I'm not a kid!
The sun greeted the lands signaling the start for a new, and hopefully a peaceful day.
Meliodas looked as Konomi who was peacefully sleeping next to him. She had slept earlier at the bar downstairs so the blonde decided to bring her to his room for her to relax. Wearing an evil grin Meliodas started groping her boobs, Konomi's expression shifted to that one of distressed.
Opening her eyes, she stared at Meliodas for a moment not processing what's happening as he continued groping her boobs. That was before her confusion look turned to anger. "M-Meliodas you idiot!" she screamed, kicking the blonde, making him fall of the bed.
The lilac then looked right and left, "When did I get here?"
"You fell asleep down so I decided to bring you up to my room." Meliodas explained smiling sheepishly.
Konomi fumed, "Doesn't explain your last behavior."
~
"I still don't think that I should be here." Konomi grumbled as she placed her head on the table.
"I'm sorry." Elizabeth apologized as she gave the lilac an apologetic look.
"I still don't understand why you want her to stay with us, Meliodas." Hawk confessed, inspecting the girl.
"Konomi and I are old friends, plus she is as strong as the other sins, if not more." he explained causing Elizabeth and Hawk to blink in surprise.
"As strong as a s-sin?" Elizabeth repeated looking back at the now sleeping lilac.
"She definitely doesn't look like it." Hawk commented staring at Konomi who was sleeping peacefully.
"Like what?" Konomi asked as she began stretching, the sleepiness finally leaving her.
"Elizabeth, Konomi, I need you two for a bit." Meliodas called.
"Coming!" they both replied simultaneously.
"Um.. This outfit..." Elizabeth muttered her face flashed.
"Why do they have to wear something like that?" Hawk asked.
Konomi was staring at the mirror, she and Elizabeth wore matching clothes as they were both going to be working as waiters at the bar, that's to help Meliodas in collecting information about the other sins.
"It doesn't look bad at me!" Konomi exclaimed.
"Seriously?!" the pig yelled.
"You collect information while me and Konomi-san work as waiters, right?" Elizabeth asked looking at Meliodas as he walked around her like she was a prey.
Upon seeing that Konomi just sighed and disappeared form the room unnoticed.
Leaving Boar Hat she sat lazily at Hawk momma before the giant pig suddenly stopped. Konomi, who noticed the small village not far, decided to go there.
The village of Bernia,
The village is renowned for brewing the famous Bernia Ale. The ale is made from the river water that flows through the village, hailed as having the best sweetness, richness and fragrance of apples in Britannia; along with grout that grow abundantly along the banks.
As she approached the river, the lilac took notice of the dried river before she got to her destination.
Seeing the amount of people gather in one spot made her title her head to the side, "What's going on, a festival?"
"That's no festival." A man answered her.
"Huh?"
"We are trying to draw to swords two Holy Knights buried."
"Two Holy Knights? Why would they do that?"
"A few days ago, we witnessed the wrath of two Holy Knights..." Another man started. "And with the magic of those swords, the flow of water to this village has been cut off."
Konomi looked at the swords which were buried next to each other as the villagers tried to draw 'em. "So not only the water will be gone, but the grouts will die as well."
"If this happens, Bernia Ale will.. damn."
"Sounds bad." Meliods said from behind Konomi who turned her head around.
"Is it the Holy Knight you defeated?" Elizabeth asked recalling when she first met the blonde.
"You mean Twig?" the lilac asked.
"It's Twigo." Meliodas corrected. "But he's no Holy Knight. A true Holy Knights isn't as weak as him."
"Only the power of a Holy Knight could pull that sword out, it's hard to tell this to the residents, but this village is doomed." An old man explained, staring sadly at the villagers as they continued in trying to pull out the sword.
"No way.." Elizabeth said in shock.
"You're all pathetic." A new voice mocked, a short and kid with hair that is skipped out in two appeared, he also has a scar under his left cheek. "To which Holy Knights those swords belong to? This is nothing to my friend, a deadly sin!" he announced.
The villager then started scolding the poor boy about mentioning the criminals, the seven deadly sins. And reminding him of the fact that they can't irritate the Holy Knights anymore, otherwise they will just get into more trouble.
They also started blaming him for what happened.
"What?" the kid, who is named Mead asked, hos body shaking. "This isn't what I wanted..."
"Enough of your bullshit!"
"Mead you asshat!" a little girl yelled as she grabbed a stone and attempted to throw it at Mead. Konomi who noticed that the stone was actually thrown at her ducked just in time.
Glancing behind after hearing a familiar groan she was met with Meliodas who got hit on his face with the stone.
