Third Person's POV

We start in the Great Unknown at night "Man! Something about this sure looks...whoa!" Brody said as a portal opens trying to pull Sonic and Brody into the void so they pull out their power rings "Outta here!" Sonic and Brody said as they get away and the portal closes "Nice try Ro-butt-nik, but you lose!" Sonic said and Brody sees something on the ground "Whoa. Seriously weird" Brody saidpicking up the object and Sonic walks to him "Maybe Sally can figure it out. Pedal to the metal time!" Sonic said as he and Brody run off.

*Inside the void*

"Such superb speeds.." Naugus said seeing them in his crystal and then the image in his crystal changes to Sally "...and such a fine mind. Interesting" Naugus said.

*Later at Knothole*

"Nicole, do we have another perspective?" Sally asks "Negative, Sally" Nicole said "Additional data?" Sally asks "Negative, Sally" Nicole said "Hey, guys!" Sonic and Brody said arriving "Heya, sugar-hog and sugar-wolf!" Bunnie said "Hi, Sonic! Hi, Brody!" Sally said "Sally, remember that portal Ari got sucked into?" Brody asks "You mean the Void?" Sally asks "Yeah, the Void. Brody and I were kickin' across the Great Unknown and this mondo crack opens up in the ground; tries to suck us in and Brody found this" Sonic said and Brody shows her the object "Oh my gosh. Sonic and Brody, your timing is amazing. This ring is from the Mandaras" Sally said "Say what?" Sonic asks "The Mandaras. A legendary race of giants I've been researching. This is the first proof that they actually exist" Sally said "Thank you, boys!" She said "No problem" Brody said "I don't know what you're talking about but your welcome" Sonic said when Dove lands on the window, delivering a message to the Freedom Fighters and Bunnie walks to him "Hmm... mail from Markus and Uncle Chuck" Bunnie said "Well what's it say?" Sonic asks " "Robotnik planning something big. Send Sonic and Brody"" Bunnie reads "Out of here!" Sonic and Brody said speeding away and Sally grabs Nicole while looking at the object's inscriptions "Nicole, translation please" Sally said "Characters incongruous to historical era, Sally. High probability of artifact falsification. Ambient energies detected. Caution recommended" Nicole said "What the heck did she say?" Bunnie asks "It could be a fake. Well, a display can't hurt anything. Activate please, Nicole" Sally said and Nicole puts up a holographic display "Hmm. That's the symbol for 'estolia', then 'nalia' and 'bronsha'" Sally said and the "ring" glows red "Oh my stars!" Bunnie said and the girls scream as they are bathed in red light. They are paralyzed as they float out of Knothole Village.

*Meanwhile in Robotropolis-Uncle Chuck's hideout*

Sonic, Brody, Markus and Uncle Chuck are listening on a recording "Snively, study the Doomsday Project information I sent you. I expect your analysis at the next command meeting" Robotnik said "All his commanders are in on it, boys. That worries us!" Uncle Chuck said "Doomsday Project? Sounds mondo ugly!" Sonic said  "When's Robotnik's next meeting, dad?" Brody asks "It's not set yet We'll try to find out but We have to get back to our jobs before We are missed" Markus said as Uncle Chuck uses the periscope "It's clear. Be careful, boys" Uncle Chuck said "You two too" Sonic said "Out of here!" Sonic and Brody said and they run away.

*Meanwhile at the Computer Terminal*

"Well, well... so Naugus finally did it. Oh, this should be very interesting" Snively said looking at a monitor and laughs "Huh? Sir!" He said "What is it, Snively?" Robotnik asks "Satellite photos show Void activity in the Great Unknown, Sir" Snively said "The Void? Impossible!" Robotnik said "Right there, Sir" Snively said showing the monitor "It can't be! Naugus" Robotnik said.

