A small yelp escapes as my head rushes to the floor, and I brace for impact, but suddenly, I can feel warm, strong arms supporting my back. "N-Natsu?" I stutter. He smiles back innocently. "You're not getting away from me. Never again." I smile at the reference to one of my favorite books. He must've learned the quote from Levy.

"Since when are you keen to books?" Natsu looks down sheepishly. "I found your list of wanted pickup lines, haha." Immediately my face turns the color of Erza's hair. "Why the hell were you going through my undergarments drawer?" I felt mortified to just imagine Natsu digging through my panties. "Well, y-you were gone, and your scent is most potent in your underwear, and I missed you...." My face turns a deeper crimson. "You SNIFFED my UNDERWEAR?!!" Natsu scratches the back of his neck and chuckles nervously. Talk about violation of privacy!

I inhaled deeply, aware that if I let my emotions out of control, my powers would let loose and spring free from the limiters, drunk on freedom. Needless to say, I can't have that happen.

I'm startled out of my revelry when Mira's voice blares from her megaphon. "NATSU! LUCY! GET YOUR ASSES IN GEAR AND DANCE!" "Aye, sir!" Natsu shouted back in fear. I merely laugh and take Natsu's hand in mine.

"I didn't know you could dance, Natsu. The last time you tried- what happened, again?"
Natsu grins sheepishly. "I set your clothes on fire."
"Correct. And never, ever do it again. Ever. I'm putting myself in enough danger just by being near you." I joke.

For some reason, Natsu looks downcast. "You don't really think I'm a danger to you, right?" "Um, of course not! You're my best friend!"

By now, we'd stopped dancing.
Natsu looks straight at me, his face drawing. His warm onyx eyes burn into my brown ones, and I can feel his warm breath coming in contact with my face.
"Good, because...." He takes a shaky breath. "I don't want you to leave me. Ever since I met you, I wanted to spend all my time with you. I wanted to spend my forever with you. I was concerned that it would affect our relationship as best friends, so I concealed it. There's no reason to hide it anymore. Luce, can we be more than just best friends?"

I gave Natsu his answer by pulling him into a kiss.
