Nancy, Pearl, Tiara, Sapphire, Scarlette pull out Martin and Peter from their places.

Our broken friendships it's time to mend,

They push the boys to the board.

Oh-oh...

[verses]

Friendship is a magical gift,

Ashie puts a wrapped up box in Martin's hands, leaving him confused.

Between friends don't create a rift

Lily moves Martin and Peter a little apart, then moves aside.

If you have none, don't be sad,

Kad puts her hand on Savannah's shoulder.

Without knowing many you've had

Ashie beckons to the entire class.

If you two are really poles apart,

Lily points at Martin while Kad points at Peter.

Then stick together and let it start

Hannah and Scarlette push Peter and Martin closer to each other.

Don't worry, it won't be tragic,

Ashleigh gestures as if assuring the two.

You have to believe, friendship is magic !

All the girls (except Hannah, Scarlette and the Rainbooms) join in.

[chorus]

Get up and out and make a change

The other boys get up and go to the board.

Don't let your hatred cross the range

They make a semi-circle around the girls and the groups.

Friendship doesn't have a minimum age

Kadienne moves her palms up and down like a balance.

It's a diamond on the history's page

Ashleigh flips through a book and puts it aside.

So come on out, let's be friends,

The girls and the groups join the semi-circle, leaving the Rainbooms, Peter and Martin.

It's there forever, it never ends,

Lily and Kad put a hand on Martin and Peter's shoulders, respectively.

So get out there and be a good friend

Ashie takes their hands and places them in each others, then stands back along with Li and Kad.

Our broken friendships it's time to mend,

Peter and Martin look at each other, then hug.

Oh-oh...

DAY 5

ASHLEIGH

I sit between Kad and Li in the ground. This is it. The big moment. We watch as Martin takes his second prize, while Peter collects the first. They then gather around for a group photo.

"I can't believe we finally did it !" Kad says.

"Me neither." I reply.

"Oh god... Pinch me." Li says. I'm confused but pinch her anyway. She puts her hand over her mouth and tries her best to hold in a scream.

"Not literally !" Lily whisper-shouts. "I'll make a mental note to teach you sarcasm." she mumbles.

"I know sarcasm." I say.

"They're prized friends, aren't they ?" Kad says. We just nod.

"Uhh... Din't get it ? 'Prized friends' !" She explain. We understand what she means but don't laugh. Who laughs when a joke is explained ? It comes on its own if you understand.

"Hey, don't get sad, just make it better, next time." I say. Kad smiles a little.

"Btw, Kad, when are you going to get a... you know ?" Lily asks with a smirk.

"Never !" She shouts.

"Seriously ? Never ?" I ask in between small giggles.

"Never, ever, ever, ever, ever !" She replies.

"You mean 'never forever'." I say.

"Both are same." Kaddie says.

LILY/ASHLEIGH/KADIENNE

We resume watching the award distribution. We had a lot of fun today.. except in maths. I bet the maths teacher din't enjoy it as well, with Marinda(According to Kad)/Martin shouting out answers (Unfortunately, they were verified).

It may have been the last day of seventh grade, but it surely isn't the last day of our friendship. Today, when we're all on our seperate ways home, we all think the same thing..

"We Will Always be Together, Because Friendship Always Carries on Through the Ages"

A/N : Gosh. This was the longest thing I ever wrote. 3356 words ! (If you don't count this note)
