Daisuke gasped out loud as Cloud pushed him into a dusty house. He coughed and covered his mouth as they walked in.

"Go all the way to the back, my precious angel." Cloud hummed as Daisuke rolled his eyes.

He wasn't sure why Cloud kept the nickname for him, but it got on his nerves. Daisuke didn't think he was a precious angel because he felt he was the opposite. Cloud tainted his blood with vampire blood years ago while trying to turn him, but it hadn't worked. Daisuke wanted to know why it didn't work, but Billy had given him no answers. Maybe Cloud knew why it didn't work now instead of being in the dark with him.

"Something on your mind, angel?" Cloud asked Daisuke as they made it to a set of metal doors.

"No..." Daisuke lied. Cloud chuckled, then stepped in front of Daisuke to open the metal doors. Inside was a bright room with a long dark wood dining table in the middle. It had food spread out on it like they had been waiting for Daisuke to come on his own, but it hadn't happened.

A wrought iron chandelier hung from the ceiling with low light as Rirre went to sit down. "Please have a seat, my angel," Cloud told Daisuke as he held the door open for him.

Daisuke swallowed the uneasiness he kept feeling as he walked over to the chair with a plate of food in front of it. Daisuke glanced up and saw Cloud close the doors, then felt Cloud behind him. He looked behind him then saw Cloud pull his chair out for him. "Thanks..." Daisuke mumbled and sat down so Cloud could push in his chair.

"My pleasure," Cloud said as he sat down at the head of the table.

Rirre was sitting with his elbows on the table and had his face in his hands. He was staring up at the chandelier like he was admiring it, but Daisuke could be wrong. Either way, the silence stretched between them, then Cloud cleared his throat.

"I wanted to speak to you about something, Daisuke." Cloud began, and Daisuke looked up.

He was sure that was one of the only times that Cloud has used his name. Daisuke's name was only said by Cloud when the situation was difficult, and the last time he used it was when their parents died. Well, when Cloud killed them.

Rirre scoffed. "You're going to give him a choice? You know he is going to say no, Cloud." Rirre scowled, and Cloud waved Rirre off. Rirre rolled his eyes then looked away.

Daisuke glanced at Rirre, who was grumbling to himself, and he wanted to say something to him, but Cloud repeated his name. "Daisuke..." Cloud mumbled, and Daisuke looked at him. "I have a proposition for you," Cloud said, and Daisuke saw him fidget.

This situation wasn't like Cloud because Daisuke knew him as a badass. He knew Cloud was brave and an asshole. Everything happening right now seemed not to be happening, but Daisuke knew better. Rirre was pissed off, and Cloud seemed desperate. Daisuke wasn't sure why he was desperate, but if calling Daisuke by his real name and not angel seemed hopeless, then Daisuke knew why his red flags were flying up.

"What would that be?" Daisuke asked as he kept eye contact with Cloud. He was glad glamour didn't work on him because if it had, then this whole situation would probably be him agreeing no matter what. This exact situation is the only time he is ever grateful he isn't human.

Cloud took a deep breath then smiled at Daisuke. "I want to turn you into a vampire. I finally know how but you need to agree because if you don't then, it won't work." Cloud told him, and Rirre scoffed again. "Don't look at him, please. Just keep giving me your full attention." Daisuke heard Cloud as he was about to look at Rirre.

"He won't agree, Cloud. He's an angel, not a fucking idiot." Rirre reminded his brother.

Daisuke saw the desperation in Cloud's eyes, but Rirre was right. He wasn't going to agree to something like that. Not willingly, at least.

"No..."

Daisuke could see and feel Cloud's world collapse. He didn't like it, but it looked like Cloud's heart broke. Daisuke didn't like the feeling, but he wasn't going to turn himself into a vampire just for someone else. He was finally happy with himself, and Cloud wants him to change himself? His answer would be no, and Daisuke was sure Cloud knew that, but he asked anyway.

"Daisuke..." Cloud muttered.

"No. You already knew my answer when you thought about asking me first!" Daisuke yelled and stood up so fast that the chair fell backward. "You traumatized me when I was younger by biting me! What gives you the audacity to even ask me to become a vampire just for the two of you?!" Daisuke hissed, and Cloud sighed.

