Jin ah pov:

I woke up to the soft glow of morning light filtering through the heavy drapes. The mansion was eerily quiet, a stark contrast to the tumult of my thoughts. I glanced at the alarm clock on the nightstand. It read 7 a.m.

Slowly, I pushed myself out of bed and headed to the bathroom. The cold water splashed on my face, waking me up from the haze of sleep. After a quick shower, I wrapped myself in a towel and stepped back into the bedroom. There, on the bed, was a neatly arranged outfit. Taehyung’s doing, no doubt.

I dressed mechanically, my mind drifting as I buttoned up the blouse and smoothed down the skirt. Standing in front of the mirror, I took in my reflection. My eyes were still tired, my expression distant. The events of the past days weighed heavily on me, but I knew I had to keep moving forward.

I applied minimal makeup, just enough to look presentable. Grabbing my bag, I checked for my phone and keys before heading out of the room. On a whim, I decided to check on Niki. I walked down the hall to his room and quietly opened the door.He was still asleep, his small frame curled under the blankets. A pang of sadness hit me, but I pushed it aside.

I closed the door softly and looked around for any sign of Taehyung. He was nowhere to be seen. For a moment, I considered looking for him, but then decided against it. I had enough on my mind without adding more complications.

Making my way downstairs, the mansion felt empty and silent. Once outside, the cool morning air brushed against my skin. It was a familiar sensation, grounding me in the present moment. I got into my car and started the engine, the sound echoing in the quiet surroundings.

Driving to Park Corporation, I navigated the familiar streets with a sense of detachment. The city buzzed with life around me, yet I felt removed from it all. Arriving at the office building, I parked and took a moment to gather myself.

Straightening my clothes and smoothing down my hair, I took a deep breath. Today, I would focus on work. It was the only thing that seemed to make sense amidst the chaos of my emotions. With determination, I walked into the building, ready to face the day ahead at Park Corporation.

As I entered Park Corporation, the familiar atmosphere of the office surrounded me. The sleek, modern design and the steady hum of productivity were comforting in their predictability. I took a deep breath, straightening my posture, and headed towards the executive suite.

"Good morning, Jin-ah," a colleague greeted me as I passed by. I managed a polite smile in return.

"Morning," I replied, my voice steady. I continued down the hallway, my heels clicking against the polished floor.

I reached the executive office and knocked lightly before entering. My boss, Mr. Park, was already seated behind his desk, glancing through some documents.

"Good morning, Mr. Park," I said, placing his schedule and the necessary files on his desk. "Here's your agenda for today."

"Good morning, Jin-ah," he responded, looking up with a nod. "Anything urgent?"

"Just the usual meetings and a review of the new project proposals," I replied, taking a seat opposite him. "And you have a call with the overseas partners at 11."

He nodded, scanning the schedule briefly. "Alright. By the way, Jin-ah, did you manage to finalize the report on last quarter's sales figures?"

"Yes, I've compiled all the data and it's ready for your review," I answered promptly, handing over the thick dossier.

"Good work," Mr. Park acknowledged, flipping through the pages. "Let's discuss this after the call with our partners."

As we delved into the details of the upcoming meetings and strategic discussions, the morning passed swiftly. The office buzzed with activity, phones ringing and colleagues bustling in and out.

Around midday, just before my lunch break, my phone buzzed with a message from Taehyung: "Meet me at the café around the corner in 15 minutes."

I frowned, typing back quickly: "Why?"

His response was immediate: "Just come as I said."

Sighing, I closed my phone and finished up my tasks before heading out. I didn't bother responding further. It seemed like he was determined, and I wasn't in the mood for another argument.

The cool air outside was a refreshing change from the controlled climate of the office.

The nearby café was a quaint spot with outdoor seating, perfect for a quick lunch meeting. I arrived a few minutes early, found a secluded table, and settled in to wait for Taehyung.

Minutes passed, and he was nowhere to be seen. My irritation grew as I glanced around, checking the time repeatedly.

"Typical," I muttered under my breath, tapping my fingers on the table.
nally, I saw him approaching, looking calm and composed. He took a seat opposite me without a word, his gaze steady.

"What was so important that you couldn't say over the phone?" I asked, trying to keep my tone neutral.

He leaned back slightly, studying me. "I wanted to talk in person."

I raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to continue. Instead, he reached into his bag and pulled out some papers, placing them in front of me.

"What is this?" I asked, my eyes narrowing.

"Read it," he replied coolly.

I hated his commanding tone. I pushed the papers back toward him. "Tell me what it is. I'm not here for your games, Taehyung."

He smirked, clearly enjoying this. "Park Corporation is now under my control."

I stared at him, processing his words. The weight of his statement sank in, and I felt a mix of anger and disbelief. "What do you mean it's under your control?" I demanded.

He leaned forward, his smirk growing. "Exactly what it sounds like, Jin-ah. I've acquired Park Corporation. You're working for me now."
