A friendship can get to be a complicated relationship

Especially when it comes down to communication and time

One might say two

But what is heard is too

Simply not paying attention to your friend's words

Can cause fractures in the very foundation of the friendship

We base so much on truth and honesty...

If we can't be honest

We really can't be friends

And if you lie to me

Trust dies

That is why I have very few friends

I expect the best from my friends

Because my friends get the very best

No

It's not tit for tat

I can't do that

I'm way more destructive

I know that you will show me what I mean to you in time

So I choose to be without if the only time you have for me is the when I benefit you

It may be a devastating loss

Worse would be to continue the small chipping away of self by accepting mistreatment

Over time

The loss winds being complete and total

So you see

It's not complicated all

I give my friends my very best

Can we be friends
