Jean and Marco also left the room a few moments later. Jean looked a little more annoyed and before I could even try and figure out what happened Pixis just laughed, "Did Eren punch you?"

"No," Jean mumbled.

"Yes," Marco smiled before clearing his throat. "Anyway, it's nice to officially meet you," Marco said, reaching his hand out to me.

"It's nice to meet you too," I said, shaking his hand.

When I looked at Jean to try and say hello to him he spoke first, "sup," Jean said with an awkward nod of his head.

Marco just turned his head to glare at him, "he means it's nice to meet you," he corrected.

Before anything else could be said Levi and Eren came out of the room. "Alright, ready?" Levi asked, I just gave him a slight nod and Pixis gave him a pat on the shoulder.

"If you need me I'll be in my office," he said before heading off down the hall.

Jean and Marco headed back into their room while we all headed back to the common area. We walked out and I saw as they instantly started heading over towards that girl from earlier, Rico I think her name was. "Um, Pixis told me I should avoid her," I mumbled as she made eye contact with me, her eyes instantly glaring into my soul.

Levi just shook his head, "It will be fine, I know how to get through to her. Just give me a second to talk to her first and then I'm sure she will warm up to you." We all walked up but Eren and I stood back a little so Levi could talk to her.

"Don't bring that guy over here," she spat at Levi, not even caring if I heard her or not.

Levi's voice was a lot quieter and hard to hear, but I was able to piece together what he said from what I heard. "Hey, I know you don't really trust anyone new, but the last person I told you about you agreed with my description of them right?"

"Ilsa was different," Rico's voice lowered as she matched Levi's tone.

"But I was right and you agreed with it."

"Yes but-."

"They listen to me when I say I know he has no ill intentions and he genuinely wants to help. He's a good man and I know you'll come to the same conclusion if you give him a chance."

There was a moment of silence before she just whispered, "I fucking hate you."

She turned to me and reached out her hand, "Nice to meet you," her tone wasn't as welcoming as the phrase, but it wasn't as mean as earlier. I cautiously shook her hand and gave a slight smile.

"Nice to meet you too," I said quietly.

She turned to leave without another word and I heard Levi say "Thank you."

"I didn't do that for you, I did it for Ilsa," she said before walking off.

"Well it's progress," Eren mumbled before patting me on the back, "when she first met us she threatened us... like a lot."

"Oh." We walked around and said hi to a few more people. I saw that Erwin guy again and he seemed more friendly this time around. Shadis seemed scary, but he was pretty nice. I also met someone named Mike. he didn't really talk much, but he seemed nice enough. Molbit was also really nice, but also kinda quiet. I figured out he also didn't have powers and felt a little happy to know I wasn't the only one here without powers. There are three of us here without any powers, Molbit, Ms. Magnolia, and now me.

"The next person we're going to introduce you to might be a little hard," Levi said as we approached another man who was sitting at a table.

"He's has a lot of trouble talking, so we will probably have to translate," Levi explained.

"Oh okay."

We walked up and I introduced myself, "Hi, I'm Hassam nice to meet you,"

The man waved and Levi translated as he signed back. "Hi, Hassam I'm Eld. Nice to meet you."

When we walked away Levi and Eren started leading me back towards that Ymir girl I met earlier. Before I could say I already met her Levi turned his head.

"I know, we are going to introduce you to her girlfriend Christa," he said and it took me a moment to remember that he can read minds and I didn't even have to say anything for him to know.

"Right."

We walked up and Levi introduced me to her. "Oh it's so nice to meet you," she said flashing me the purest smile. "You would never hurt anyone here right?" she asked.

"No of course not."

"I want you to look me in the eyes and tell me your true intentions here."

My mind blurred for a moment and I can't really remember what happened fully. I just know I answered her and then the next thing I know Levi is glaring her down and my mind is clearing up.

"Stop using your power on him," I heard him say.