Looking at Meliodas as the stone looked stuck on his face, Konomi who couldn't contain her laughter pointed at him. "Ahahaha! You look ridi-" the lilac was interrupted as a stone also hit her on the face. "Ouch!"
"I hate all of you!" Mead cried angrily.
"We also hate you!" another kid yelled before everyone started to throw stones at the three.
Meliodas started pushing Mead away from the angry crowd and to the bar, followed by Konomi. "Why did we get involved in this?"
"'Cause we're awesome!" the lilac replied getting in front of Meliodas while running backwards.
Mead sat lazily at the bar looking at Konomi as she talked, "It appears like you don't have the best of reputation around here."
"Hey kid, about-" Meliodas started but was interrupted by Mead, "You're a kid too. You know?" he stated.
"No I'm not."
"Yeah, he's not a kid, he's a baby!" Konomi announced as she jumped on the blonde's back, though he didn't budge.
"You're the baby one here." The blonde mumbled but was unheard, the lilac released her grip on him.
Mead sweat-dropped at the lilac whose name he didn't know then looked around. "Is this a bar?"
"This is my bar, the Boar Hat."
"I'm hungry." Mead said.
"If you answer my questions, I'll bring you food." The blonde offered.
"Food first." Mead argued.
The food got ready and Mead's eyes lightened up at the sight of it. "Looks delicious!" he exclaimed as he began to eat. "This tastes awful!" he shouted.
"Here, I brought you some juice." The lilac offered, Mead took the glass without hesitation, missing the mischievous glint in her eyes.
He drank the whole drink in one go before he suddenly stood up and screamed, now feeling the spicy taste in his mouth. "Water! I need some water!" Meliodas immediately gave him what he asked for before glaring at the lilac.
"That wasn't pretty." He scolded.
Konomi grinned as she stared at him, "That's why I did it."
The lilac haired girl watched as Meliodas took a cup of Ale. Getting her own cup she motioned for the cup, Meliodas gave her a look knowing that she can't handle drinks before sighing and putting some of the drink in her cup.
Getting a seat besides Mead who gave her a glare, Konomi starting gulping her drink as well as Meliodas. Mead who sniffed the familiar smell looked at the two cups in awe, "This smell is.. Bernia Ale, is it not?" he excalimed before he realized something, "You're a kid and you can drink that stuff?"
Meliodas pointed at the now half-asleep, drunk female before speak, "If someone's here is a kid, don't you think that she is?"
It rained so heavily as a lilac haired girl stared blankly at the distance. Was it a sin? Was the fact that she was born.. a sin she had to pay for?
The girl was soaked from head to toe, she still didn't move not wanting to think of what is there to come.
She heard footsteps approach her from behind, "It wasn't a sin that you were born, in fact I think it's the exact opposite!" a voice confessed, before she even had the time to turn to look at the owner of the voice, she was pulled to the world of reality.
How did the owner of that voice knew her thoughts remained a mystery to the girl. But, whoever that person was sure cheered her up!
"And they step all over us! The Holy Knights don't get punished for it!" Mead explained, his voice cracking.
Blinking once, twice, thrice, "Did I miss something?" she asked.
Everyone sweat-dropped at her question while she was stretching, the sleepiness isn't leaving her completely. The lilac who noticed the presence of both Elizabeth and Hawk grew surprised before inquiring, "When did you two get here?"
"Uh.. Mead explained how the two Holy Knights mocked their drink, which caused him to put a bug in one of the two drink which angered the Holy Knights."
"How did you summarize that all in just one sentence?!" Hawk inquired.
"What about one of your friends being a deadly sin?" Meliodas asked Mead who looked away before answering, "That's a lie..."
"I had high hopes." The blonde said.
"Why did you make such a lie?" Elizabeth questioned.
"The Seven Deadly Sins are sought out by the Holy Knigths, right?" Mead started explaining, "If they are being chased by the Holy Knights who are evil, they must be good people!"
Konomi wiggled her eyebrows at Meliodas as he looked at her, the blonde just ignored her actions.
The lilac wrapped her arms around Mead who fumed, still angry about the prank she did. "How about who return those swords to where they belong?" she asked.
Mead, who caught on to what she was trying to say, looked at her with hopeful eyes before they melted, "But how?"
Before she could get a chance to answer, noises from the village echoed all of a sudden. Mead got up from his seat and was about to run to the village when Konomi grabbed his wrist. "What are you doing?! I have to go!" he yelled.
"This is faster.." Konomi whispered before the two of the disappeared from sight.
"I don't think I'll ever get used to this." Hawk commented, staring at the place where Konomi and Mead were standing a second ago.
