Avada Kedavara

With a scream and a thump, Bellartrix fell to the ground dead.

Then the battles began. Yelling, screams terror, flashes of colorful light, and squeals of pain filled the ballroom. The sounds blasted of the walls, echoing throughout the entire manor.

Draco ran over to Hermione and took her to a secluded section. He grabbed a hair tie that he happened to have in his pocket and tied her hair back, then checked her throat for any slits. He wiped her tears away and healed all of the small cuts on her neck and some bruises on her body, then went back to fighting.

"This is what happens when you don't listen, Draco." Lucius, who had gotten out of the Leg-Binding jinx, snarled as he strutted over to his only son.

He raised his wand high and opened his mouth to say the killing curse. Draco closed his eyes and fell on the floor, waiting for his father to kill him. He heard the gasp of air taken before he spoke the words, and knew it was all over.

"Avada Kedavara!"

Draco gasped and flinched as he saw green blinding light through his eyelids, but he never died. He cracked open one eyelid to see his father on the floor. He screamed and frantically stumbled back against the wall, scooting ferociously away.

Narcissa lowered her wand and stared in shock at Lucius' dead body. She looked at her terrified son, her heart breaking all over again. He hadn't looked so terrified ever since he was made a death eater.

What shocked her even more though—what really made her skin crawl and her eyes go as wide as quarters, what made the hair on the back of her neck stand straight up, what made her legs wobble and almost cause her to fall over, that's what really iced the cake and shocked her the most.

She turned slowly over to the person who casted the spell, and sat there in complete awe.

Ronald Weasley lowered his wand, looking at Lucius with disgust.