"What I wanted to make sure, and his answer made me sure," she shrugged. "Sorry about that, but it is genuinely nice to meet you."

"Thanks?" I said a little more confused about what just happened.

"Anyway we're going to go now," Levi said, shooting the girls another glare before we walked away.

We met mostly everyone else. The only other person I had any issues with was this guy named Gunther. He did something similar to what Christa did apparently, but I didn't even notice. I only noticed because Levi asked if he was using his power on me. I don't even know what his power was. I didn't feel any effects of it.

Levi told me after he was using his power to make sure I could only tell the truth and the only reason I didn't feel it was because my answer that I was going to give was already the truth, or something along those lines all of this is really confusing.

There are two more people you need to meet before everyone here has gotten fully acquainted with you," Levi had told me as we walked up to a young lady.

"We saved the worst for last," I heard Eren mumbled before Levi elbowed him to shut him up. Who could be worse than that Rico girl?"

We walked up and instantly that one girl turned into like twenty.

"Fifteen actually," Levi said, correcting my thoughts.

"Oh my god hello," one of them said.

"I've heard so much about you," another behind me said.

"So far only good things."

"I'm Sasha by the way."

"Hassam," I said back, trying to find a person to focus on.

I felt really disoriented as I turned in circles to try and find which one was saying the voice.

"Knock it off," Levi glared, "stop messing with his head."

"Sorry, it's just funny to watch new people react to my power," she laughed as her duplicates disappeared until there was just the original.

After a moment of normal conversation, Levi and Eren were escorting me away from her Levi whispering that it was for my own sanity, but I think it was also for theirs.

I can see why they thought that would go bad. It wasn't cause she was going to glare into me and be mean, but because she likes to mess with people and seems really hyper.

"The last person we want you to meet, well we don't know how they are going to react," Levi said, trying to be nice about it.

"He's normally really level-headed and nice, however, after he lost his boyfriend he's been unpredictable and we aren't sure how he might react to you," Eren said, further explaining what Levi was trying to say.

"I see, this must be Berthold?" I asked remembering his name from the story they told me.

"Yes."

"His boyfriend was Reiner?"

"That's right."

We headed to the rooms since Berthold wasn't in the common area.

This wasn't our first trip to the rooms, but this was the one I felt the most nervous about since they gave me a warning before we met this person.

When he said come in he sounded very calm, but apparently, his mood can flip at the drop of a hat according to these two.

"Berthold, we thought you should officially meet Hassam since he's going to be staying with us for a bit," Levi said, his voice calm and careful almost as if he was afraid of setting him off.

"Nice to meet you, Hassam," he said quietly. His voice was flat and held no emotions.

"It's nice to meet you too." Levi and Eren looked like they were ready to escort me out, but I felt like I had to say something more in this case.

"I heard about what happened, and I just wanted to say I'm so very sorry for your loss. From what I've heard Reiner sounded like a nice guy."

The room fell dead silent. Levi and Eren looked like they didn't even want to move a muscle as they waited for Berthold's response. Berthold's eyes slowly came up to meet mine.

"He wasn't nice," he finally spoke up, "he was an asshole, but I loved him."

"He shouldn't have had to die like that, but I'm here to try and make sure that that never happens again," I spoke from my heart. I could feel as my chest tightened and I wasn't quite sure what this feeling was until I realized that it wasn't my feeling which is why I couldn't quite figure out what it was. As quickly as it came it left. I remembered Levi's other power was emotions and I was starting to realize what he meant when he said sometimes he can't control when they affect people.

"Thank you," his voice was soft as his eyes turned back towards the floor.

"I know I'm probably the last person you want to talk to about any of this, but I'm a good listener. So if you ever need someone to lend an ear, I'm here."

He just gave a small nod and I knew there was nothing else to say. We headed out of the room and Levi and Eren looked at each other and then at me with surprise.

"Well that went better than expected," Levi said.
