(Sorry for any mistakes but here's chapter two! I did add my own twists to the game.)

A young boy walked through the dirt pathway in the forest, his head down and back hunched as he dragged his feet. His dark brown hair was glued against his forehead and neck by sweat as the sun beated down on him. Even though the leaves cover some of the sun, the sun rays seem to find a way to capture the poor boy. His light orange eyes shifted around looking for any sings of a village nearby. Noticing he wasn't nearby any sort of village, the boy sat down under a tree for shade, the shade could only do so much to protect him from this huge heat wave. The boy was glad he was wearing a tank top and not a jacket of some sorts, sadly his water had ran out leaving him very dehydrated.

Deciding that he should have a small break before continuing his adventure, the boy closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

"Tell me why we have to go all the way out here again? And during a massive heat wave!" Doro asked as he wiped the sweat off his forehead and rubbed it on Astra's t-shirt sleeve.

"First, ew, and second, it's because we are nice people and we are meant to help the citizens out since we are SS warriors. It's our job to help out the people who can't help themselves, that includes getting a girls teddy bear that she lost in the forest." Astra said as she rubbed the sleeve Doro whipped his sweat on and rubbed it back on Doro.

"Are you tired? You wanna take a break in the shade?" Astra asked,

"No it's fine, hand me some water.", Astra reaches into her small bag and pulled out a water bottle before handing it over to Doro. Doro twisted the cap, he drank the water before his face twisted in disgust and he stopped drinking.

"What's wrong?" Astra asked, worried,

"The waters warm, warm waters gross..."

"Take what you have dumbo." Astra hissed while she lightly slapped the back of his head,

"Ow...." Doro whined as he rubbed the back of his head,

"Stop being such a baby." Astra mumbled as the two continued walking. They walked through the dirt path when they came across a boy asleep in the shade of a tree.

"What the....is he okay?" Doro asked, the two looked at each other before slowly approaching the boy. When they reached him they noticed he was asleep, the boy had a scar across his nose, a medium sized shark tooth necklace and a fedora. He wore light blue ripped jeans and a white tank top, his metal arm rested on his lap,

"At least he's not hurt but it's not good to be out in a heat wave like this." Astra commented,

"Let's wake him up." she said, Doro nodded before softly shaking the boy awake. His eyes fluttered open before he shot up, hitting Doro in the nose, and shuffled away from the two, somehow keeping his fedora on his head,

"Ow, oh gosh....I think it broke." Doro whined while holding his nose, Astra knew he was joking and turned to the boy,

"Hey there, are you okay? You're not hurt? Why are you out here in such heat?" She asked, the boy opened his mouth to respond but his voice came out raspy from the lack of water.

"Doro, pass me some water." Astra said, Doro grabbed a bottle and gave it to Astra before turning back to the boy.

"Here, to help your throat." She said while handing the bottle over, the boy seem to hesitate before grabbing the bottle and quickly drinking the liquid down to nothing.

"Wow, he must have been thirsty..." Doro whispered to Astra, she nodded and stared as the boy screwed the cap back on and handed the empty bottle back,

"Thank you..." he whispered, Astra smiled and took the bottle,

"You're welcome....but why are you out here?"

"I was traveling when this heat wave hit, I tried finding a village but I couldn't. I soon ran out of water and decided to take a break in the shade....I guess I fell asleep...." he whispered. Astra nodded before getting up and passing the empty bottle to Doro,

"Do you want to travel with us? We are finding something someone lost before heading back to our village so do you want to join?" She asked, the boy seem to stare at Astra, hesitating. Astra noticed him struggling,

"We won't hurt you if that's what you're worried about. I'm Astra and the guy behind me is Doro." she said, the boy stared at Doro then Astra again before slowly nodding his head,

"Sure. I'll come along." he whispered, Astra smiled and helped the boy up before turning to Doro,

"Let's go, we have to get back quickly." she told him, Doro nodded before the three began to walk again.

The three walked in silence before someone finally broke it,

"Since me and Astra already introduced ourselves....may I ask who you are?"

