Julia Third POV

Julia, Rose and Loveth were in the reading hall, reading for their next test. For Lilian she went to the restroom. Coming out of the restroom, she heard a juicy gossip some students where talking about down the hall. On hearing it, it made her jump a little, squeak a little and ran towards the reading hall like a maniac.

When she got there she walked up to them maturely. She rushed to her friends immediately and sat down with a wide smile which got the three of her friends confused.

        "Guys I've got breaking news". Lilian said smiling like an idiot I don't understand.

"Yah, what's it?" Asked Rose.

"It's about Jayden and Britney". She replied.

"Yayyy... " Loveth said boringly.

"And so what?" I asked with full annoyance.

Nowadays his name angers me. Jayden's name angers me to the point that I want to push his fine face into the toilet.

"Jayden and Britney broke up". Lilian answered squeaking like a mice.

"Wow! How boring". I said sarcastically as Rose and Loveth giggled.

"This no boring news. Seriously I'm happy. Jayden doesn't deserve a wench like Britney. She's so fake, hard to understand and easy to use". Lilian elaborated.

"So now we should bake eggs for such stupid gossip". I deadpanned arrogantly.

"Chillax Jul, I just want you all to know, duh!" Lilian said as her enthusiasm died.

"Lets just read okay. Any minute, reading period will be over". Loveth reminded.

While I was reading, I felt someone staring at me, as always. It was even the usual stare I felt. When I looked up, it was Jayden. He has been doing this often.

There are a lot of girls he could stare at. Like girls with makeups, fake barbie faces... Owh... Lets not forget girls with exposure wears. Which reveals their cleavages and pants.

He should quit the staring because It's getting me so annoyed. While he stared at me, he kept smiling charmingly and looking at me in such a way I don't understand.

The scowl on my face deepened as he pout at me cutely.
What the fuck is wrong with him? Is he okay? No he isn't.
He's so stupid now, because arrogance fits him better.

Then the bell rang signaling we should head to our next lectures.
Oh shit, I haven't read anything reasonable.
First it was Lilian distraction and now it was him, it was Jayden.

"Grr... " I grumbled filling angry already.

"Hey, what's with the grumpy face?" Rose asked with a smile as she held her books with her hands.

"Forget about it". I replied rigidly placing my books in my bag heading out of the reading hall.

Sitting in the cafeteria alone on my usual table. I gradually opened my mathematics test paper. I was smiling at first but my smile dropped when I saw 45/100.

No, no no. This is not what I planned on having. This is too bad for the course I'm after.
Why this?
What am I getting wrong?

In seconds, tears gathered in my eyes. How can I tell my parents this is what I scored in math?
They'll be so disappointed.

"Hey yo Julia". Loveth said walking towards our table as Rose and Lilian stride from bind.

I quickly hid my test paper in my backpack zipping it up as I smiled at them nervously. When they were closer, they sat down with a smile on their faces.

Wow, they get to smile today but not me.

"How was you math test?" Lilian asked staring at me.

"Urh... Emm... Tell me how your accounting test went?" I asked avoiding her question.

"It went so great". Lilian replied giddily.

"Yah, really great". Loveth added.

"Owh... Nice one. Rose how was your math test?"

"Nice of course 69/100". Rose bragged as my eyes gathered water.

If I got her score I'll also be bragging by now. On my first test it was 53 and now It's 45. It keeps getting low.

"Are you on earth Julia?" Lilian asked bringing me out from my thoughts while studying my behaviour.

"Yes, I'm still here". I replied trying to swallow my tears.

"So what did you score?" Rose asked curiously.

"Owh that, I haven't checked, it somewhere in my bag". I lied smiling in a nervy manner.

My math score is so bad.

As we ate our meal, I looked up to see Jayden staring at me like always. But he looked at me being concerned.
What is he concerned about?
Is he concerned on how to mock me or make his group of people to mock me?

Even staring at him made me feel worst right now. The time he was meant to be concerned about me is long time gone. He's all in my past, a past to never remember.

Because a friend is someone who understand your past, believes in your future and accept you just the way you're.

But he never did,
He never understood our past,
He never believed in the future he, Rose and I would have had,
He never accepted me for who I was.

He's just a forgotten story.

Rose and I where in class doing nothing because we had free period. The class was noisy with annoying people also with Jayden's squad but Jayden wasn't making any noise nor cracking any jokes.

On normal circumstance, no matter what he says, you'll end up laughing so hard.

Rose was on her phone while I, well... Doing nothing. Not completely nothing because I was playing X and O with myself. Based on my math test 3 days ago, I kept solving the equation I failed over and over again but I still couldn't get the right answer.

I became frustrated and let it be for a while, I asked Rose but she's too busy to teach me.

"Julia, Miss. Nina calls for you". A male student said and walked off.

Why does she calls for me? I did nothing wrong. I've always done my assignment? I've never skipped classes? So why does she calls for me?

"If you go answer her now, you'll end up knowing". Rose said calmly reading my expression.

Yah, she's right.

In seconds the bell rang. Signally we should all head home as all student rushed out of the class including Rose.

