"Will you be alright Toshinori?" Aizawa asked. Him, All Might, and Nezu had already made it back to the school. Nezu went back to his office since work had piled up while he was away, all the students were sent back to their dorms after they all got bandaged up, and all the hero staff were around the campus, too tired to do anything. The blonde nodded sadly as they walked to Class 1-A's dorm.

"Yeah. I'm just thinking of how I'm going to tell the class about Y/n. It's not like I can keep it a secret. They wouldn't let me anyways." He mumbled.

"Well, I suggest you  don't announce it to the class directly. You tell the whole school. Better yet, the whole world." All Might looked at Aizawa with wide eyes. "I'm just saying, if the world knows what she has done, it would not only ease down her bad publicity, it will make her a bigger role model to other people out of the school, and a hero in the eyes of the people."

"Yeah, but news helicopters were at the beach with us, it will be bad when they know that The League of Villains had control of her."

"That's the thing. Before I went to the facility with you guys for Y/n, I watched the news and saw that the news only arrived after your fight with her. They first saw Tsu bringing her out of the ocean, and then Y/n acting like a real pro hero, fighting the League and saving civilians, with only one arm. This is a major play in our favor. You have to do this."

He managed to persuade the hero and they headed to the school building instead. "All right, but we have to ask the Principal first, and if he says yes, then you have to do this with me."

"Ugh, fine. I'm only doing this for Y/n."

"Of course you are." He teases. They head to Principal Nezu who is going through calls like crazy and when he takes a pause, Aizawa explains his idea to him, to which, Nezu happily agrees, and tries to finish up his work. After a while, Nezu manages to get a press conference for the two, with Present Mic joining them. 

It starts at 7 that same night, live for the world to see. They quickly dressed in their suits and left for the broadcast. When they arrived, the air was frantic, and chaotic because of the reporters over flooding the room. The three heros sighed and went up to their chairs on the small stage.

At U.A's dormitories, Izuku and all his classmates were still in the lobby of their dorms when a hero's voice came over the intercom of the dorms to watch the news. Iida turned on the tv, and on every news station, was Present Mic, Eraserhead, and All Might, at a long table, ready to address the world. The students either sat or stood around the tv to listen as the volume was maxed out.

"Do you think this has something to do with Y/n?" Jiro wondered. Momo thought for a moment and shrugged.

"It could be. I mean, it was her, Shinso, and Midnight that were first attacked by the League, and no one knows how or why it was them. And Y/n is still missing too."

Mina raises a finger to her lips. "Shhhh! They're about to talk!" They hush and watch the screen. Izuku gnawed at his fingertips anxiously, worrying about his missing girlfriend. 

All Might speaks first. with a grave expression. "We came here today to announce a serious matter. Just 4 nights ago, the League of Villains had kidnapped and beaten a fellow hero and teacher from U.A while she was on patrol. Her name is Midnight. They used her to lure in a student and used her as ransom if he didn't do as they said, and with those two in their hands, they managed to use them as bait to bring someone out of the safety of the school. It was our new U.A Guard Dog, Y/n L/n." 

The reporters start throwing out questions, but he ignores them and keeps talking. "The League managed to trigger a domino effect with luring the right people out. When they got Y/n, they used her to bring me out, and follow them to the beach. There, is where a large fight happened between us all, and when word got out about the beach, heros were under way, but every hero in the area separated because the League sent diversions and distractions to keep others from intruding on their main mission. To kill me. Fortunately, Y/n was able to turn the tables on the League and managed to fight them off and together, everyone saved the city. Now to tell you and everyone watching...." 

The press was quiet and listened, as well as everyone in the dorm. "Because of Y/n's fight to save a U.A. Teacher and Student, her wounds became too much for her, and she lost her life to her injuries that same morning." Everyone in the room gasped in shock, and the world seemed to stand still in that moment for everyone listening. "Four days ago, right after the rescue search was over, she was found dead, still in her hero suit. She never gave up and didn't stop helping people, until her efforts took her last breath."