"Have I ever told you what you smell like, Daisuke?" Cloud asked, and Daisuke frowned.

"No... But that's fucking weird." Daisuke hissed as he slammed his hands onto the table.

"You smell like heaven." Rirre cut in, and Cloud looked down. "Or what we presume it would smell like to us." Rirre elaborated. He then stood up and glared at Daisuke. "If the prophecy is correct, then you won't survive the upcoming war. Angels that are real angels plan to come down to earth and eliminate half angels like you, along with Billy." Rirre hissed. "Just ask Billy! He knows all about it!" Rirre growled.

Cloud then stood up as he looked at Daisuke, who was staring hard at the table. He didn't know what he was thinking, but he could feel his angel was unsure. "You don't have to give your answer now. But know that your Snow is in danger too." Cloud said, and Daisuke's head snapped up to make eye contact with him. "Snow is the last of her kind, and she is in danger. The darkness in her could overwhelm her to take over to the point where angels will come down and kill her with their light." Cloud warned, and Daisuke frowned.

"We both don't know why you're drawn to her. You should want to kill her, actually, but you're in love with her." Rirre cut in again as he had sat back down. "You're unnatural in the eyes of angels, and they don't like you," Rirre added. "But if they come down to earth, then we all are in danger, Daisuke. All creatures on this planet won't be safe." Rirre hissed.

Daisuke looked back down, then back up. "I need to find Snow first. If what you're saying is, in fact, true, then I need to find her to protect her." Daisuke said. "I'll think about what you said, but I make no promises," Daisuke told them.

Cloud nodded to that as he sat back down. "You can leave then..." Cloud grumbled, and he leaned on his hand that was propped up on the arm of the chair.

Daisuke thanked both of them, then left, and Rirre chuckled once Daisuke was out of earshot.

"Do you think this will work?" Rirre asked, then Cloud smirked.

"Was I not convincing enough?" Cloud asked, and Rirre laughed more.

"He's going to ask Billy. You know that." Rirre said, and Cloud shrugged.

"It's close enough to the prophecy, brother. You know that. It's just not happening soon." Cloud chuckled himself. He hoped to see Daisuke again very soon.

Snow woke up from a nightmare with heavy breaths. It showed angels coming down from heaven with pure silver swords. They killed almost every creature they knew, and she was standing there waiting for them to go to her.

Her own shadow elongated, and a shadow of her went into one of the dead. She made it rise and get into a fighting position, but an angel came close while holding someone hostage.

That hostage had been Daisuke.

"If you know what is good for this disgusting halfling, then you'll put your weapon down!" The voice boomed. It hurt Snow's ears, but she didn't want to put her only weapon down. She didn't want to die but also didn't wish for Daisuke's death.

The shadow dropped the corpse, and Snow pulled it back just as the angel stabbed Daisuke in the back.

"NO!" Snow screamed, and a shadow took over the angel, then she woke up.

Snow rubbed her face and began to cry. She didn't know why she had a dream like that, but it made her not want to kill for her brother anymore. She was sure they were almost done with all the killing, but she wasn't sure.

A knock on her door caused Snow to snap out of her thoughts. "Come in..." She mumbled as she wiped her tears away.

"Everything okay?" Hikaru asked as he opened her door then stepped in. "You screamed earlier." He added.

Snow had thought she just screamed in her sleep, but that hadn't been the case, she guessed. "I had a nightmare. Sorry for waking you up, brother." Snow muttered.

"It's okay that you did. Did you want to talk about the dream or nightmare?" Hikaru asked her as he went over and sat on the bed with her.

Snow bit her lip, and she wondered if Hikaru knew anything about angels. It couldn't hurt to ask. "How much do you know about angels?" Snow asked. Hikaru blinked.

"A little but not much. I do know the angels that were born on earth get chosen to be angels up in heaven, and they have a fucked up prophecy." Hikaru remembered. "Why do you ask?" He asked her.