*Flashback*

"Recall me from the Void in one hour, Robotnik. And should you have any thoughts of betrayal..." Naugus said as he magically gives Dr. Robotnik the head of a crow, as Snively laughs "Very, very good, Naugus" Snively said "Trust me, Naugus; I carry no such thoughts" Robotnik said "I should hope not" Naugus said and changes Dr. Robotnik back to normal "Have I made my point... Doctor?" Naugus asks "A safe journey, Naugus. Activating Void" Robotnik said and the door opens and Naugus is sucked into the Void "Snively, disable all retrieval programs" Robotnik said "But-but Sir, didn't you just...?" Snively asks "Now!" Robotnik said "Yes, Sir" Snively said "Rule number one, Naugus, never trust anyone. Heh. Especially me" Robotnik said.

*Flashback ends*

"Sir, if Naugus escapes he's going to be very angry" Snively said "He can open the Void, but he can't get out" Robotnik said "But Sir, if he learned how to open the Void, perhaps he..." Snively said "You're right! Alert Air Command. We'll... we'll keep a close eye on the Void" Robotnik said.

*Back at Knothole*

"Priority one hedgehog and wolf alert! Huh?" Sonic and Brody asks when they arrived and they enter Sally's hut "Sally? Anybody home?" Sonic asks as only Nicole was on the hut "Where is everybody?" Brody asks and finds Nicole lying on the ground "Nicole? What are you doing here?" Sonic asks as Brody picks up Nicole "Sally never goes anywhere without you" Brody said.

*Meanwhile in the Great Unknown*

Bunnie and Sally are pulled into the Void, as Naugus' laughter can be heard

*Back at Sally's hut*

"Where is she, Nicole?" Brody asks "Insufficient information, Brody" Nicole said "Say what?" Sonic asks "Name required for cognitive answer" Nicole said "Where's Sally?" Brody asks "Sally is no longer present" Nicole said "We can see that. Where'd she go?" Sonic asks "Sally did not input destination" Nicole said and Sonic snatches Nicole from Brody "What happened before she left?!" Sonic said shaking Nicole "Warning. Improper manipulation of this unit may cause extensive circuitry damage" Nicole said "Talk in English" Sonic said frustrated and Brody snatches Nicole from him "Stop! You're gonna break her" Brody said "But she's-Oooooh!" Sonic said pouting "Thank you Brody. Please don't let Sonic shake me! I can display what happened before Sally departed" Nicole said "Don't worry Nicole. Display what happened before we arrived" Brody said and Nicole does so " ...then 'nalia' and 'bronsha'" Sally said as a red glows happens and Sally and Bunnie float away "What happened?" Brody asks "What's all that red stuff?" Sonic asks "The radiated energies were similar to those associated..." Nicole said "You're doing it again!" Sonic said "Sonic!" Brody said "I wanna know what you two are talking about!" Sonic whines "It's probably from... the Void" Nicole said "D'oh! The Void. That's where We found that stupid ring! We are kicking!" Brody said "Let us get loose and juice. Let us pack it..." Nicole said "We get the picture, Nicole" Sonic said as the two run away with Brody holding Nicole.

*Meanwhile Inside the Void*

"Who th' hoo-hah are you?" Bunnie asks "And where are we?" Sally asks "I will ask the questions. Where are the hedgehog and the wolf?" Naugus asks "The hedgehog and the wolf?" Sally asks "Tell me about the hedgehog and the wolf" Naugus said using his magic "Sonic and Brody. Leaders of the Knothole Freedom Fighters" Sally said in a monotone voice "I know that. How did they escape my spell?" Naugus asks "They went to Robotropolis" Sally said and Naugus snaps his fingers and both girls gasp as they are released from Naugus' spell  and Naugus gets off his chair "Wait. Who are you?" Sally asks "I am Naugus, a sorcerer. This place is... Sanctuary. You know it as the Void. I discovered its existence. The lowlife you know as... Robotnik designed the means to enter. Though there is much I do not understand about this place, within Sanctuary my magic can do anything... except enable me to escape! For that, I need the hedgehog and wolf's speed. They will be here soon" Naugus said and freezes the girls in crystal "After all, they must rescue... their friends" Naugus said and laughs.