The boy seem to jump at the sudden noise before looking down,

"I-I'm...Cay...."

"Well nice to meet you Cay." Astra said, Cay nodded,

"Same here, nice to meet you....also I like your metal arm. It's cool!" Doro said, Cay seem to grip his metal arm with his flesh arm before a small smile appeared on his face,

"Thank you...." he whispered, soon the conversation went to an end as they silently walked through the forest.

"Look!" Doro exclaimed, he picked up his speed. The other two shrugged and followed him, soon they stood in front of a brown teddy bear. It's left eye was a button as it's right was a threaded X. Astra bent down and picked the bear up,

"Let's head back." She said as she turned to the boys,

"Did you guys come all the way out here for a teddy bear!?" Cay asked,

"Yup!" Doro replied as they walked back. The branches of the trees hanged over their heads, unique birds perched themselves on the branches. Chirps filled the silence of the forest, the small patter of footsteps echoed after the chirps. The three walked in silence before a thud was heard, like dead weight hitting solid surface. Astra and Doro slowly turned to see Cay sprawled across the ground,

"CAY!" the two yelled, they ran and fell to their knees next to him. Doro places his hand to his neck,

"He's breathing...that's good...", Astra places her hand on Cay's forehead,

"He's heating up!"

"How!? He wasn't exposed to any type of cold."

"I don't know, but we have to get back!" Astra looked up and gave the bear to Doro,

"Take Midnight back to the girl, I'll get Cay to the guild."

"How!?"

"I have my ways! Now go!" Astra hissed, Doro nodded and got up. He summoned Midnight and climbed on before they bolted off. Astra got up and swayed her hand in a snowflake motion, a blue line followed her before it disappeared into white smoke. When the smoke faded it revealed Diana, Astra's snowy owl. Astra smiled,

"Diana, mount.", the owl hooted before her blue markings began to glow, the glowing increased it brightness before fading away to reveal a much larger version of Diana. Astra picked Cay up with some struggle and climbed onto Diana, she held onto the boy and the bird tightly,

"Fly!", Diana lifted her large white wings and with one push they sky rocketed into the air. Astra looked down at Cay, she placed her hand on his forehead before retracting her hand in shock,

'How can someone have a fever this high?!' She thought while looking down at Cay,

"Hang in there doofus." She whispered as Diana flew through the clouds and towards the village.

Doro held onto Midnights mane tightly,

"Hurry up girl..." he whispered, Midnight let out a neigh before speeding up. Doro leaned closer to Midnights body as she ran into the village,

"MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!" Doro yelled, citizens screamed and ran to the side, many questioning his actions and others cussing at the boy. Soon Doro spotted the little girls house,

"There!" he yelled while pointing at the building. The house was a common wooden house with a beautiful front garden. The garden was filled with plenty of lovely flowers and plants. It has many array of colours that manage to blend perfectly together. Midnight slowed to a stop in front of the house, Doro jumped off and ran to the front door. He raised his fist and knocked on the wooden door. The door soon squeaked open to reveal a women near her 40's, she wore a baby blue dress with black slippers,

"Hello, I'm here to return Ari's bear?", the women seem to perk up,

"You must be the nice people who offended to help us! I'm guessing you found the bear.", Doro nodded and passed the bear to the women,

"Thank you so much! If you ever need anything then come to us!" the women said with a warm smile, Doro smiled back,

"You're welcome and thank you, I have to get going now! See you." Doro said with a wave,

"Goodbye!" the women said before closing her door, Doro turned back and ran to Midnight, he was about to jump on when a shout stopped him,

"HEY! YOU!", Doro turned to see the villages warrior running up to him, when she reached him she glared at Doro.

"Excuse me but you can't have mounts in the village." She said,

"Oh I'm sorry, but I'm in a rush. Can I use my mount one last tim-"

"No you can not. If you don't put your mount back in the stables, I will personally take it away!" she hissed, Doro sighed and drew a crescent on Midnights side making her disappear into smoke.

"There."

