Katelyn's POV

I yawned and stretched, getting out of bed. It was going to be another long, dumb day. Ever since Y/N moved in, everyone's been extra... extra. Everyone has just gone to the extreme of their personality, and it's super annoying. I looked out the window, and my whole day turned around.

"It's snowing! It's snowing! Decoration day is here!" I ran down the stairs to find Aph and Kawaii~Chan dancing in the family room.

"Has anyone gotten Y/N up? The sooner she's up and moving the sooner we can start! I'll get her." I jumped the back of the couch and ran down the basement stairs.

"Y/N? Y/N get up!" I shook the ball of blankets on her bed, trying to wake her up.

"Rawr!" Someone jumped on me, roaring, and I just about had a heart- attack.

"Irene help me, if you do that again-" I spun around and found Y/N grinning behind me.

"What can I say? Rawr~" I couldn't stay mad at her, because it was Decoration Day, so I just smiled and dragged her upstairs.

"Katelyn? What's going on? You're happy today.." she gather her feet under her, and I let go so she could walk herself.

"It's Decoration Day, you dork! C'mon." By the time we were upstairs, KC and Aphmau had already brought some boxes down.

When we found out Y/N was moving in, we decided to divide all the Christmas decorations into all of our closets, to make room for her.

It had begun.

Y/N's POV
I heard someone coming down the stairs, so I crouched next to them, out of site. She didn't seem very mad at my prank, which was weird for her. I asked Katelyn what was going on, but she just said it was 'decoration day'. It sounded vaguely familiar; maybe Aphmau had mentioned it one time.

We got upstairs and found Kawaii~Chan and Aph standing surrounded by boxes, all labeled 'x-mas'. And then my brain revved up. Oh yeah! Aph told me that the first day of snow is dedicated to putting up Christmas decorations. I guess it snowed last night after I got home.

"Let's do this!" Aph hopped in a circle and opened a box. Pretty soon, it looked like Christmas had barfed all over the inside of our house.

"I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!~" Kawaii~Chan squealed. I grinned and realized how close I had grown to the girls, even though I only moved in a couple weeks ago. It made me happy to think that I finally belonged somewhere.

Aphmau POV

The inside of the house was looking festive, and it was time to move outside. We lugged 5 boxes of lights and 6 boxes of other things out onto the lawn.

"Katelyn, KC, you work together on the lights. Me and Y/N will spruce up the porch." We split up, and Katelyn didn't complain once about working with Kawaii~Chan. She sure likes Decoration Day.

I hung a big wreath on the door, with a huge red bow and sat down, exhausted. And then I saw Dante walk out of his house with a box in his arms.

"Oh no," I jumped up, and stormed over to him. "Dante, you march right back in there and put that box away. We're going to have the best house on Mystreet."

"Um, Aph? It's not a competition. We're just decorating for Christmas." He must have forgotten how I can be about decorating. So I found someone who would remember.

"Garroth!! Get out here!" I stomped and screamed, causing Dante to drop his box and cover his ears. Garroth came running out.

"Aphmau! Is everything okay? Are you hurt?!" He grabbed me and pulled me close, away from Dante.

"Garroth, Dante thinks Christmas decorating is for fun.." I seethed. I heard the girls coming over to see what was going on.

"Ooooh..." Garroth nodded. "Dante, I know you weren't as close to Aph in high school as I was, but she has this... problem. With decorating. She thinks if your house is the best on the street, you clearly love Christmas the most, and Santa will bring you extra presents." Garroth explained gently to Dante.

"What? Um, okay.. Well Aph, I'm not trying to fight you, I'm just trying to enjoy Christmas. It is Decoration Day, after all." Dante was obviously aware of the Decoration Law, and was trying to act all innocent. Everyone was buying it, but not me. I'm smarter than that.

"Fine Dante, its on! Me, KC, Katelyn and Y/N against you, Garroth, Travis and Laurance. Let the fight begin!" I sprinted to our house and started opening more boxes. "Hey, girls! Are you on my team or not? Stop flirting with the enemy!" The meandered over, taking their time. At this rate, they'll beat us for sure.

