My Hero

Frank opened the door. A hurried knock emmiting from the other side. He didn't bother to check who it was, if anyone tried to mess with him he could easily deal with them. But he wasn't expecting him to show up.

As Frank pulled the door open, he saw a face of which he never attached to pleasent memories. Stepping back a little, he went to close the door before he was stopped.

"Please." The man begged. "I didn't know where else to go."

Frank only just noticed that the man was covered in blood, fear shivering in the man's hazel eyes, and hunt he'd over in posture. As though he was covering a wound. Which, by Frank's theory was true.

"Too bad. Go away." Frank snapped.

"I don't know anyone else I can trust." the man croaked out.

Immediately afterwards, the man collapsed forward. Frank's body surging in the direction in order to catch the man.

"Well isn't this ironic?" Frank muttered to himself. "The villain having to save the hero."

He picked up the man bridal style, slamming the door closed with his foot after he had turned around. What was he supposed to do?

Frank carefully placed the taller man on his sofa. Lifting his shirt up. He was cut up pretty badly. By Frank's guess, it was a machete. They weren't as deep as they seemed, Frank deduced by prodding the wound.

After he had patched the hero up, he went to the kitchen. Making coffee. He didn't know how long the unconscious man on his sofa would be out for and he didn't want to miss him waking up. Tip toeing into the living room again, he sat on an opposing seat.

Letting the low rumble of the TV play in the background. Half paying attention to the news.

XxX

A few hours later, Frank began drifting off. Before he heard a cough and a groan. Standing up quickly, he rushed over to the side of the hero. Adjusting his pillow to make him comfortable. The tall man's eyes fluttered open lightly, looking up in confusion before recognising the other man.

Sitting up suddenly, he groaned in pain. Making Frank guide him back down into a lying position.

"What happened?" Frank demanded.

"Where am I?"

"At my house. I don't know how you got here or why so tell me."

Another groan emmited from the hero. Making the villain soften slightly.

"Listen, if I was gonna hurt you, would have already happened. Right now I'm only mildly pissed off and I'm not sure it's directed at you. So do you want to tell me who did this?" Frank said softly.

The hero visuably relaxed slightly. Closing his eyes for a second before looking back at the smaller man.

Frank didn't know how to talk to people. He didn't like talking to people. Not often caring what the other had to say. Except for now.

He wanted to know who did this to his hero. He wanted to punish that person.

"It was some random robbery. Well I thought it was, these people came out of nowhere and they all had massive machetes. I took down all of them I think. But one of them got away after they stabbed me." the Hero said.

"Did you see there faces?" Frank pressed.

"Not very well but yeah, if I saw them again I would know."

Frank muttered to himself. Hushed curses flying from his lips. He leant down over the hero carefully. Face to face with the taller man, he wanted to comfort him.

Frank had no idea what normal people did in ways of comfort. He had never experienced it. Nor witnessed it. He had only heard of it.

So while he was leaned over the hero, one leg on the couch, the other in the air for balence. Both hands were either side of the hero's face. He made a promise.

"I'll kill them." Frank whispered.

"Don't."

"They hurt you. They deserve it."

"You hurt me all the time."

"Yes and you hurt me back. Its fair. But I'm going to kill them for even thinking about hurting you."

"How do you know that I didn't hurt them first?"

"You don't make the first move." Frank smirked. "I don't think you know how. Must be hard to find a girl."

"I'm amazing at making the first move, dickwad. Also, I like boys."

"Congratulations so do I." Frank smiled back. "You have never made a first move in you're life."

"Try me."

"Okay." Frank smirked.

Frank leant down quickly, capturing the hero's lips with his own. The faint taste of coffee and cigarettes lingering. The hero pushed at the Villains chest after a moment of kissing. Frank pulled away, smirking at the hero under him.

"I made the first move there, My hero." Frank whispered.

"Fuck you. Get off me." the hero blushed.

Frank complied, Crawling off the hero and helping him up into a sitting position without great ease. The hero thanked him softly.

"Also, what the fuck?"

"What?" Frank replied.

"Who are you?"

"Wouldn't you like to know hero. Who are you?"

"Tell me your name first."

"Why should I?"

"You kissed me, without taking me on a date first, so I should at least get your name."

"Maybe my number too if you're lucky." Frank sarcastically spat.

"Well obviously. Now seriously. Mine - my name is Gerard."

"I'm Frank. Gerard, that's a peculiar name. I like it."

"Thanks. I guess. I should probably leave now." Gerard whispered.

"Do you wanna have a coffee first?" Frank questioned.

Gerard nodded, Frank standing emotionlessly and making his way to the kitchen. A few minuets later he returned with coffee for him and the hero he had aquantenced.

"This is really fucking weird." The hero said.

"Agreed." Frank whispered.

"Listen, I have no idea how I found this place and I honestly have no idea where I am and how to get home."

"Well that sucks. Listen, gorgeous, I can drive you wherever you need to go. And I will, no arguments."

"Then you'll know where I live."

"Then I can protect you from them loonies that hurt you."

"You're crazy Frank." Gerard mumbled.

"Thank you." Frank responded.

Somehow, though gerard thought it was a good idea. Well he believed it was good and bad. Good because then maybe he could convert Frank to do good. But bad because then he would be known as being friends with a villain.

"I hurt people because I think it's right. I don't like to."

"You know that makes no sense."

"Well how many people have i hurt or killed that doesn't have a criminal record."

"I don't have a criminal record and you hurt me."

"Because you protect those idiots." Frank yelled. "I'm just trying to get rid of the ones who hurt others. It's never random."