"Thank you. Have a great day." the girl said before turning around and walking away. Doro stared at her as she left before looking down,

'Myu is across the village and it's rush hour in the village...yes even with the heat....how will I get there. I hope Cay is okay..........let's do this!' Doro thought. He looked up and scanned the area before spotting two houses close to each other. Doro smirked and ran over, he took a deep breath before running into the small alley way. He ran and pushed off one wall then jumped to the other, he continued pushing off the walls before he did one big final push and gripped onto the edge of the roof. He pulled himself up and took in a deep breath, he looked up and saw the line of houses. Doro hesitated as he looked at how high he was, he took a deep breath,

'For Cay...' he thought and with a smirk. Doro got up before running to the other side edge and jumping onto the next house roof. He continued running across the rooftops. The feeling of the tiles below his feet and the wind pressing against his body made him smile, 'Just like old times....' he thought before shaking his head and frowning. Soon he reached his destination in 5 minutes, he slid down a roof and rolled onto the ground, his adrenaline pumped. Dirt covered his clothing but he didn't care at the moment. Doro ran to Myu,

"Myu! Get me to my guild now! This is a emergency! Please and thank you!" Doro yelled and slid onto the blue circle,

"On it!" Myu yelled. A bright light blinded Doro before he appeared in the main lobby, his breathing was sharp as he looked around before spotting Astra and Cay on one of the more comfortable sofa's. Doro walked up to Astra, Cay was laying down on his back with a cloth soaked in cold water on his forehead.

"How is he?"

"His fever went down a little but not enough. I had Diana use 'Scanner' and by what she told me....he has a weird substance in his blood stream...she said that it's like poison."

"Poison?! How did he get that in his blood stream?"

"Probably injected into him somehow....Diana is still trying to see what the substance is, I'm going to go help her so look after Cay...okay?"

"Okay, hurry...." Doro said, Astra nodded before getting up and leaving. Doro turned back to Cay, he picked up the cloth on his forehead and dipped it in the bucket of cold water before placing on his head again. Doro leaned against the sofa,

"I know we just met but I'm worried, so you better wake up and give me an explanation to how you got this poison in you!" Doro whispered before closing his eyes and sighing.

"DORO!!!" Astra yelled as she ran back to the lobby with a handful of items,

"Dark El! The poison is Dark El!"

Doro's eyes snapped open as he shot up,

"Dark El!? But that impossible to find! Plus it's practically illegal!" he screeched,

"I know, I was wondering that too but right now we need to get that out of his system! I have almost all the necessary items to make a cure but I'm missing one thing."

"And that is!?"

"Vela. It's a rare flower but I last saw it at the Smith's garden."

"You mean the house who's daughter lost her bear?"

"Ya! I need you to get over there and ask for some Vela pollen."

"That across the village!"

"I know but you got across the village without your mount, since you're not allowed to use them in the village. Use the same way you got here, to get back! Now go!" Astra yelled, Doro nodded, got up and ran off,

"Only if she knew how I got here..." he mumbled to himself before disappearing.

Astra sighed, she grabbed the needed materials and began to mash them up in a bowl.

Doro slid down the roof and to the ground, he turned to see the Smith's house and booked it towards the door. He quickly knocked on the front door and waited for the door to open. Soon the front door squeaked open to reveal Mr. Smith, his face brightened to see Doro,

"Ah! Doro! Nice to see you! I can't thank you enough for getting my little girls teddy back. But what makes you stop by?"

"Well you see, one of my friends are really sick and we are making a cure but we don't have any Vela but you guys so happen to grow the rare plant.....what I'm saying is....can I have some Vela?" Doro asked, his eyes shimmered with hope as he waited for a reply. Mr. Smith smiled,

"Of course you can! It's the least I can do for you! Wait here." and with that, Mr. Smith turned around and left to get the Vela. Doro fisted pumped the air in victory, he leaned against the wall as he waited,

'I wonder what poisoned Cay like that? With Dark El too! Thankfully it's nothing deadly but I've never seen someone have such a high fever. I swear I can fry eggs on Cay's forehead with his heat.... I hope this works though...' he thought before the door squeaked open again. Doro pushes himself off the wall,

"Here you go! Some Vela and Vela seeds so you can grow your own!"