Garroth's POV

I gently lifted my grandmama's wreath out of a box, and hung it lovingly on the door. It might not have been the brightest shade of green anymore, but it was still filled with her love.

"Hey Garroth!" Aphmau called across the street. "What's that piece of trash doing on your door?" I turned around slowly.

"Dante, Laurance, she just insulted my grandmama's wreath! Step up your game, boys, we can't lose anymore!" I grabbed a strand of fairy lights and started wrapping them around the porch rails.

"Garroth, don't let her get to your head. You remember what happened that one year..." Laurance put his hand on my shoulder, but I shook it off. It was the point of no return, and we had to win.

"Cmon Laurance, let's do this."

I sat exhausted on the porch chair, and looked at the girls house. I would never admit it out loud, but their house was better. Aphmau sauntered up to me, red and green face paint smeared across her face.

"You're looking very festive, Aphmau." I smiled warmly (Hopefully). She didn't seem impressed.

"Garroth, I can see it in your dumb blue eyes. Just admit our house is superior." She put her hands on her hips.

It hurt a little that she called my eyes dumb, but I knew she was in a craze. She didn't mean it.. right? "I dunno, ours is pretty nice too." She scowled at me, and I put my hands up in surrender. I love Aph, but she can be vicious sometimes. "Okay! Yours is better!" She smiled and leaned back onto her heels.

"More presents for Aphmau.." she trailed off. She was talking in third person, so I knew she was long gone.

Y/N's POV

We all went to Garroth's place after we decorated to give Aph some space. After she talked to Garroth, she sprinted inside and crashed on the couch.

"So how much longer do you think it will keep snowing?" Garroth, Laurance, Dante, KC, Katelyn and I sat around the living room, drinking hot chocolate.

"It's only been little flurries so far, so I can't imagine it's going to get any worse." Katelyn said, sipping from her mug.

I shivered. I tended to get cold easily; doctors say it's genetic. "I hope it stops soon, otherwise I'll freeze!" I felt someone touch my arm. I turned and found Laurance in my face.

"I'll keep you warm, Y/N." He started to move closer and put his arms around me. It was very awkward, but it was warm, so I didn't say anything. Thankfully, Katelyn was there and she had no problem telling Laurance what was on her mind.

"Laurance, if you don't move away from Y/N, I'll move for you.." she set down her mug and raised her fists. He lifted his hands and backed off in surrender. He then started to say something, when KC screamed at the top of her lungs. I tried to cover my ears, but I had my mug, so all I could do was grimace.

Once she stopped, Katelyn grabbed her by the shoulders. "Kawaii~Chan, you are leaving. Now." Katelyn growled and Kawaii~Chan knew she was in trouble. She sulked out with her ears flat against her head.

Dante went and closed the door behind her, and turned back to Katelyn. "What was that? It almost sounded like a fan-" Katelyn pushed him over, cutting him off. "Hey! What was that for?"

"Y/N doesn't know yet, don't say anything!" She hissed. I had a feeling I wasn't supposed to hear that, so I took advantage of the information.

"What do you mean, Katelyn?" I raised an eyebrow and smirked, as she clenched and I clenched her fists.

"Nothing you need to worry about, Y/N" She let out a breath a picked up her hot chocolate.

"Actually, I heard my name, so I think it pertains to me." I stood up straight and grinned.

"Ugh, you're not going to stop, are
you?" She saw my expression, and sighed. "You're going to regret this."

"Kawaii~Chan has a habit of shipping. Everyone. She ships all of us still, but you're kinda fresh meat, I guess. It's awkward and weird, but we try to ignore it and move on."

I blushed, avoiding Laurance's gaze as I realized what she fangirled about earlier. "I- I need some time. Excuse me." Katelyn nodded, understanding, as I slipped out. The whole 'shipping' thing wasn't new to me, but the fact she was shipping me with people I still didn't know very well, and that they were all cool about it.. I needed some time to meditate.
