Fighting and Screaming
Namjoon's POV
The adrenaline coursed through my veins, determination and male nature taking over. I was going to win this fight, injured or not, he started it. He could hear Jin's rapid breaths and see the naughty glare in his eyes. I was smiling, ready to win, Jin not able to get out from under me.
"What were you saying earlier?" I asked, confidence filling me to the brim. I get a tough look in return.
"OW! MY ARM!!" Jin suddenly shouts, concern instantly filling me. I quickly get off of him, feeling bad again. I can't keep hurting him!
"Oh my goodness I'm sorry Jin! Are you okay!?" I asked, panicking.
He mutters something, but I can't hear him, so I lean closer.
"What was that?" I ask? I suddenly find myself on my back, looking up in the eyes of Jin, smiling triumphantly.
"I said," he growls, "I am your hyung, and I will always win. Don't underestimate me!"
I look up at him in disbelief. Hyung sure was smart! But he played with my feelings! I can't let him do that! I look at him, not knowing what to do.
"I demand five dollars from each of you who betted against Jin!" Hobi shouts. They all groan and take out their wallets.
"I demand half of that!" Jin shouts at Hobi. I guess they placed bets when we were fighting, I couldn't hear.
"Nice try though Namjoon, no need to be ashamed." Jin says to me, smooth like a snake.
He gets up off of me and struts away, but I stick my leg out to trip him. I quickly jump up, and I am once again on top.
"Who said I was done?" I tease. Jin responds with a struggle, and the next thing I know we are both rolling around, fighting without best efforts. Let's just say we'll both never make the wrestling team..
Jin is again on top of me, looking at me with wild eyes when the door suddenly bursts open. My blood turns cold.
"KIM SEOKJIN WHAT IN GOD'S CREATION IS GOING ON UP HERE YOU SHOULD BE RESTING YOUNG MAN! GET OFF NAMJOON AT ONCE!" his mom yells at us.
My face burns and I can see his is bright red as well. He gets off me quickly and scurries to his bed. The others are poorly trying to contain their laughter.
"As for the rest of you, what are you thinking having Jin rough housing like this when you know he should be resting!?" she questions the others. They giggles instantly cease. They look down and mutter apologies to Jin's mom. Just then Jin giggles, seeming to enjoy his mom scolding others for once. His mom's glare cuts him off.
"I want you all to leave, let Jin rest, please." his mom says to us. We all leave, one by one. I leave first, ready to hurry up and get to my house to avoid confrontation with his mom.
The others are laughing, bumping into one another as we get down the stairs.
"It was a pretty good fight, but no offense, you two were rolling around like a pair of schoolgirls," Jungkook says, snickering.
"Are you serious? You wanna go next? Meet me outside Kookie, we'll see who fights like a schoolgirl." I say, halfway serious. My ego was a bit deflated, and I didn't appreciate his teasing.
"Nah, you look a bit tired, maybe some other time." Jungkook replies sheepishly, received a few slaps on the back from Jimin and Hobi.
We head out the door, and disperse on the Kim's front lawn. "See you tomorrow!" Hobi shouts to all of us, walking away with Yoongi. Jungkook and Jimin walk the opposite way, shoulders bumping into one another. They were so cute!
This just left me, walking across my own front lawn, and into my front door. I walk in, and my mom emerges from the kitchen. "Hey sweetheart! How was your day?" she asks, half peeled potatoes in her hand.
I follow her back into the kitchen, grabbing the spare peeler from the counter. I continue to help her peel the potatoes.
"Yeah, I took notes and brought them to Jin." I say, smiling.
"How was it over there? Must have been pretty quiet, him being kinda mellow in bed, huh?" she asked.
"Yeah, it was pretty chill, we all just talked, our other friend were there." I say. I decide it was best for her not to know of all the commotion. Save me a lecture.
"That's funny, because I spoke to Jin's mom a few minutes ago, and she told me about a supposed fight the went on... Was there another kid named Namjoon there?" my mom asks slyly, knowing I'm caught.
I accidentally nick my thumb with the peeler and let out a shout in pain. "Aish! I can never be graceful for one day!" I shout. My mom walks back from the counter with a damp dishcloth. "You'll be fine, I've done it countless time. Suck it up and explain to me why you would be all over this boy, and then LIE to me about it!" my mom presses. I secure the cloth around my thumb with some pressure.
"To be fair," I defend, "He started it! He tackled me!"
"You didn't have to fight back!" she scolds.
"I did! I didn't hurt him at all, I think he won too!" I try to earn her sympathy but I don't succeed. She tsks and shakes her head.
"I suggest you go relax, and get those masculine feeling under control, and think about how to treat your friends. We've not even been here a week and you are beating up your friends!" she scolds, shooing me up the stairs.
"Yes mom..." I say defeated. I make my way up the rest of the stairs, and settle into my room. I lift the cloth and see that the bleeding is about done. It wasn't as bad as I had thought. I toss my cloth onto my dresser, and reach for my phone in my back pocket. My breathe hitches. At first I was concerned now realizing it could have cracked in our fight, but what i just realized it worse- it was not there at all.
I would have to go back to get it...