"Thank you so much! You don't know how helpful this is!"

"Anytime! Now go help your friend.", Doro nodded and ran off with a goodbye. He jumped from wall to wall again with the bag tightly gripped in his hand before running back.

Doro appeared in the guild and bolted towards the two people in the lobby. When he neared Doro noticed that Cay had gotten much worse from when he left,

"Here."

Astra seemed to jump at the voice of Doro, she looked up and sighed in relief,

"Thank the lords you got it. And just in time, thank you." She said as she reached into the bag and pulled out a white flower which was decorated with red dots. She placed two into the bowl and mashed them up, after that she poured the mashed up planted into some water and stirred. The water soon turned a milky green colour, she picked up the glass and stood up.

Astra tilted Cay's head upwards,

"Here, drink this. It'll help you....it might be bitter though." she whispered to the sick boy. Cay weakly opened his eyes and stared at the drink before slightly opening his mouth. Astra slowly poured the liquid into his mouth, Cay's face changed from the bitterness of the drink but continued to drink it. Soon the glass was empty as Astra lowered Cay's head on to the pillow as he drifted back to sleep,

"When will he get better?" Doro asked,

"2-3 hours....so till then...we wait."

A groan was heard from the couch catching both Doro and Astra's attention. The two sprang up from their seats and rushed to Cay's side, his eyes fluttered open to reveal his beautiful light orange eyes,

"Cay! Your okay!" Doro exclaimed, Astra chuckled as she placed her hand on Cay's forehead,

"Yup! His temperature is back to normal." She said while retracting her hand,

"That's good." Doro whispered, Cay slowly sat up with the help of Astra as the two sat on either side of Cay. The boy groaned and rubbed his throbbing head,

"W-What happened?" he whispered,

"You were poisoned by something or someone. I'm guessing that you were injected in a way."

"Poisoned!?"

"Yes, by any chance have you been hit by anything?"

"Ya-a....two days ago I-I was fighting t-this monster and i-it shot this thorn like t-thing at me. It h-hit me in the arm but I-I didn't expect an-nything from it since I-I didn't feel anything..."

"Must be a long term kick in rate..." Doro mumbled, Astra hummed in agreement,

"But never has a monster we know of possess Dark El..."

"Dark El!?"

"Yes, that's what you were poisoned with...Cay.... thankfully is was a small amount so all it did was give you a extremely high fever. Have you ever seen this monster before?"

"No, to be honest...it's my first time ever seeing a creature that was like it."

"Then where did it come from?" Doro asked,

"Somewhere....and where ever it is. We need to find it and shut it down before anyone else gets hurt." Astra exclaimed,

"Ya!" Doro yelled, Cay chuckled and smiled,

"Thank you....by the way. For helping me even though we just met..."

"You're welcome." The two said with a smile,

"Surprising that the cure worked so fast!"

"Well you didn't have a lot of the poison in your bloodstream and I think the poison heals with no after effects which is good!"

"Ya.....hey, you're both in a guild...correct?"

"Yes! FriendlyFire."

"Ah! The guild that had a war. Heard the other guild disbanded from lack of members...are you guys...-"

"Yes, our guild is dying but we are hoping we can save it before the professionals come to shut this guild down."

"Well then, I'll help! I would like to join your guild."

"Really!? Thank you! Come with me to my office to do the interview that's required." Astra said, Cay nodded and followed Astra to her office. Doro smiled as he watched the two walk off, seeing Astra smile made his day a lot better. He hoped with all his heart that this guild will be saved....for the guilds sake and Astra's sake.