Snow swallowed, and she wondered if she should tell Hikaru that she had a dream about them killing Daisuke and everyone else. It was probably for the best if she did say something since she didn't like the weight it brought onto her shoulders. "I had a dream where they began to kill every person except humans, and they were coming after me." Snow told him as tears fell down her cheeks.

Hikaru stared at her, then sighed. "That is one part of the prophecy for the earth. They come down and exterminate all that aren't human, but you're supposed to be out of control when they come down. It shouldn't happen for a while unless something triggers them to go down sooner. I wouldn't know what that event could be, but it could be anything." Hikaru explained to her.

Snow listened and frowned upon her new information. "Does that mean Daisuke is in danger because Cloud tainted him?" Snow asked, and Hikaru blinked.

"I would think so... But he was in danger anyway because the angels don't like half angels." Hikaru shrugged. "Either way, he would have also been killed. So remember, if they come down anytime soon, then you can't reveal to them that Daisuke is a potential weakness for you. They'd use that against you to get your defenses down. Also, don't ask them if they ran into him because that could put Daisuke in danger if they haven't already got to him." Hikaru added, then stood up.

Snow looked up at him, and he smiled at her. "Can I contact Daisuke and warn him? He does live in town..." Snow asked.

Hikaru frowned at the question as he didn't want Snow to come into contact with the half-angel, but he couldn't say no. Not after her outburst from earlier in the day. He could feel her power growing, and if she learned to control it, then he could be in deep shit.

"Fine..." He grumbled. "Just don't disclose our location to him. You can meet up with him and tell him you live in town, but don't tell him where we live or else." Hikaru growled at her.

Snow nodded to that, then bounced up to throw her arms around her brother. "Thank you so much, brother! You gave me permission means the world to me! Thank you again!" Snow exclaimed, and Hikaru chuckled.

"Of course, Snow. Anything to make you happy." Hikaru mumbled and wrapped his arms back around her. Her warmth was pleasant to feel, but he knew he couldn't have her, not after what she asked of him. He had to shake away his indecent thoughts and forget about having his sister. Besides, he wouldn't be able to provide for her or even give her the life she wanted. She wanted Daisuke and his love, not Hikaru's love or him.

---

Snow pulled away, then looked out the window and saw that it was night time, and she pouted. "I can't go out till tomorrow, right?" She asked Hikaru, who nodded to her question. She sighed profoundly but nodded to that. She still had to obey Hikaru since she lived under his roof. "I'll go warn Daisuke tomorrow then..." She mumbled out loud, and Hikaru smiled at her sadly.

He'd have to stop tormenting her with his useless flirting and pinning her to things. He shook his head, then left his sister's room as he checked his phone. He knew it was late but maybe getting a drink would soothe his racing thoughts. "Don't go to sleep too late, sister," Hikaru told her, then closed her door as he went to walk out of the house.

Unknown: We need to talk.

Hikaru frowned at the message he had gotten and wondered who it could have been. No one really knew his number unless it was someone working for him. He grabbed his coat and keys along with shoes as he walked out of the house. He locked it up then began to walk down the street when his phone went off again.

Unknown: Meet me at Frek's Place. Now.

Hikaru stared at the message then went to his browser to look the place up. He could see it was a bar nearby that was open currently, and he made his way there. It had to be someone he knew that knew he lived in town, but he couldn't think of anyone who might know him. Hikaru was sure it wasn't the others involved with Daisuke, though, since they hated him. He shook his head as he rounded the corner to the back alley bar. He entered as someone was leaving.

"Sorry..."

Hikaru just said it's alright as he walked into the place and glanced around.

"Welcome to Frek's. Take a seat anywhere, and I'll be with you as soon as I can." Axl said to him as he was talking to someone at the bar that Hikaru didn't see.

Hikaru sighed but went to wander the bar before he spotted Cloud in the back, just lounging with a wine glass in hand that had red liquid in it. Hikaru winced and assumed it was blood as he went to turn around, but Cloud looked up and motioned for him to move forward. He frowned more but went and sat down across from him.

"How did you get my number?" Hikaru asked him and Cloud chuckled.

"I have my ways, Hikaru," Cloud told him and took a drink from his glass. "I have a proposition for you." He added.

