Chapter 11: Preparations #2
Kendra's POV
Ugh... Another day, another torture. I wish it's vacation. So no school, no annoyingness, no pressure and no people who are doin' weird stuff. But I admitted that this school year is much interesting than I thought. Anyway, I'll just stop talkin' to myself.
I arrived at school and same as always, students are all over the place. Our classroom's still locked though since our adviser's here around 7. Most of the time, we're the class who goes in last.
I placed my bag beside the door then I sat down next to it. I put my hood on and listened to music. I want to go to the roof but I don't wanna be late again. This is day #3 and I bet there's nothing much to do. I hope.
*Timeskip to lunch*
After I'm done eating, I went out to the library. I have nothing else to do so I read some Geronimo Stilton books. But I felt lazy that's why I returned and to my surprise, Shawn has my guitar strapped at his back, talking with his friends as they walk around. He seriously ticks me off whenever he has my guitar and not using it.
"Showoff." I muttered. I stood infront of the boys, asking for my guitar. Instead of what I wanted, I received complaints. Hearing then annoyed me so I forced him to hand Fernando. Once I had it back, I carried it with me inside. There are still people around, yet I just mind my own business on fixing there string instrument on it's bag. As I was doing that, someone called me, providing me to stop. It was Laiza.
"You gonna use that, bro?"she questioned.
"Uh... Why won't ya use Shawn's?" I actually don't want my guitar to easily just be in anybody's hands.
"Eh... Yours is better."she answered. Well, I can't disagree with that. This is a Fernando afterall.
"Fine." I gave up, handing it to her. After that, I took Shawn's black guitar and sat on a chair nearby. Laiza sat beside me. She's still practicing "All of Me". I guess it really takes a lot of practice to get it right. For me, it takes a week to perfect a 4-chord only song which was "Zombie" by The Cranberries. It was just simple and easy.
"Can you play it?"the beginner requested.
"Uhmm... Sure?" I placed my fingers in position then started strumming. But I didn't sing. I hate being a showoff anyways. At the same time, aside from Laiza who's watching, my senses are telling me that there's somebody else. I looked around and caught Diane's staring but she instantly faced away. Wonder what's up with her?
Few minutes when I finished the song, L. Go is trying to follow my version which she thinks it's easier from the original. Yet it takes time for her to perfect it.
"Question: Aren't Em7 and Cadd9 the same?"she played the chords as she said it.
"They may sound the same at first but there is still a slight difference of the two." I strummed the chords and they sounded much more different from Laiza's strumming. "Meaning you have to fix and press your fingers properly on their positions together to how you play it."
"Man. This is hard." I heard her complain. I ignored that since that's how I was before. But she'll get it. Probably.

Kendra went out for a while to take some air (cuz it's not fresh). Meanwhile, Diane sat right next to Laiza, not knowing that she's bothering her.
"What?"the guitar newbie paused, facing at her.
"Oh nothing." Rainshine chirped. "But can ya teach me?"
"Diane. What does it look like to you?"
"Right..."the blonde murmured. "You're a beginner."
"Call Kendra to teach you." Laiza continued on her practice. " She make things easier to understand though it's a bit complexed."
D listened but when Lake returned, she didn't talk. Go noticed this so she backed her up.
"Yo. You've got another student here."patting the back of their classmate. "You won't mind right?"
"Well, I guess I could handle two." K replied. She then handed Scapream's guitar, which was just laying on the chair near her, to Diane who gladly accepted it and proceeded in learning.
*Timeskip to practice time*
Kendra's POV
.....Just as I expected. There's nothing much to do. The class is noisy and I'm laying my head on my crossed arms, that's on the table, trying to sleep. My hood's on and no one's disturbing me so why can't I?
.....I still can't sleep. It's pretty ironic that during lessons, I'm sleepy but when there's nothing to do, I'm not. I thought I could draw some OC ponies on my sketchbook which I know it's weird. Well, I was curious of the show and I ended up being a fan. All because of Jill's bag that has a pink pony on it. By the way, she caught me and I (probably) never draw a single pony ever again. To be honest, even if we did practice, the other members would do the opposite.
Laiza's learning to play guitar, the others are playing and the rest are practicing. I wonder what I should do.
*The next day of lunch*
I'm with my 2 students, Diane and Martha. Laiza is off with Rufino's guitar so it's just us 3. Jeon's girl brought a guitar chords book which they're now following. Me? I'm just checking and correcting them. Though, the BTS fangirl didn't get that much practice.
...
.....
.....It's boring.....
*The day after that*
*Practice time*
"Ugh....." I groaned, flumping myself at my seat. "So boring..."
I've tried strumming guitar, tried drawing, tried sleeping, tried roaming and even tried talking to myself. This "practice time" is nothing but boredom. I sat by the door frame of the back since the BTS fans are practicing by the front door. Facing at my right is Class D, 6-Forebearance. There are groups practicing outside then there's another schoolmate walking out of the room. She caught my eye...
It was Halia. Same as before but the only difference is that she's carrying a ukulele. Wait... She knows how to play one?
"Earth to Kendra!!!" a voice snapped me off of my thoughts. I faced to where it was and it belonged to Laiza.
"Finally! Now can I borrow your guitar?"
I just nod in agreement and she left. I faced back at class D but Halia's gone. Must've went back inside... GRAAAH!!! Why am I thinking about her?!... But she seemed to mature a lot and turned out to be great leader to others... Meh. Who am I kidding? I'll just go practice to shake these thoughts off.

Meanwhile... as Kendra plays her instrument, someone was staring at her.
(A/N: Take note. That was a true event. Including the bonus)