I gradually stuffed my things in my bag heading towards the door when someone bumped into me with their shoulder. I turned to the left to apologies but I cease my apology when I saw it was Jayden.

Okay, now I know his actions aren't mistaken, he did it on purpose. As always the scowl on my face never stops when I see him.

He bent down and picked my hair clip which fell on the floor, clipped it right back on my hair and winked at me. My eyes widen in shock as I pushed him with my bag and left the class.

What a stupid act of his. What is Jayden up to?

He stares at me always, smiles at me always and now he winked at me this time. Such a jerk.

Heading to Miss. Nina's office, I saw her locking her office door.

"Miss. Nina". I called out gently but she immediately turned around facing her back at me.

"Yes, Julia". She answered calmly as I could feel her hiccuping.

Was she crying?

"You called for me".

"Sorry for the stress Julia, come tomorrow". She said while she blew her running nose on a face towel walking out of the school building.

Oh my, Miss. Nina was crying.
This is the first time I've seen her in such mood after 2 years of her lecturing us.

I believed that Miss. Nina is emotionally strong not to cry, but today I thought wrong.
She needs a friend.
She needs Mr. Ben.
But where is he?

Next day came so soon as we were taking biology lectures. The teacher who took such subject was a married man. Mr. Greg is fund of calling us by our surnames.

He was explaining why we use rat mostly for experiments.

"So student, we'll be carrying out our test in the next class so therefore your sit mate is your science partner through out this year and next because we'll be walking on dead bodies soon". Mr. Greg said as he held his biology text book and staring at us at the same time.

I looked at my right to see Jayden sitting beside me with a wide grin on his face.
Oh no, no no, this can't be happening.
Why him? He can't be my partner, his the worst. I prefer working with a dumb student than him.
I will have to change my partner.

"Any questions?"

"Yes Mr. Greg".

"Carry on".

"Whereby you can't work with your partner, can you change them?" I asked as Jayden stared at me confusedly.

"Robert, no you can't. You'll have to make your partner work with you at all course, if you want to get through 3rd year because this year is very sensitive. Any mistake can take you back to 2nd year". Mr. Greg reminded leaving the class.

So I'm stuck with this asshole, now? How great.

"So partner". I heard him say smugly.

Jayden is talking to me, he's not just talking to me... He's talking to me nicely. In the nicest manner if I may say.
What changed him?

I can't just say he has changed, all he just said was 'So Partner'.
If it was as then, I would smile a happy smile but not now. He's a bitch to start with.

I didn't reply, I just kept on looking at the white board full with annoyance.

"Okay... " He relied confusedly
"Lets start all over, I'm Jayden heart and you're Julia Robert. Since you're very good with biology than I am, there's a win win". He said smoothly.

His voice, so sweet, deep and masculine yet sweet.
Jayden did change, he sounds like a man.

I gave him no reply because no matter how sweet his voice may be, it was still getting on my nerve, he's just disturbing me. I just waited for the idiot to say something so that I could snap at him

"At least say something to... "

" You want me to say something. Okay here's something, quit the talking and shut up, you get that? Because your voice is itching my ears". I snapped quite rudely but he wasn't affected with my response.

"But as partners we need to make small talks". He argued calmly not to provoke me further.

"Wow! How wonderful". I said sarcastically.
"Here's a small talk. Shut Up and quit talking to me, simple". I said standing up from my sit, Jayden stared at me in shocked as I head out of the class.

We should make small talk? He's just kidding. Why didn't we make at least 15 minutes talk years back. Such a stupid guy.

He think he could just come around and pretend everything is fine. That's were he looses.

It was lunch time already, I ordered my lunch and sat down on my usual table then my three friends came around and sat with me.

"Whoohoo, biology was kissable". Lilian said jollily.

"That's a wrong adjective to use". Loveth retorted with a giddy smile as we all giggled.

"Lillian and I are partners for our practical". Rose said with a small smile.

"Nice".

"For me I'm with that nerd for a year". Loveth said plainly.

Talking about the nerd in Lilian and Loveth's class, she always have her eyes on her books. She have got a boyfriend but men, she's one nerd.

I lolz and replied, "She's truly a nerd". Loveth looked at me boringly for some sec.

"Look who's talking, at least she's very fashionable than you". Loveth retorted smugly.

"Yeah... Nice thing to say". I replied rolling my eyes.

"It's fact sweetie. When I come over to your house, I'll change your dressing wardrobe". Lilian commented.

"So, you didn't tell us who's your biology partner for this year?" Rose questioned.

"It's nobody important". I replied trying to end the topic.

"When someone says, someone isn't important that person is". Lilian and Loveth said in union.

"So who's that person". They asked.

"I said that person isn't important". I stood my ground.

"Still tell us, I want to know". Lilian whined.

If I didn't tell her she'll keep pestering me.

"It's Jayden". I replied blankly.

"Woah!" Loveth and Lilian said in shock.

"That's how I felt too". I said grumpily.

"That's not bad... " Lilian muttered to herself with glittering eyes but was loud enough for we three to hear her.

We looked at her suspiciously, wondering why she said so.

