"I'll finish getting some more information and we can set up a plan for the next press conference in the next few days," Pixis explained. I gave him a nod and stood up excusing myself. I really only came to discuss this and make sure he knows my plan and that I'm not backing down this time. I can tell by the fear in his eyes that he knew I didn't plan to give up on this easily. I know he thinks that he can change my mind with time but I'm not so sure. I genuinely think this is the only way they will understand.

Levi silently followed me back to the room. "Thank you for standing with me in there. I know you are against this plan too, but you didn't throw me under the bus. Why?" I asked turning around to look at him.

"We made a promise. If one of us goes on a dangerous mission the other would too. If I can't talk you out of it then I'm forced to join you that's that," he let out a frustrated sigh before plopping down on the bed. "Though I do hope that we are able to come up with a better plan than this. If Pixis is able to give you a workaround can you promise to at least consider it?"

"I'll be open to other options if I think they have a shot at working, but for now I don't see how anything else can work. Like I told him all they have to cling to are these labels they gave us and the false narrative behind them. These labels are automatically associated with monsters and the lies they've told about us. It's easy to throw around labels and condemn us when all we are are labels, but when there are actual faces and stories behind them it makes it a little harder for a person to blindly follow their false narrative." I took a seat on the bed next to him letting out a sigh.

I hated this feeling in the air, this feeling between us. Whenever it gets like this it's like we are staring at each other from opposing sides trying to convince the other to join them but to no avail. It's not something I like feeling with anyone but especially not with someone who I consider to be my other half.

"Then let's drop this. At least for now. I mean you did say you would consider other options and I did say if there were no other option in the end that I would go with you anyway," Levi said sitting up and putting his hand on mine. "We should just forget about it, for now, put a pin in it until we know the whole plan like Pixis said."

I took a deep breath and leaned my head on his shoulder. "I'd like that. We will discuss this later," I agreed. The room fell back into silence, both of us trying to just drop it and think of something else, but nothing else was coming to mind. Of course, this wouldn't be that easy to just drop and move on from. I mean I won't sugar coat it. This is basically a suicide mission that I've not only signed up for but refuse to back down from. I know all the dangers and the risks yet I think it truly is the only way to get through to them.

"Sorry," I mumbled out knowing that I haven't exactly dropped this. I could tell by his silence he hasn't either.

He just shook his head and shrugged his shoulder making me move my head off of it so I would look up at him. "Okay, we are officially dropping it now," Levi said looking me in the eyes before placing a hand on my cheek and giving me a soft smile. The smile quickly twisted into a devious smile. I'm no mind reader but I can hear exactly what he's thinning with how loud that damn smirk is. "Let's take our mind off things yeah?" he asked. There it is, I was waiting for it.

"Let's," I agreed.

Levi pushed me down on the bed lightly before leaning over me pressing our lips together. Well, mission accomplished I already forgot what we were talking about.

I scooted farther up on the bed and Levi positioned himself between my legs. I wrapped my legs around his hips and looked up to meet his eyes. He just leaned forward reconnecting the kiss. As he leaned on one arm to hold himself up his other arm was placed on my hip and slowly guided up my side under my shirt. His hands were cold against my skin.