"It looks it." Gerard said. "So many people have a criminal record in this day and age."

"Yes but have you checked how recent the dates are. Or how severe the crime is."

Gerard shrugged, taking the last gulp of his coffee before standing up wobbly. The villain was by his side in an instant.

"Don't want you to get hurt gorgeous." Frank said.

"You're being weird."

"Gerard I promise you that I will never hurt you again"

"What? Why?"

"Because seeing you hurt now made me angry, I don't like to see you like this. You looked so vulnerable. I couldn't stand it."

Frank stepped closer to the hero during his rant. Leaning up and placing a hand on the taller man's cheek. Gerard brushed it away with a furrowed brow of confusion.

"You're my hero. No one else can have you. I want you." Frank growled. "I want to protect you. Let me protect you."

Gerard stepped back in confusion. Making the smaller man step forwards. This was repeated until Gerard was pressed against the wall.

"No. You don't get to change your mind. You don't get to protect me after so many times that you have hurt me. I'm not your hero. You don't own me."

"I don't want to own you. Listen, I want to get the bad people." Frank said. "You save the bad people. We don't have to fight you just have to understand. Please."

"I do, but you do realise that you're the bad guy. You have your own part in this."

Frank looked up, hurt in his eyes. Gerard almost felt sorry for him. Almost. He knew Frank as the bad guy, he did things without reason killed people that have done bad things aswell but many from years ago.

"Maybe I don't want to be the bad guy." Frank insinuated. "I tried to do the right thing. But I did it wrong, I guess?"

"Of course you fucking got it wrong. You don't kill innocent people because they have a DUI." Gerard shouted.

"I never have." Frank looked up confused.

"You have the one person that had no record apart from that. They was the worst murder I've seen. Horrific."

"Who was it?"

"his first name is similar to yours. Franklin Iero."

Frank pushed himself as far away from Gerard as possible. Stumbling backwards, his arms above his head. Shaking his head, Gerard heard a loud sob. The villain curled into himself, now having reached a corner. Attempting to hide himself.

The hero stepped closer. Scaring the smaller boy and making him cry out.

"Maybe I should go?" Gerard whispered.

Frank didn't respond. Crying out in fear and letting out harsh sobs. Gerard didnt know what was up with the smaller boy and he had no idea how to approach him. It has happened when he had said that name. Maybe it meant something to Frank.

Gerard backed out of the door, leaving the crying boy inside. He got less than halfway down the street before realising his mistake. Nobody should be left alone in that state.

Gerard ran back to the house. Surprisingly, the door was open. Letting himself in, he called out lightly for the other man. He wasn't in the same place as before.

When he heard a pained cry from above him, Gerard ran to the stairs. Practically flying up them. He made his way to where the noise had originated. Seeing Frank in a puddle of his own blood made him hate himself. Frank hadn't noticed the other man yet.

"Frank, are you okay?" Gerard softly asked.

"Go away." Frank croaked back.

"I'm not going anywhere." Gerard said.

"You just did, then you came back. You saw me. I do the wrong things. I hurt people, I hurt you. I can't anymore." Frank mumbled.

"You can't what?"

"Live."

"You can and you fucking will."

Gerard moved closer, scooping up the smaller boy. Lifting up, he carried him into a room which on first try happened to be the bathroom. Frank cried slightly, clinging onto Gerard.

"Leave me alone." He sobbed.

"No. Not again." Gerard whispered. "Never again."

Gerard got to work, cleaning up Frank's wounds. They weren't that deep, but still needed cleaning if they were going to stay uninfected.

Gerard then carried him back to Frank's bedroom. Pulling out a bag from the corner and going over to the draws.

"I already have an overnight bag ready."

"Why?"

"Im the bad guy remember. What if they find me?"

Gerard didn't reply, instead picking up the bag in which Frank pointed at. Looking inside and seeing a few pairs of clothing.

He slung it over his shoulder, picking up the smaller man and carrying him downstairs. Frank asked questions in a quiet voice but always answered the ones that Gerard asked him.

Soon enough, Gerard was in the driver seat of Frank's nice car. Frank in the passenger with his head against the cool glass.

"Where are we going or is this a kidnapping?" Frank questioned softly.

"I'm taking you back to mine for a few days."

Frank didn't say anything else, just breathed heavily and sniffed occasionally. When Gerard finally pulled up into his own home, he opened the door. Going over to Frank's side and picking him and his bags up. Closing and locking the door before he went inside his house.

He placed Frank on the couch, going into the kitchen to fix him a hot chocolate. Coming back in, he placed it infront of the sniffling boy before sitting next to him.

"Thank you." Frank whispered finally.

"No problem. Do you want to talk about it?" Gerard asked softly. "It's completely okay if you don't."

"He was my dad and he did... Bad things to me. Really bad things." Frank insinuated. "I don't want to say anymore. It's just hearing his name triggered something."

"It's okay. I didn't mean to I'm sorry."

"It's okay. You didn't know. I'm sorry."

"What for?"

"Everything."

Gerard looked at Frank hoping he would continue. Frank shrugged, moving closer to Gerard and cuddling into his side. Resting his head on the taller man's chest and listening to his heartbeat.

"I tried." Frank began. "I really did try to be good and help others. But I don't know how."

"How about I make you a deal?" Gerard replied. "If you promise not to hurt yourself again, then I will teach you how to be good."

"Fair deal." Frank said. "I'm in, if you let me cuddle into whenever. You are like the softest pillow."

Gerard giggled, nodding his head. He rubbed the Villains back, not knowing that the man was so affectionate. Sooner than later, Frank was asleep.