*Later in the Great Unknown*

"This is the place. Where'd it go?" Sonic asks and Brody takes out Nicole "Nicole, find the Void" Brody said "Ambient energy radiating from target source south-southwest" Nicole said and Sonic tried to grab her but Brody held Nicole above his said and held Sonic back with his hand on Sonic's chest "No fair!" Sonic said "Nicole simple for Sonic please" Brody said "Hang a left" Nicole said "Cool" Sonic said stopping as he and Brody run to the left unaware of the hover unit spotting them "Hedgehog and Wolf, priority one. Hedgehog and Wolf, priority one" the hover unit said chasing after them.

*Meanwhile at Robotnik's Command Ship*

"Sir, we're inside the search grid" Snively said "Then release the Surveillance Orbs" Robotnik said and the Surveillance Orbs come out of the ship.

*Back in the Great Unknown*

"Whoa! Not cool. What's up, Nicole?" Brody asks as they stopped near a crack "Receiving multiple radiant forces" Nicole said "In English" Sonic said "Correction, I'm getting signals from all over and they're... messing... me... up" Nicole said "Now that's English" Sonic said and Brody rubs his back "Great. Now , where's this stuff coming from?" Brody asks "The "stuff" is from portable sensors, like the kind Robotnik uses" Nicole said.

*At the same time in Robotnik's Command Ship*

Sonic and Brody are seen in the monitor thanks to the Surveillance orb ""What are the hedgehog and wolf doing so far from home?" is what I'd like to know. There's nothing out here... except the Void. Hmm. Could they possibly be working with... Gah! All units, pursue the hedgehog and the wolf!" Robotnik said.

*Back in the Great Unknown*

Sonic and Brody are staring down several Hover Units, as they are in front of them "Hover Units detected, Brody and Sonic" Nicole said "Oh, now ya tell me, Nicole. Oh man!" Sonic said as he and Brody run away from the Hover Units, who are firing lasers at them "Nicole, any ideas?" Brody asks "Perhaps a Super Spin?" Nicole asks "Starting to like you, Nicole!" Sonic said "Spin and win time!" Sonic and Brody said as they do a super spin going down in the ground.

*At the same time in Robotnik's Command Ship*

Robotnik screams out of frustration "Tracking, Sir. Projected point of exit is... there" Snively said "What's that?" Robotnik asks "Switching to visual, Sir" Snively said showing the portal to the void on monitor "The Void. Full thrust. Alert Air Command. We'll be waiting when they surfaces" Robotnik said.

*Back in the Great Unknown*

Sonic and Brody come out and a strong wind from the portal starts pulling them as they run against it "Yo, what's up? Argh! Not again!" Sonic said  and they see Robotnik's ship and the hover units "Lay down a line of fire!" Robotnik said as they all fire "Big problemo here, Nicole" Brody said "We'll drive them into the Void. Snively! Prepare to close it!" Robotnik said "Harmonic frequencies synchronized, Sir. Ready to activate" Snively said "Excellent! Standby for my signal. Air Command, sweep laser fire forward. Yes!" Robotnik said "No!" Sonic and Brody said as they are trapped between the Void and the Hover Units' laser-fire "Nicole!" Brody said "Chill, Brody. You and Sonic are headed for the ol' Void anyway" Nicole said "Glad We thought of that. Whoa..." Sonic said as he and Brody let themselves get sucked into the Void "Yes, yes, yes! The hedgehog and wolf are  gone! Oh, it just makes me tingle all over. Yes! Snively" Robotnik said "Sir?" Snively asks "Seal it" Robotnik said "Void energy diminishing, Sir" Snively said "Wha?" Robotnik asks "Encountering resistance, sir. Energy rising again" Snively said "Hold station. If it re-opens, close it. If anyone tries to escape, destroy them" Robotnik said.

