Clichés and Other Nonsense

To be honest,

I have no love for clichés

Or management speak.

I prefer to be a revolutionary,

Push the envelope,

Leaving myself

With a blue sky scenario.

It is incumbent upon us

To be original,

Not to run with the crowd.

At the end of the day

We must be

Our own man,

Or,

To be politically correct,

Our own person. (No sexism from me!)

In the final analysis:

When searching for the right words,

We should always,

Pick from the low hanging fruit first.

The old ones are the best,

And I am certainly old.

Got to go now,

Life is short,

And my to do list grows

As we speak.