Hikaru rolled his eyes then looked at the other. "I feel like I should say no to you from the beginning since you have hated me for so long, yet you're talking to me like nothing happened," Hikaru noted, and Cloud shrugged his shoulders.

"Our goals are currently the same, though. I finally just saw Daisuke again after so many years of recovering from a nasty spat with the high council of vampires, and I wanted to talk to you about keeping Daisuke away from Snow." Cloud told him, and Hikaru couldn't help but lean forward.

"How, though? Snow is going to see him tomorrow, and I do-"

The door slamming shut to the bar disturbed the two, but it was just someone leaving, and the bartender came over to them. "Anything I can get you guys?" Axl asked the two as Cloud hummed.

"More wine, please, and a jack with coke for him." Cloud gave the order, and Axl nodded.

"I'll be right back."

Hikaru leaned back, then shook his head. "You didn't have to order for me." Hikaru hissed, but Cloud shrugged again.

"You didn't tell him a different one, so it's your fault if you didn't want it. Just speak up next time, and you'll get what you want." Cloud told him, then took another drink.

Hikaru scoffed. "You're such a fucking dick."

"So are you." Cloud retorted back.

"Here you go. Keep your tab open?" Axl asked Cloud, who nodded. "Pay before you go." He added, then walked off from the two.

Cloud watched Axl walk off, then looked at Hikaru. "You walked past Billy when you came in. He saw me come in earlier and glared at me but didn't say a word to me." Cloud hummed. "He was pissed off at me today anyway." Cloud continued talking as he didn't let the other get his words in. "I talked to him about speaking to Daisuke, but he wasn't going to let me. He told me that I'm a bastard and don't deserve love, then left me there." Cloud spoke as he stared at the alcohol in his glass.

"I don't have strong feelings for whenever someone speaks down to me, but his words hurt me more than usual. Not sure why though, since I still managed to see Daisuke, but I think I pushed him toward Snow instead of away. For that, I must apologize. It wasn't my intention to do that, but it happened because I told him about the prophecy." Cloud informed Hikaru, who began to drink.

A long silence fell between them, and Hikaru shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "How did he react to the prophecy? I told Snow, and she just wanted to warn Daisuke about it." Hikaru informed Cloud.

"Daisuke just wanted to inform Snow about it. It is basically a telling of both their futures." Cloud told him.

"Doesn't mean I want them interacting." Hikaru hissed then sighed. "What is your plan, Cloud?" He asked him, which caused Cloud to smile wide.

Daisuke panted as he made it all the way back home before Billy made his way home. He did his chores and was in the middle of doing homework around midnight when Billy slammed open the door.

"Daisuke!" Billy yelled, which made him jump, but he got up from his desk and exited his room to meet Billy.

"What?"

Billy sneered at the other but slid his shoes off before speaking again.

"Billy. Dude. What is going on?" Daisuke asked as he tried to keep his brother from falling, but the other swatted his hand away.

"Don't fucking touch me," Billy hissed then cleared his throat. He could feel his buzz going away, and this is when he cursed being an angel. It was impossible to get drunk! "I ran into Cloud tonight." He told Daisuke and glanced at him. "He said to someone else that he met you tonight. I thought I told you to keep the door fucking shut to him? What the fuck happened?" Billy asked him.

Daisuke had frozen when Billy mentioned Cloud, and his mouth went dry. He didn't know what to say, and he couldn't lie. "I-I... I invited Rirre into the house months ago, one day at school, because he told me that he wasn't in contact with Cloud. He lied about it, though, and then came into the house tonight then invited Cloud in. I'm so sorry, Billy. I didn't know." Daisuke explained, and Billy's glare just softened.

Billy then rubbed a hand down his face. "Oh, that explains a lot now." He groaned and shook his head. "It's fine. I am not even mad at you but mad at Cloud for it. I told him not to contact you, but he still did, and it just betrayed my trust further. What did he even want with you? He didn't hurt you, did he?" Billy asked and went to check Daisuke over. "I would never forgive myself if he hurt you," Billy grumbled as he checked everywhere on Daisuke.