*Inside The Void*

Sonic and Brody enter the Void "Way cool!" Sonic and Brody said as they land at Naugus' feet "Welcome, Sonic Hedgehog and Brody Wolf" Naugus said laughing "Hmm? Bunnie! Sally! Did you do this, pal?" Sonic asks as he and Brody see the froxen Bunnie and Sally "I assure you two, they're fine" Naugus said and frees Sally and Bunnie from the crystals "Sonic! Brody!" Sally said "Sugar-hog! Sugar-wolf!" Bunnie said "Yeah. You guys alright?" Brody asks "I require your services, Brody Wolf and Sonic Hedgehog. I wish to leave here" Naugus said "Be our guest, pal. That portal is shut down" Sonic said "Many years I struggled to uncover the secret of opening that portal. Now even Robotnik's devices can't stop me" Naugus said opening the portal and Sally leans over to Sonic and Brody "Sonic, Brody, he needs your speed; it's our only way out of the Void" Sally said "Let's kick it!" Sonic and Brody said as they grab Sally and Bunnie as they run past Naugus "Ahh, such superb speed" Naugus said ans form a crystal wall in their way "Hang on!" Sonic said as the two screech to a halt and Naugus laughs as another wall forms behind them "Wheel and deal time! Stand back, guys" Sonic and Brody said as they Super Spins into the crystal, breaking it  and the four look through the hole and gasp "Whew! Whoa..." Sonic said "It's beautiful" Sally said "A-yep. This is where I want my wedding" Bunnie said "Am I seeing things, or does this look like my father's castle?" Sally asks "Let's check it out" Brody said.

*Later at the Crystal Castle*

Brody, Sonic, Sally, and Bunnie gasp when they see King Maximillian on a bed "Oh my gosh. Daddy!" Sally said and runs to the bed "Are you all right?" Sally asks "Sally. I need your help" Maximillian said "Yes, of course. What?" Sally asks as Maximillian coughs "Are Sonic and Brody here?" Maximillian asks "Yes, your Majesty?" Sonic and Brody ask "Please. Take me from this place. I can fix everything. I'll explain outside the Void" Maximillian said "No prob, your Highness" Sonic said "But how do we get past Naugus?" Brody asks "His magic created all this. It's just illusion; we can leave from anywhere. Use your speed boys" Maximillian said coughing "Hurry, Sonic and Brody" Sally said "We'll be back, Sal. Hang on, Highness" Sonic and Brody said running out the void with him "Sally-girl, something funny is going on" Bunnie said when Ari arrived "I'm afraid you've been tricked, Princess" Ari said "Ari? I don't understand" Sally said "Naugus knew Sonic and Brody wouldn't help him, so he impersonated the King instead" Ari said and Sally gasps as Ari steps away to reveal the real King "Sally. It's really me, Sally" Maximillian said "Daddy!" Sally said and hugs him "Oh, daddy..." she said.

*At The Great Unknown*

Sonic and Brody leave the Void while carrying the Fake King "Hold on, your Highness! Incoming!" Sonic and Brody said "Sonic and Brody brought the King out, Sir!" Snively said "I saw, Snively; now close that portal!" Robotnik said "Ha, ha! We lost them, your Majesty" Sonic said "It is good..." Naugus said transforming back to normal "...to be free" He said "Yo, what's going on? How..." Brody said "I am in your debt, Brody Wolf and Sonic Hedgehog" Naugus said "That was way uncool, man! We are gonna..." Sonic and Brody said when Naugus traps them in crystal up to their necks "Hey!" Sonic said as he and Brody grunt trying to break free "Let us go!" Sonic and Brody said "You two should thank me. I'm going to get rid of Robotnik. What's that?" Naugus asks pointing at a surveillance orb "One of Robotnik's Spy Eyes" Brody said "Really?" Naugus asks.

