Secret Meeting

We didn't know when we should go or who we should go to. "We needed to do some research on the different activists and see who is someone we can trust. However, the only person we could really ask was Nanaba since all of the usual people would probably rat us out to someone." Molbit would probably tell Hanji before we are ready, Auruo will probably tell Petra, and Mom... that's just death.

"Yeah Nanaba sounds like the safest option," Pixis nodded.

We walked out of Pixis's office deciding we would come up with a good plan later after everyone went to bed. The last thing we needed was someone to come in and overhear our reckless plans and tell mom or anyone else for that matter.

"What do we even plan?" I whispered to Levi as we made our way back to the common room.

"We can talk about that later, but right now we need to just be as normal as possible we don't need anyone bringing anything up.

When we came back out Jean and Marco were staring at us. Oh, shit, that's right we just kinda left them sitting at the table without any explanation. "Where did you guys go?" Jean asked.

"Pixis wanted to talk to us and make sure we were okay," Levi quickly answered. Good, I didn't have an answer.

"Are you guys okay?" Marco asked, checking in with us.

"Yeah, we figured there would be more disappearances. It was inevitable, but I'm glad that people are fighting back against it now and are trying to prevent it as much as they can." I said answering honestly.

"Did Pixis mention anything about any future plans?" Jean asked.

"Nothing concrete, just a few ideas he was thinking of, but he was mostly just spitballing," Levi said.

"Yeah, he said we need to give everything time to cool down before we do anything too big or reckless," I added.

"But won't waiting for things to die down hurt us? People aren't going to fight for us forever. It's a trend right now and we all know that trends die out."

"We aren't going to wait forever, we just need to wait until eyes aren't on us at the moment. We don't want them finding out we are the ones making all the moves. Besides, it's not just a trend some people are in it because it's a trend, but there are some people who will spend their whole lives fighting for change. We need time to differentiate the two to know who to trust," I answered before realizing I was thinking more about our future plan when I had that in mind.

"Why would we need to trust them?" Jean asked. Shit did I say too much?

"Well, wouldn't you want to be able to trust the people fighting for you?" Levi asked.

"Yeah, but- ugh I don't know. I guess I should just let you guys do whatever you're going to do. I'm not good at all the planning and coming up with good ideas so I guess it's fine if I don't understand the grand plan as long as it gets us somewhere other than a grave in the end," he said before looking up at us. "Sorry, I was just thinking out loud I guess."

"It's fine we are all still trying to figure things out," Levi said before excusing us. We headed back to our room. We needed time to come up with a plan so that when Pixis was ready we already had an idea of how to go about things.

So we need to figure out when we can do this. It will probably have to be in the middle of the night so no one notices us leaving, and when will they be okay with meeting us? If we have to meet them during the day we will have to stay somewhere that wouldn't make us suspicious for however long it will take until they are ready.

Then after... if there is an after. Let's be real, we will probably die. I mean this is Russian roulette. I wouldn't be surprised if a majority of these were traps. How do we know if we are walking into a trap or to someone who genuinely wants to help? What do we do if it is a trap? We need a plan. Is there anything we even can do at that point? I mean we are walking in blind. We don't know how big the place we will meet up is going to be, we don't know how many people would be there if there is a trap. We don't know if when we walk in if they will even expose it as a trap before gunning us down. One minute we could be walking in and the next dead on the floor with bullets through our heads.

"Stop that," Levi said, putting his arms around me and pulling me into his lap. "We will make up a plan for every situation we come across. I won't let us die on this mission."

"Well aren't you the optimist," I sighed. I mean we kinda need an optimist right now, but I can't find anything to be optimistic for. I don't know if I'm being pessimistic or a realist? Because let's be real this is by far the riskiest thing we have ever done and probably will ever do. We might die before we ever know what happens.

"Stop that," he groaned again. "We will come up with plans. Everything will be okay."

"How can you say that so confidently?" I asked knowing damn well he wasn't as sure as he was letting on.