Daisuke nodded to what Billy said, and then he let Billy check him over. "He wanted to ask me if I would become a vampire because he knew how to turn me now, but I said no. Then he told me about a prophecy with the angels up in heaven that they'll come down and smite all creatures that are mythical, like vampires and werewolves. He also said they would kill me because I am a half-angel, and I can't be existing." He told him, then sighed as Billy told him to take his shirt off. He continued to speak.

"Then he mentioned something about Snow being in danger because she is the last of her kind, so if she loses control of her powers, then they'll come down and start their hunt." Daisuke finished as Billy stopped examining him.

"That's not true," Billy said and looked at Daisuke. "You're indeed a half-angel and an abomination, but they'll come down and purify you then bring you back to heaven. They're losing angels up there and need more so you wouldn't be killed. An archangel recently got killed, so they're panicking since they don't have the manpower for the prophecy." Billy informed him as Daisuke put his shirt back on. "If they come down here, then they're desperate, Daisuke. You won't be allowed to come back down to Earth until they brainwash you, then you'll just be sent down here for missions." Billy explained as he went to walk to the kitchen.

"Why are you down here?" Daisuke asked Billy, who then sighed.

"To make sure you don't turn to the vampires," Billy informed him and got a drink out of the fridge. "Then you and I will go back to heaven when they really need us." He added.

Daisuke stared at Billy for a while before he spoke. "Does that mean I'm not really your brother by blood?" Daisuke asked him.

Billy almost choked on his drink, but he managed not to. "We are all brothers and sisters in the eyes of God." Billy automatically answered, then he looked at Daisuke. "I was given my mission when you were young, then got called away, and that's when Cloud tainted you. I was put back here to keep a better eye on you since your caretakers died." Billy explained.

"So a literal guardian angel?" Daisuke asked, and Billy nodded.

Slowly Daisuke's world was crashing down. Were the only real things his relationship with Snow, Cloud, and Rirre? If so, then why wasn't he with one of them? Why did he get taken by Billy so quickly?

"Any other questions?" Billy asked Daisuke, who snapped out of his thoughts.

"No."

Daisuke turned away from the other and went upstairs to his room. His thoughts raced about everything Billy just told him. Hell, he was unsure if Billy was even the other's name! If he had a guardian angel, that would mean Billy kept him 'protected' from others for the angel's own agenda, and he wasn't looking out for Daisuke.

Daisuke slammed his door shut once he got to his room, and things started to make sense now. This was why he didn't have a phone, wasn't allowed to join clubs or sports teams. He wasn't allowed to even meet up with friends from school since he was just being isolated. The angels may not have wanted Daisuke to get tainted, but he would have to learn about the prophecy sooner or later. How would they deal with him now that he knew?

Daisuke seethed with anger as he punched the wall, and a dent was made. He had to act fast if he didn't want to be stuck up in heaven just because they were incompetent.

Takashi sighed deeply as he trudged his way into the house behind Maddy. He had wanted to say no to his brother and father about helping in getting justice for their mother, but he couldn't bring himself to. He saw Maddy move to the kitchen, and he checked the time. Dinner had run long, which made Takashi realize how tired he really was.

"Is Axl not back yet?" Takashi asked Maddy from where he was in the entryway.

"He works tonight. If you want to speak to him, then it'll have to wait till morning." Maddy told him as she ate a baby carrot.

Takashi nodded to that and rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm going to sleep then..." He told her, and she nodded at him as she flopped down on the couch and turned on the TV in the living room. Takashi sighed deeply, then walked upstairs to his room. He had to speak to his brother about helping with the mom thing, but he knew Axl wouldn't say yes. He had already said no once, and he will repeat it without any remorse.

He got ready for bed and laid down with an arm across his forehead under his blankets. It was close to one am, and Takashi knew he had school tomorrow. He groaned and closed his eyes to try to sleep. He had tossed and turned before finally falling into a restless sleep.

The next morning he woke up with his head pounding. He vaguely remembered his dream that was filled with blood, but he could recall any of it. He pulled himself out of bed and shuffled around his room to grab a towel with a change of clothes.

