"Big brother! Look what I caught!"

"What'd you find Luka?" I say with a smile. Luka shoves a red bucket filled with crabs in front of my face. "Crabs!" He laughs and sits down beside me on the sand.

"That's amazing! How'd you find so many?" My eyes beaming with excitement. Luka pats my head and smiles. He puts a finger to his lips. "Secret."

We both laugh and I pull him into a hug. "What's wrong big brother?" Luka asks innocently, making small circles with my hands. "Huh? Nothing just thinking." I smile and mess my hair up a bit.

Luka frowns and flicks my forehead. "Ow!" I rub the spot that Luka had flicked and look at him. "What was that for?!" Luka stands up and crosses his hands.

"Something is wrong. You always do that thing when you're upset." I stare at him with a confused look. "What thing?" Lula rolls his eyes and let's out a frustrated groan. "The hair thing!"

"What 'hair' thing?" I frown and pout my lips. He was making no sense. "I noticed that you have a habit of messing with your hair when you're lying or something's wrong, and you messed with it just now so I know something's up."

I blink a couple times and try to comprehend what just happened. How does he know these things? I laugh and try to change the subject. I pick up Luka's bucket and grab his hand.

"Luka let's go. I think you need a nap." I grab him and he wraps his legs around my back. "No I don't, you big meanie." He lays his head on my back as I smile and shake my head.

After a few minutes of us walking in silence, I hear Luka sniffle. "Are you crying?" Luka buries his face in my back. "N-no. I'm just sad that we won't be able to see each other anymore." I frown and stop walking.

"Luka.."

"I don't want to leave you big brother. Don't let them take me..please." It broke my heart seeing him like this. Although we aren't brothers by blood, I still care a lot for him. "I don't want to leave you either, but you have a family now." 

He hugged me from behind. Tears started to fall down his cheeks and onto my shirt. "Don't leave me..." My heart drops and I start to feel teary eyed. His voice was filled with sadness and I could feel him wipe his tears on my shirt.

"I won't leave you, I promise. I would never leave you." I put him down on the sand and bent down near him, embracing his small frame. "You liar. Don't forget me, please." Luka held me close and sobbed in my arms. I began to cry as well.

Tears streamed down my cheeks, "I'll never forget you Luka. I swear."

"L-Luka.."

I feel poking on my cheeks. I giggle, my eyes closed shut. "Alois." I feel the poking once more and I start to squirm around. "Luka stop."

"Who's Luka?" My eyes shot open  as I jumped up from where I was laying. Suddenly a hard surface bumps against my head. "Ow!"

I forgot.. I'm at Ciel's place. "Oh my gosh Ciel. Are you okay?!" I rush over to him and put a hand on his forehead. "Yeah, I'm fine." I say with a small sigh. He rubs his head with his hands a couple of times to lessen the pain.

"Sorry about that. Guess I was dreaming.." I whisper in a soft voice, my eyes avoiding any contact with his. I hear a small laugh from him, making a small smile form from my lips.

"I guess so. One question though, who's Luka?" Ciel questioned, his voice sounded a bit hurt almost. My smile faded and I felt myself get teary eyed. Ciel noticed my distress and started to panic.

"It's okay! You don't have to tell me if you don't want to-" I cut him off with a small laugh. "Ciel just shut up." He listens and sits beside me with a pillow in his arms.

"Luka is my brother. Not by blood but adoptive. You see, I lived in a town far away from here, but it burned down. I was adopted not long after by some old man." I shivered at the mention of that filthy old man.

"But he started to um, do things to me. I didn't know what to do. I had no one to talk to, no one to lean on. Everyone left me all alone and that hurt me." It took so much courage to tell him this.

Even though this was years ago, it still affected me. That old man didn't deserve the punishment he had gotten. No, he deserved much worse. "They arrested the old geezer and put me in an orphanage, that's when I met Luka. I basically raised him." I let out a chuckle at the end.

Ciel gave a half hearted smile. "I told him that one day, I'd adopt him, but a family already beat me to that and we've been separated ever since." I look at Ciel from the corner of my eye and see him frowning.

"Aw that must be horrible, Alois. I'm very sorry to hear that you've been through so much."

My heart flutters and I gave him a hug. "It's okay. It's all in the past now. I'm just scared that you'll leave me.." I say that with complete honesty. I meant every word. Ciel meant a lot to me, he's my best friend.

I love him.

"You're safe with me, I promise. And when you get scared: Look me in the eyes and hold me tighter because I'm not going anywhere." My stomach does a flip at this. Heat rose to my face, I flicked his forehead and turned around.

"You idiot." I hear him complain and whine but I ignore him. A smile appears on my face, Thank you Ciel.