"Because I know how we are. We are stubborn and we are powerful. We can make it through this. Whether you come up with the plans or I do we are making plans to keep everyone safe and alive." I laid my head on his shoulder and wrapped my legs around his waist as I sunk into his embrace. His arms tightened around me as he pulled me close.

I felt so safe in his arms. Even if he was talking out of his ass right now. He sounded so sure we were all going to be okay. He sounded like he could actually back up his claims and keep me safe, keep us all safe. I just closed my eyes and shook my head. "I can't do this right now."

"Okay well we have a few hours until we have to meet back up with Pixis so maybe we should take a nap. You feel exhausted and it's making me tired."

"I would like that," I mumbled as Levi laid us back on the bed. I don't even feel tired in a sleep kinda way just in life is too much kinda way. I just need to lay down and rest letting my mind wander is only causing me more stress, but laying here with Levi is helping. He makes everything better. When I feel like my world is crumbling he's there picking up the pieces.

"Your thoughts are always so sappy," Levi laughed before pulling me close to his chest. "But I'm glad I can make everything better even if it's just a little."

I let my eyes close as I could feel his chest rising and falling beneath my head. He had one arm wrapped around my waist pulling me close while his other wrapped around my upper back. His hand was in my hair lightly playing with some strands. I used my hands to hold him close making sure there was no distance between us.

Even though I thought sleep was going to be nearly impossible due to my swarming thoughts somehow they all quieted down enough and I felt the world slip away.

When I woke up Levi was still holding me close. "Morning baby," he said with a smile that made my heart melt.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"It's pretty late, I was going to wake you in a few minutes so we could go talk to Pixis."

"But we didn't plan anything," I said sitting up realizing we wasted the whole day.

"Don't worry we have plenty of time to do that tonight with him. Three heads will work better than two. Besides, it's not like we have all of the information yet. We need more information before making any concrete plans. For now, we'll all be brainstorming."

"Still we could have come up with something," I sighed.

"I thought of a few things so we aren't going in empty-handed."

We got up and walked to Pixis's office and took a seat in the chairs across from him. "Alright let's start planning," Pixis said.

I instantly looked to Levi knowing he had some thoughts he wanted to share. "Well, Eren was worried about it being a trap so I might have a few ways to combat it if it is, but I don't know if they will work."

"Alright let's hear them," Pixis nodded.

"Well, we need to protect all of us especially from bullets which is the most likely way they would try and kill us," he said and those words alone made my skin crawl. It was starting to sink in earlier that we were really doing this. That we may really die on this mission, and hearing him say that just brought that same feeling back. I felt as a hand collided with the back of my head. "Stop that," Levi said before continuing his explanation. "So I thought well our powers are the best at protecting. Your force fields would come in handy, however, I doubt you would be able to hold them the whole time."

"It's highly unlikely," Pixis sighed.

"The other idea I had I'm not sure if it would work, but I was thinking that maybe Eren could fuck with the gravity around us. So it wouldn't directly affect us but anything that comes in a certain radius around us."

"What do you mean?" I asked not really seeing what he was talking about.

"Well, kinda like a force field. So you know how you affect a target with your powers?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you affect the area around a target without the target actually being affected?"

"I think I know what you're saying, but I have no clue if I can do that," I shrugged. It was a good idea but pulling it off will be a whole other mission in itself.

"Powers are finicky," Pixis mumbled, "we could try it out, but with the way, Eren's powers work I doubt it would be possible to pull off. Even if it is I don't think he would be able to perfect it by the time the mission comes around. I don't even think I need to tell you how dangerous it would be to go in without a perfected trick like this. It could be dangerous for us not to mention the people around us."

"Yeah, if I fuck with stuff like that too much I could accidentally squash one of us like a bug," I mumbled.

"Okay so that's out of the question," Levi shook his head. "We will come up with another idea."

"That's probably for the best," Pixis and I both agreed