Cay gasped when he entered Astra's office. Her office was a stunning place, the walls were way smoother than the walls outside. Green vines seem to wrap around her office, the vines swam around a lovely picture of Astra with a snowy owl on her head and a man next to her, they both were smiling. The vines passed by a old wooden bookshelf that was filled to the brim with book about magic, spells, skills, stones, monsters, guilds, history, levelling up, and much more. The vines soon dipped and crawled across the floor, which has a beautiful red carpet on it, and stopped next to her wooden desk. The desk was a classic office desk with a cup filled with pens and pencils, papers and a picture of the same man on the huge picture hanging above the entrance. Astra sat down in her black leather chair as Cay took a seat in his chair. She pulled out the needed paper and a pen,

"I'm going to ask you some simple questions....okay?"

"Alright!"

"Last name?"

"It's De..."

"Okay."

"Date of birth?"

"June 9th 2002"

Astra nodded, she wrote down the reply as she did the math in her head,

"So you're 17?"

"Yup!"

"Weapon?"

"My Nasod arm and blade."

"Do you know anyone inside the guild?"

"Yes, you and Doro...."

"Okay, that was stupid of me to ask but I had too."

"It's all good!"

"What moves have you unlocked so far?"

"Welp, I've unlocked Shockwave, Finishing Slash, Berserker Blade, Etc"

"Okay, do you have any pets?"

"Yes, I have a lion chilling in the pens."

"What's his or her name?"

"He's a male and his name is Zwei."

"Does Zwei have any abilities or is he just a mount?"

"He has abilities."

"Such as?"

"Fire Crunch, Detect and Track"

"New question but what level are you?"

"25!"

"Okay, do you have a SS?"

"Yes."

"When did you earn this SS?"

"Like 3 ish weeks ago."

"Okay, that's all! And you made it into the guild! Here is your guild pass and contract, sign the contract and give the guild pass to Myu. Give the contract to me and you will get your room key, in your room will be a pill. Eat the pill as it will give off a aura that you are from the guild 'FriendlyFire', thank you again for joining our guild!" Astra said with a small jumped before sliding the contract and pass to Cay.

Cay smiled,

"May I sign the contract now and then head to Myu?"

"Of course!"

Cay nodded, he grabbed a black pen and wrote his name, date and signature before handing it back to Astra. Astra took the paper,

"Head to Myu and when you come back Doro will take you to your room."

"Okay." Cay said before saying goodbye to Astra and leaving the guild. He appeared in front of Camilla who jumped at the sudden figure appearing in front of her,

"I really need to get use to this..." she mumbled, Cay chuckled and walked over to Myu. When the pick haired women spotted Cay she rushed over,

"How are you sweetheart? Astra came running to me with you in her arms, I've never seen her so worried...I usually don't let outsiders into guild bases but this seemed urgent. What happened? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine miss. I was poisoned while fighting a monster two days ago and the poison didn't take effect till now....I guess I was lucky to be with Astra and Doro then."

"You are very lucky! Those two are wonderful, hearts of gold I tell you! I'm glad your doing fine. Those nasty creatures keep hurting people, the village is still working on a health centre but you're lucky that Astra knew some cures."

"Very lucky."

"Well, I never seen you around nor have I gotten your name?"

"I'm not from here. My names Cay, I'm from Bethma village and traveled all the way here. I haven't really thought about a guild till a day ago. But now I have these amazing friends and an amazing guild so here is my pass." Cay exclaimed as he gave Myu the pass. Myu smiled and placed the pass on the pedestal,

"I'm glad you joined 'FriendlyFire'. It's a wonderful guild and you fit right in it." Myu said,

"You're free to enter your new guild."

"Thank you." Cay said before stepped into the blue circle and appearing in the guild base.

"Cay!", said boy turned to see Doro walking up to him,

"Hey there Doro. Just gave Myu my guild pass."

"That's great! Here's your room key, room 17! I'll take you there." Doro said, Cay nodded and thanked Doro as the two left to the room.

The three sat in the lobby talking about the monster that poisoned Cay.

"Cay, do you remember where you fought the monster?"

"Ya, somewhere near Ruben village."

"Then I guess we are heading to Ruben village!" Doro yelled, Astra nodded and stood up,

"Pack up boys. We're going on a trip!"