" I mean that's so bad". Lilian replied immediately with a grumpy face noticing our suspicion but I knew that expression of hers were fake.

"So, how are you going to coup?" Rose asked plainly.

"I don't know". I answered feeling a bit defeated with the situation.
"I'll just go with the flow". I said with a cheerful smile.

How can I feel bad because of an idiot. It's just for study purpose and that's all.

"Lets eat". I gestured taking a spoonful of rice.

After lunch, I went straight to Miss. Nina's office since I didn't have any lectures now. I was standing in front of her door then I gave a gentle knock.

I could hear little sobs and hiccups coming out from Miss. Nina's office.

"Is Miss. Nina crying again?" I asked myself.

I knocked on her office door again so that she will notice my presence but she ignored it. I kept knocking and knocking pestering her to let me in but still she didn't.
This is tough.

"Miss. Nina!'' I called out.

"You stupid child, leave me the fuck alone". She snapped with a crying voice.

"I will not Miss. Nina. What if you think of killing yourself?"
"You need someone to talk to". I advised.

"I don't need a 19 years old child to tell me what to do".
"So get out". She said rudely.

Beside her outburst, I still proceeded to open the door and stepped in, closing it behind me.

"Didn't I tell you to get out". She shouted at me angrily.

So now, she's transferring the aggression towards me this time. I just stared at her being unaffected.

She got up from her sit and walked up to me with an unfriendly glare.

"You stupid student can't just learn how to stay out of teachers private life, can you?" She asked as tears threatened to fall from her brown eyes.

"I'm not involving myself in your private life Miss. Nina. You just need someone to talk to".
"Your attitude towards us in class since 2 years ago and now. I just know you're passing through a lot and you need someone to talk to at least to release the emotional stress you're feeling". I said calmly staring at her eyes to see tears falling out already.

"What makes you think that you're the right person for me to tell you things that bothers me so much. When I know to well, you'll mock me with it". Miss. Nina said taking a step backwards.

"For It's a sin to use someone's weakness against them after they trusted you with it". I said simply.

"Just relax and tell me all".

I convinced and hugged her wrapping my hand around her waist. She was a bit taller than I am.
Miss. Nina was shocked at first but she hugged me back crying her eyes out.
She really needed a hug.

After some minutes of her crying. She broke the hug smiling at me.

"Lets sit and I'll tell you about it".

She said walking to the couch in the office. She sat on it as I did same facing her.

"There is this man I love so much. I could do anything for him, I mean anything Julia. When we first met, I felt the chemistry and connection we had together. He always visited me to check on me when I'm sad or under the weather. He always calls and texted me to see if I was financially okay. Those where the things that made me love him so much. But suddenly he changed, we always argue and he was always at fault but I'll always be the one to handle the situation so we don't break apart. I've always been afraid for him to leave me. After every few argument we had, he became distant. He doesn't call or text or visit. Those things bothered me for a long time and that's why I'm always grumpy in class".

She said and released a disappointing sigh.

"I told him how sad I felt because he doesn't check on me anymore and he said he was too busy to have time for me anymore but he promised to try checking on me. Lately, I saw him with different women. Does women, he makes out with them, touches them. Anytime I caught him with those uncivilised women he gives me useless excuses and the stupid part of me always forgive that brute".

She said as her eyes became watery again, I felt her sadness within.

"So one unfortunate day, I went to his house to spend time with him, maybe him being lonely made him to always be around women. The sitting room door was opened so I stepped in closing it bind me. Walking towards his room I saw him sleeping with a woman in my presence. He knew I was standing in front of him but he kept on fucking that slut".

She said as her tears dropped uncontrollably. Poor Miss. Nina.

"That's why I was crying yesterday evening. This morning, I was walking to the bus stop, when I saw him with the woman he slept with. He greeted me but I still didn't answer. He told me that it was fun to know me but this was the woman he wanted to marry in a month time. He told me such rubbish in front of my face".

Miss. Nina said breaking down again as she covered her teary face with her palm.

"He told me such nonsense after 3 years of dating him. I was so loyal, honest and truthful but he was the opposite of me. I saw this coming but I was blinded by the word Love. I'm so stupid". Miss expressed her feelings bitterly.

What such of man was that. Playing with someone's trust and humbleness. I quickly hugged Miss. Nina telling her I was here for her.

"Miss. Nina look at me, please". I said calmly as she raised her head looking at me.

"Stop crying ma'am. Don't you even cry for such nonentity. He doesn't deserve your tears. Not even a drop. You'll definitely find a man who is generous and loyal towards you. That stupid man wasn't for you at all. So please stop crying". I consoled her and gave her an assuring smile.

"Okay, but I don't think I'll ever fall in love again after this". She said cleaning her tears.

"Why? Of course you can".

"Julia, I think you've got class now. I don't want you to be late for you next lecture". She reminded hearing the school bell.

"Okay Miss. Nina. I'll come check on you when I'm jobless". I said jokingly as I walked up to the door.

I opened it stepping out as she gave me a smile, I never thought she could smile. She's such a beautiful woman with a sweet smile.
Don't bother Miss. Nina, your love is on their way.
