Ash woke up in a bright place. It was his home, before he left his friends.

"Ash, it's been a long time."

Ash looked behind, and saw a man who he had only seen in pictures.

"Dad?"

"Yes kiddo"

"Does that mean that I am dead?"

"Unfortunately, yes."

"How?" asked Ash.

"Well, you used your life force, or aura, to make your Z-move extremely powerful" said his father.

"Did I defeat him?" asked Ash.

"Yes"

Meanwhile, the Z-move had also hit Giovanni, shocking him into oblivion.

"Ash!" yelled Serena.

They ran towards him.

"Pika" said Pikachu, not believing he was dead. He hit him over and over again with thunderbolt. But soon, he was exhausted.

Everyone was crying. Serena had her head on his chest, as she hugged him.

Giratina fired random dark pulse and dragon breaths.

"Why do only the best die early" yelled Volcanion.

"Ash-Kan" lamented Hoopa.

"Ash, why? First Amber, then you?" said Mewtwo.

Guzma was in the corner, along with the Steven, Cynthia, Alder, Lance, Professor Kukui, and the rest of the elite four. 

"Hey dad, was I a good pokemon trainer?" asked Ash to his dad.

"You were the best" said Red.

"Are my friends safe?"

"Yes"

"Everyone?"

"Everyone Ash."

"So, what's next?"

"Well, you see, Arceus was extremely happy with you."

"What do you mean, dad?"

"He sent me to tell you, that you have the chance to go back."

"What?"

"Yeah. He said that you saved the world countless time. I mean, you are so selfless and brave. So, for once, be selfish. Just say you want your life back."

"What will it cost?"

"Nothing, but Jirachi, who offered this, will have to go to another 1000 year sleep."

"What! That would disturb the natural flow."

"No. It won't. Just for this one time, be selfish."

"Okay. I want my life back."

Back where Ash had died, Serena was still hugging him. Giratina had calmed down, but was still very sad. Suddenly, Serena felt Ash's heart beat.

"Huh? Ash is alive!" yelled Serena.

"That is not possible. We checked his pulse, it wasn't there" said Brock. As if on cue, Ash woke up.

"Pika!" yelled Pikachu as he hugged Ash. Everyone was beyond happy.

"Ash! I am sorry for everything" said Serena, crying.

He had a serious face. He looked at Pikachu, smirked and motioned him to get off.

"Ash I am so sorr mmmm" said Serena, before Ash took her hand, pulled her and kissed her on her lips. He again laid on ground, but this time with Serena on top.

Serena was shocked, but soon returned the kiss. She was still crying.

"Stop crying, because I love you. I love you more than anything," said Ash.

"I am sorry" said Serena, as she buried her face in his chest.

"I know, now stop crying, I don't want salty kisses" said Ash.

"Very funny" Serena said, pouting.

"Come on, let's go" said Ash.

"We too are sorry Ash," said Brock.

"yeah, I know. I forgive you," said Ash.

"REALLY! You are not joking?" asked Max.

"Yeah," said Ash.

"Thanks. But just so you know, we never thought that you were weak. We were just worried," said Dawn.

"I know," said Ash, as he tried to get up. "Ow ow ow! I think I injured my ankle."

Serena put his hand around her neck, and helped him stand.

"BTW what was with the song?" asked Ash.

"That was Meloetta. She thought a nice song will help you," said Mewtwo.

"Well, it kinda did," said Ash.

"Well, I wanted to ask you, could you... uh... " said Mewtwo, looking down.

"What Mewtwo?" asked Ash.

"Could you catch me?" asked Mewtwo.

"1 Since when did you want to get caught, 2 since when did you become so shy, and 3 why would I not catch you?" asked Ash in disbelief.

"Well, I wanted to join your team since I saw your Pikachu's power and I am not shy" Mewtwo said, offended.

"Ash-kan, we must go. Bye Pikan," said Hoopa.

"Yeah Ash, bye" said Diancie and Volcanion.

"Bye" said Ash.

Then Giratina licked his face. "Bye Ash," said Giratina before going to reverse world.

"Well, let's go to our room," said Ash.

The next day-

"Let's give it up for the world champion Ash Ketchum," said the announcer, as Mr Goodshow gave Ash the trophy.

A few days later, he was in front of his house. He took a deep breath, and then entered the house.

"Mom, I am home" said Ash.

"Ash!" yelled Delia as she hugged him.

"Mom, air" said Ash.

"So, how was it?" asked Delia.

"What?"

"The championship."

"It was great" said Ash.

"How did it feel?"

"Really nice. Though not better than this, or the ki... uh oh shit!" said Ash.

"What were you saying?" teased Delia.

"Nothing" said Ash, blushing.

"No I heard 'kiss'" said Delia.

"Okay, well, the kisses me and Serena had" said Ash, in a defeated tone.

"Wow, you found a keeper!" said Delia.

"Mom, by any chance, have you been spending too much time with Bonnie?" asked Ash.

"No, Why?"

"Nothing, forget it."

About a month had passed. Ash and Serena had started living together. Everything was going fine.

"Hey Ash, what are you doing?" asked Serena.

"Nothing" said Ash.

"Well, let's go on a journey" said Serena.

"Actually, I never explored Alola properly due to school, so I had booked tickets as surprise."

"WHAT! Really?" asked Serena.

"Yep" said Ash, as he pulled her in a kiss.

They travelled through Alola for three months.

They were resting along a beach. 

"Ash, will I win the Masterclass this year?" asked Serena.

"Of course you will, you are the most beautiful girl there is" replied Ash.

"Thanks Ash. I don't know what I would do without you," said Serena.

"Well, then let's make sure you never find out" said Ash.

"What do you mean Ash?" asked Serena, puzzled.

Ash went on his knees, took out a box and opened it, revealing a diamond ring.

"Serena Yvonne, will you marry me?" asked Ash.

It felt as if time had stopped.

Serena just looked at the ring. "YES YES YES YES!" yelled Serena at top of her voice.
