Sweets (Rikey)

(My awesome friend came up with this idea, so thank youuuu!)

Ray rushed through the front door, slamming it shut as soon as he was inside the house. Mikey's head shot up from what he was doing, his glasses slid to the tip of his nose, a pencil tucked behind his ear. He grinned, jumping up to hug Ray. "Did you have to slam the door and scare the hell outta me?" He asked, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend's neck, smiling up at him.

Ray smiled back, untangling the pencil from Mikey's hair, setting it on the coffee table. "I'm sorry, but it's freezing out there, also why's it so dark outside?"

"Cause it's winter, it's seven right now." Mikey said, setting his glasses on top of his head, rubbing his eyes. "How was work? Also why're you home so late? You were supposed to be back two hours ago."

"Work was fine, and Frank and I were doing a project for our meeting on Monday." Ray said, seeing Mikey frown. "Baby, Jamia was there also. Do you want me to call her?"

"No, I just wanted to know..." Mikey replied, looking at the floor. Ray tilted his chin up so they could look each other in the eyes, kissing his lips softly.

"I'm never gonna cheat on you, Mikey, I've only got eyes for you." Ray said, resting his forehead against Mikey's, giving him a small smile.

"And I'm never gonna cheat on you either." Mikey said, kissing Ray again, practically melting into his boyfriend, feeling safe being held so close.

Once they broke away, Ray looked around the living room, frowning in thought. "Do you wanna do something together?" He asked, taking his coat and scarf off, tossing them onto the couch, smirking as he saw Mikey huff, picking the two items up, walking over to the coat closet.

"Of course I do." Mikey said in a 'duh' tone of voice, putting Ray's coat and scarf away for him. "Also here's a fun fact, there are these things called clothing hangers, and you can use them to put your clothes away. Isn't that crazy?"

Ray rolled his eyes. "Thank you, Mikey, I love you." He said, earning a wide smile from Mikey. "Now what do you want to do together?"

"Could we make Christmas cookies?" Mikey asked after a few seconds of silence. "I. Need. Sugar."

"Cool with me, I think we have stuff for that." Ray said, walking into the kitchen, opening a few of the cabinet doors, looking inside. "We also have stuff for hot chocolate, just wanted to let you know."

"What kind? I got five different ones when I went to the store." Mikey said, grabbing a carton of milk from the fridge, drinking it out of the container, then set it down on the counter.

"Five? Who needs five?"

"I need five, as soon as it gets cold, hot chocolate becomes my coffee, and you know how much I drink coffee."

"Oh trust me, I know." Ray said, getting a few of the boxes down, also grabbing the things to make cookies. "You make the hot chocolate, I'll start on getting this set up." Mikey nodded, grabbing a box of dark hot chocolate mix, putting two mugs of milk in the microwave, sitting on the counter while he waited.

"What kind are we making? Sugar?" Mikey asked, swinging his feet a little.

"Sugar we're goin' down swinging." Ray sang under his breath, looking back up at his boyfriend. "Yeah, those are easier to decorate, now are you gonna just watch me or you gonna help?"

Mikey sighed, slipping off of the counter, taking the mugs out of the microwave, pouring the mix in, then went to hunt down some marshmallows, but couldn't find them. He checked the cabinets, and also tried the refrigerator, not knowing where else to look. "Babe, where'd you put the marshmallows?" He asked, looking over at Ray.

"In my room." Ray replied, checking the directions on how to make cookies on his phone.

"Do I even wanna know?" Mikey asked, running upstairs, then paused. "AND YOU MEAN OUR ROOM!" He shouted, hurrying into their room, seeing the bag of marshmallows on Ray's desk. He shook his head, sighing, walking back to the kitchen.

"Mikey! Can you help me over here please?" Ray called over his shoulder, his boyfriend coming over almost instantly. "I don't know how to make these, and you're the best at cooking so..."

Mikey rolled his eyes. "You do to know how to make these, you just want an excuse so I'll do something."

Ray smiled, handing Mikey two bags of sugar and flour. "Okay so we need to do dry stuff, then wet stuff...that doesn't sound right, and then we put the dough in the fridge for a while till we can actually use it." He read of his phone. "What are we gonna do for that amount of time?"

"Watch a movie and cuddle, boom, problem solved." Mikey said, biting his bottom lip as he tried to measure everything correctly. He and Ray both began talking about what movie to watch, but the conversation was mostly lead by Ray since Mikey was trying his best to concentrate, but was getting distracted by his boyfriend asking him questions.

After a few minutes they got done, putting the cookie dough in the fridge. Mikey took a sip of his drink, smiling at Ray. "So, what do you wanna do now?" He asked, leaning against the counter's edge, his glasses falling back over his eyes.

"Watch some crappy Christmas movies?" Ray offered, walking into the living room, holding his own mug of hot chocolate. Mikey quickly followed, sitting down on Ray's lap, cuddling into him. "But this is fine too."

Mikey hummed happily, curling up in Ray's arms, gently kissing his lips and jaw, smiling as he did. "I just wanna cuddle with you..." he said, crawling on top of Ray's chest, setting his mug on the coffee table, straddling his hips a little. "I love you, Ray."

Ray smiled, sitting up a bit, taking Mikey's glasses off for him. "I love you too, Mikey."

When Ray woke back up, Mikey was in the kitchen decorating the cookies they had made. He got up, stretching a bit, walking to where his boyfriend was, frowning. "Why didn't you wake me up?" He asked, taking a cookie from the plate plus a spoonful of red icing.

"Cause you were asleep and you looked really cute." Mikey replied, smiling. His hair was a mess thanks to his boyfriend, each strand either matted or spiked up. His shirt was wrinkled also, but Ray's was the exact same, his hair also messed up also.

"Yeah but we're supposed to do this together." Ray said, dumping a bunch of sprinkles on top of the cookie he was decorating, setting it with the rest of the finished ones. "All of yours are so pretty..."

Mikey smiled, chewing on his bottom lip again as he tried to get a snowflake design perfected. "Just takes time, baby, but yours looks great." He said, grabbing the cookie Ray had finished, stuffing it in his mouth, getting icing all over his lips. He giggled a tiny bit, turning back to his work after shooting Ray a thumbs up.

Ray smiled, turning Mikey's face towards himself again. "You have stuff all over your mouth, sugar." He said, kissing him again. Mikey smiled also, kissing back before pulling away.

"There are like thirty other cookies, but you decide to take the icing and cookie from my own mouth, you weirdo." He muttered, smirking. "Here, have a whole one."

"Thanks, babe." Ray replied, checking the time. "Jeez it's ten already?"

"Yep, and that means we get to hang out even longer together and have a sugar high." Mikey said, giggling more. "I've already had five of these."

"Goodness, you're a sugar freak aren't you." Ray said, handing Mikey another cookie smothered in icing and sprinkles, encouraging his behavior a bit. "Just don't throw up okay?"

"I won't, don't worry." Mikey replied, resting his head on Ray's shoulder. "Thanks for spending time with me, I love you."

"Of course, it's my favorite thing to do, and I love you too."