*At the same time in Robotnik's Command Ship*

Brody, Sonic and Naugus are seen on the monitor "Can he see us now?" Naugus asks "Eee-yep" Sonic and Brody said "Greetings, Dr. Robotnik. Wanna play?" Naugus asks and Robotnik gasps.

*Back at the Great Unknown*

Naugus unfreezes Sonic and Brody "Save your friends, Sonic Hedgehog and Brody Wolf. I have work to do" Naugus said "Cool. Outta here!" Sonic and Brody said heading back into the Void "Welcome, Dr. Robotnik" Naugus said and cackles as Robotnik yelps walking out his ship "It's payback time" Naugus said laughing "It was an accident, Naugus. I didn't betray you. I swear it!" Robotnik said scared "Mmm...I'm not sure it's the right look for you, Doctor" Naugus said and uses his magic to turn Robotnik's head into the head of a slug "Nah...color doesn't match your eyes" Naugus said and snaps his fingers. Robotnik now has the head of a gorilla. Naugus snaps his fingers again, as Robotnik's head now looks like a crow's head. 

Moments later, Snively's monitor shows Robotnik with a pig's head "Oink, oink" Robotnik said "Now that is definitely you" Naugus said as Snively laughs until he falls over in his chair.

*Back in the Void*

"Where are Sonic and Brody? They should be back by now" Sally said "They'll be here" Bunnie said as Sonic and Brody return "Good ol' sugar-hog and sugar-wolf!" Bunnie said "Hedgehog and Wolf express! Let's kick this dump!" Sonic and Brody said.

*Back at the Great Unknown*

Robotnik still has the head of a pig, as he is making pig noises and is rooting around in the dirt when Naugus gasps "No! Aaagh!" Naugus said as his feet have turned into crystal "Enough of this game" Naugus said and changes Dr. Robotnik back to normal "Let's play Hide and Seek. You'll hide, and I'll seek. One... Two..." Naugus said closing his eyes "I didn't betray you!" Robotnik said "Three..." Naugus said "I swear it!" Robotnik said "Four... Five... Six..." Naugus said as Robotnik runs back to his ship "Get us out of here, Snively!" Robotnik said as they left "Seven... Eight... Nine... Ten!" Naugus said as Sonic and Brody arrive with the others " Yo! Robotnik's getting away!" Sonic and Brody said "Yes. I know" Naugus said "Sonic, Brody, look!" Sally said as Maximillian's legs turn into crystal "I'm turning to crystal. Naugus! What's happening?" Maximillian asks "We've been too long in the Void. We cannot exist in this world. I misunderstood the Void's properties. It's drawing our life-force. The only place I can control it is there. We must go back, or we'll die" Naugus said "Daddy... just when..." Sally said "Shh, child. Reach into my pocket. It lists all the Freedom Fighter groups. Find them" Maximillian said as Sally grabs the list "Somehow, we'll get you out, Daddy. I love you" Sally said "Good luck, your Majesty" Sonic and Brody said "Take care of her, Sonic and Brody" Maximillian said "I will return, Robotnik. I will be avenged" Naugus said "Goodbye, Sally" Maximillian said as the two return to the void.

*Later at Knothole*

"Think we'll be able to save the king?" Sonic asks "I'm sure we will, one day" Brody said as the two were walking holding hands "Yeah and plus, we got the Freedom Fighters list and Ari" Sonic said "True. You're right Sonic" Brody said "A rare ocassion" Sally said walking over "Hey, I'm always right" Sonic said "Not always" Sally said "Yeah, way; ask Nicole" Brody said "They're cool, Sal; way past cute couple" Nicole said "Sonic and Brody, what have you two done to her?" Sally asks "Come on, Sally" Sonic and Brody said "Yeah. Get a grip, Sal" Nicole said "Nicole!" Sally said as Sonic and Brody laugh and hold each other close as this chapter comes to an end.