~
"Alright scumbags, listen up!" two knights shouted as they appeared before the villagers. "If you do not draw the sword before sunset, we will increase taxes by tenfold!"
"This is insane!"
"If we do not have water, not a drop to drink, how could you imagine us paying ten times mo-"
Ooof!
The residents stopped their bickering when two figures appeared out of nowhere, each landing on a knight, which made them all fall.
Mead opened his eyes to realize he was in the village, impossible! We were just in the bar a second ago! He thought.
Konomi was the first to get up, landing her foot on the knight's face. The villagers wanted to laugh at the knight's expression but tried really hard not to.
"Wh-What are you doing?!" the knight who was under Konomi's foot yelled.
Mead, on the other hand was kicked down by the knight as he attempted to kick him again but harder. The lilac who noticed this, disappeared grabbing Mead and appeared right behind the knights.
The knight who didn't expect the disappearance of the kid kicked the air and somehow managed to fall on the ground.
The villagers blinked their eyes in disbelief at what they saw, the knights stood frozen, searching with their eyes where those two disappeared two.
"What are we going to do, if we didn't draw the sword by sunset.. the taxes.." one villager complained
Mead who had heard that ran then grabbed one of the swords.
The knights who were now looking at Mead with confidence smirked, "You again, you can't be having any fun doing this.."
"Take it now or it's a tax by twentyf-" a kick on the knight's face was more than enough to shut him up, although the extra power sent him flying before he collided with the wall and fell unconscious.
"Oops, my leg slipped, sorry." The lilac apologized not looking sorry at all, she was getting stares of shock from almost everybody.
"What do you think you're doing?!" the other knight yelled angrily. "If you do not we'll raise the taxes b-"
"I'm not a part of this village, having raising the taxes will have no effect on me." She declared, that shut the knight up.
Looking at Mead trying to pull one of the swords the villagers went to aide him one by one. Soon enough, all the residents were trying to pull the sword.
"Hey! Remember what we said?" the knight said as another one stood next to him.
The two knight were drinking and laughing while mocking the villagers, they were shocked when their cups suddenly disappeared. "People who can not appreciate a good drink have no right to drink it." Meliodas said getting closer to where Konomi was.
Their eyes locked, they both nodded at each other.
The residents, who were trying to pull the swords together using ropes fell as the ropes snapped into two each.
All of the villagers were lying on the ground as Meliodas kept walking between them while drinking the drink which he stole.
"Here you go." The blonde said as he placed the two cups near Mead as he lay on the ground.
"Took you long enough." Konomi said.
Meliodas blinked, "If you were waiting that long, then why didn't you just draw the two swords by yourself?"
"There are two of those swords, and two of us, I thought it'll be cooler if you and I drew them together at the same time." She said proudly.
The residents watched as each of them grabbed a sword's handle, pulling it easily they heard gasps from the villagers.
"Those kids.." Konomi heard one of the knights say before she looked at him with an irritated look.
"I'm not a kid! I'm taller than Mel-mmm!" the lilac was cut off by a hand covering her mouth.
"Don't say my name." Meliodas said as the flow of water returned to the village, attacking the knights in the process. "We don't want to attract extra attention." The blonde explained, the lilac nodded. "Good girl." He said before releasing her.
Konomi beamed as she saw a rainbow form, rainbows has always been able to cheer her up whenever she was sad.
Going to the fallen knights, the lilac and the blonde threw the swords they had near their figures. "You have forgotten something." They both said in unison.
The two knights took the swords before fleeing, forgetting the third knight who was still unconscious. Konomi, who was wearing an evil grin, grabbed the unconscious knight by his foot and threw it at the two fleeing figures. "You forgot to take something with ya!" she shouted, the body of the knight crushed the two and lay on top of them.
"Hey, are you two really-" Mead tried to ask as soon as he saw Konomi and Meliodas.
"No need to have doubts. I am an exemplary bar owner!" the blonde said.
"And I'm a waiter with Elizabeth here!" the lilac said pulling the silver haired girl towards here.
"That's not it!" Mead yelled.
"You have a task to fulfill, right?" Konomi asked, cutting him off.
"Mead, we're sorry." The elder apologized in place of the whole village. "Can you forgive us?"
"Forgiving or not.. I have no one."
Pushing Mead forward, Meliodas whispered loud enough for him to hear, "Go."
"What?! Go?" Mead whispered looking at the blonde before turning to look at the villagers, who he saw as his family.
The residents started calling out to him, Mead then couldn't take it anymore and broke into tears as he ran and hugged the elder, who welcomed him with open arms.