"You're up early," Axl spoke as Takashi exited his room.

Takashi would usually jump, but he had heard the other coming, so he looked at his brother then squinted at him. "How are you always up so early when you come home so late?" Takashi hissed at the other, then Axl laughed.

"I haven't been to sleep yet, scamp." Axl ruffled Takashi's hair with a laugh, and Takashi swatted his hand away. "Geez, looks like you got up on the wrong side of the bed." Axl joked, but Takashi growled at him. "I'm sorry. I'll stop joking around. Did you have a nightmare or something?" Axl asked.

"No..." Takashi groaned. "I barely remember my dream. I just know it had a ton of blood in it, and I saw red. I don't remember much else." Takashi told him and sighed.

Axl was going to talk, but Maddy came rushing up the stairs toward them. "A congregation was murdered!" She screamed at them, and they both rushed downstairs.

A massive murder has occurred at the local Angelic Church. A study group of about twenty just enjoying bible study had bite marks on their necks. More about this story at eleven.

Axl frowned deeply and covered his mouth in thought as Maddy also frowned with her arms crossed over her chest.

Takashi stared wide at the screen as they showed the kids after that had gotten killed. He recognized them, and he knew from where. Flashes of his dream began to come back as he realized what had actually happened. He covered his mouth as his stomach did a flip, and he felt nauseous. If he had actually done that, then it meant he was a murderer.

"Do you think a new vampire is in town?" Axl asked Maddy, who hummed in response. "Or one of our own?" Axl asked her, and Maddy chuckled.

"It couldn't be you or anyone else in town, Axl. Takashi is only half, and you are under control. Even the other one is under control too." Maddy said as she didn't notice Takashi left the room.

Takashi rushed to the bathroom and threw up in the toilet. Everything was red, and his thoughts raced as he felt even more queasy. He didn't want it to be accurate, but it seemed like it was. A knock came onto the second-story window, and Takashi jumped, but he looked and saw his brother, Jeremiah.

Takashi rushed over and opened the window, and Jeremiah hopped into the bathroom as he looked at Takashi.

"You don't look so good, Taka. Are you doing okay?" Jeremiah asked, and Takashi shook his head. He had swallowed the bile down that was threatening to come back up as he didn't dare speak. "You saw the news then?" Jeremiah asked, and he nodded. "Do you think a new vampire is in town?" He asked.

Takashi didn't want to talk, but Jeremiah had started the shower. He didn't know why, but he cleared his throat since he knew his brother was facing away from him. "No."

"Then who could it have been?" Jeremiah asked.

"I-I don't know..." Takashi trailed off as he took a step back, but Jeremiah appeared behind him. He felt his arm get twisted behind his back, and he gasped at his brother's sudden touch.

"I think you do know..." Jeremiah whispered into Takashi's ear.

Takashi felt his whole body respond to this, and he groaned as Jeremiah chuckled then pushed him towards the shower. He was sure that since his body craved the touches from Axl, it responded to Jeremiah so quickly.

"B-But I'm not a full-fledged vampire..." Takashi told him, and Jeremiah went over to him, then grabbed his chin.

"That doesn't matter." Jeremiah hissed, then ripped open Takashi's shirt and chuckled. "You still have the primal urges of any normal vampire, and they're harder to control since you're half." Jeremiah purred, and Takashi glanced down.

His throw-up was more than enough evidence to say he did the murders, but as he looked down, he then saw the scrapes and cuts had healed from the fight. He also had dried blood flakes on his skin, and it was all over his shirt too.

"Do Maddy and Axl know?" Jeremiah asked, and Takashi looked at him in horror. "I'll take that as a no." He laughed, then hummed. "Take a shower, then get ready. I'll walk you to school, you little murderer." Jeremiah smirked and ruffled Takashi's hair, who shivered.

Takashi watched his brother leave then he swallowed. He couldn't tell his other siblings he was out of control. He could see what Maddy would want to do, and he shivered again but in fear. They may be all the same, but he knew Maddy and Axl didn't want to kill humans like his brother along with his dad. Takashi would be in exile if he told the other two what he had done. He had to choose who to trust now that he was a killer.
