    ▬▬ALRIGHT, let's do this one last time.

Her name is May Louise Parker. She wasn't bitten by a radioactive spider when she was fifteen years old. Her story, in fact, starts a little bit differently than others. It starts with the day Peter Parker's life changed. She is pretty sure you know how that story went. For over fifteen years, Peter Parker had been New York's one, and only, Spider-Man. He had saved the world more than once, and then more yet again. He had fought Green Goblins, insane Doc Ocks, vicious Sandmen, and even joined ranks with the mighty Avengers when drastic measures called for it. And no matter what▬no matter how many hits he received, how many times he fell down, the Amazing Spider-Man always got back up.

The Amazing Spider-Man, Peter Parker, was also her father.

Nowadays, Peter Parker is retired. Not many superheroes got to see their days into retirement, but the Amazing Spider-Man did. May Louise is pretty sure you know the story there, too. He met a girl, they fell in love, got married, had kids ... except, those kids weren't exactly normal.

May Louise Parker was born with the powers that radioactive spider had given her father all those years ago. When most children played with their stuffed toys on their carpet floor, she crawled up the walls with hers whenever her mother told her it was bedtime. She was the daughter of a superhero, but unlike those kids in that Disney movie, she never got to go to school to learn how to be a superhero. For most of her life, Peter and Nina Parker did everything in their power to make sure May Louise had the most normal life she ever could wish for.

The world was filled with superheroes now, New York didn't need another Spider-Man anymore.

But that never stopped May Louise Parker anyway.

So, this is how the story goes. Her name is May Louise Parker. When she was fifteen years old, she put on the mask herself and became New York's one, and only, Spider-Girl. The story from then onwards?

Well, that would be spoilers, now, wouldn't it?

i do not own spider-man; peter parker, miles morales or any other characters associated with the comics or sony's spider-man: into the spider-verse's animated series. i do not own the inspiration from mayday parker or spider-girl which helped me build may louise parker's character, but i do own may louise's personality etc. i also own nina hart/parker and grace avery/parker. so, if you steal any one of them i will hunt you down.

this book is part of my 'spider-verse' which includes this book, nina's main series 'deja vu' and the spin off 'getaway car' which is based in insomniac's marvel's spider-man. if you haven't checked either of those books out, it is not required to read them, but i would love if you do, because i treasure both of those books, and you'll get to fall in love with nina as the rest of us have (and nina and peter).

nina hart is in this series, and if you haven't read those books, you'll probably be confused as to why she takes mary jane watson's place as peter parker's common love interest. but basically, in this spider-verse, nina is the common love interest for peter parker. grace avery is another love interest for peter parker in some universes who is also an oc of mine. so, don't question, just accept that in this book series, that is the lore ig <3.

spider-girl is such a ... eh name but it's also like the name mayday parker takes on, so i thought i'd reference that. it's also like, may louise is taking on the mantle from her father, and so it makes sense for her to keep to the same theme so people recognise her. but it's just what the public also came up with and call her in the book so, haha, let's laugh at it, but it also works cos y'know, marvel comics are just like that.

(did you guys see my trash cover? i tried to do a comic thing, but like, i- eh. the quality got ruined. also i can't do aesthetic mood boards but i tried).

I chose no faceclaims because a) this is an animated movie series and so it not only fits the aesthetic of the animation style, but it also is easier and b) i like the idea of miles being faceless because istg everyone always fancasts him while completely forgetting that his mother is Puerto Rican. by making him faceless, i am not forgetting or ignoring any aspect of his character. 

that being said, of course, i am as fukin pasty white as you can get and i also haven't read many miles comics, my knowledge is based mostly off what i have seen on games/tv. i will most likely be writing miles povs because it helps fill in plot points/gaps may louise isn't in so if i do get any aspect of miles's character wrong, it is completely unintentional and so feel free to kindly correct me in the comments, i will acknowledge and amend mistakes <3.

anyway, i hope you guys enjoy this book! 

btw i imagine may louise parker's universe to have a very vibrant, energetic colour/style to it that reflects her fresh origins as being a spider-person, but also her personality (she's a lot like her father lol). i just wanted you guys to know that when reading.