Izuku slapped his hands over his mouth and ran to the restroom, but didn't make it, and ended up puking all over the floor in the hall. He whimpered and sobbed, heaving every heavy breath until he was getting light headed. Struggling to stand, he walked with wobbly legs to his room, and lock himself in and screamed and cried out for his loved one's name. The others wanted to go after him, but no one knew what to do. 

Ochako fell into Mina's arms and sobbed uncontrollably as Todoroki dropped to his knees in disbelief. Iida sat on the couch and stared at the ground with wide eyes, hearing nothing but his heart beat in his ears. Jiro fell to the ground and clutched to Momo's leg crying while she watch on in horror. 

Katsuki shook his head in disbelief as Kirishima cried. No one could believe what they were hearing. 

The space in the room of the press conference was cold and heavy as the reporters stayed quiet, too stunned at his words to ask any questions. Almost a minute goes by quietly, as if everyone gives a moment of silence for the girl, and then Aizawa lifts his head with an angered look on his face as he glares into the cameras.

"How does it feel? I'm talking to those who said bad things about Y/n, who doubted her, and who ever thought that she was a danger to anyone. How does it feel to know that, that girl gave her life to save you and didn't once complain or think twice about it, and died alone? Huh?" The dark haired hero urged agrily, and sat back in his chair while All Might continued to stare at the ground.

"It feels disgusting." Present Mic answers, and all cameras turn to him. He removes his glasses and stares ahead at nothing. "It feels disgusting, because in the beginning, I was one of those people that doubted and didn't trust Y/n. That was, until she continuously proved herself to me and everyone else she knew, and got herself killed. But people always condemned her for what she did. 

As a 5 year old, she killed so many people at the Pier Massacre. But it was because she was scared, she didn't know what she was doing with her quirk, and she was being sold at an auction full of villains. Because of that, crime in the city was cut down by 65% for 3 years. Yet no one cares to bring that up......

When she was 10, when Tartarus was down, she was the one that keeped every villain she could from escaping, and never took that opportunity to get away, and was punished by the guards for that, but eh, who cares, right? 

She kills the villains trying to kill her and the other students, and holds off a Nomu that breaks into the U.S.j.......

Then she saves her fellow classmates during camp training out in the woods, and gets kidnapped and almost killed in the process......

Finally, she saves the city by taking on the head of the League of Villains, and after rescuing people, she dies.........." The room is quiet. "Thing is....I don't even know if anyone even thanked her while she was doing it, like the other students and heros did.....I certainly wish I did.....I wish.....I wish I thanked her...and told her how proud I am of her......she was like a little sister to all staff...." The loud hero was now whimpering quietly as tears welled up in his eyes, clenching his hands into tight fists, and lost his voice to speak as he tried to hold back his tears by biting his lip, but failing. All Might put a hand on his shoulder, and raised his head with a sad look on his face.

"Yes, Y/n has killed before, and even though they were villains, some think that it's no excuse. But even so," He looks into the cameras with a knowing look. "someone has to do it. If not her then who? Y/n has taken on the role of U.A's Guard Dog because she knew that it meant not only protecting the school and others, but also, going out and doing the work that no other hero wants to do. Being a hero can get ugly, and even though people don't like what she did, it was for the lives of students that had families, and citizens who still have more to do with their lives, and no one likes it, but it's for the peace and future of your kids, grandkids, and for many generations to come. She took that burden. So to not let your hopes down, we're here to finish with our last announcement. Y/n L/n, also known as Conviction, is not dead." The reporters jumped and raised their mics, finally asking questions like before, but again, All Might and the other two ignore them. 

Aizawa sits up and leans on the table. "We did not lie, Y/n died, but she was only dead for 47 minutes before she was taken to a facility where she was brought back to life, and is currently recovering from her injuries. Her status will be kept confidential until further notice." The three stand up together and glared into the cameras.

"It's not over yet. So give us all you got you low life criminals, because as long as Y/n fights, so will we. We will take revenge on you for what you did to her. And we just want you yo know that you don't stand a chance." All Might warned, glaring into the camera, and with that, they left, leaving the press screaming questions at them and trampling over each other to go after them and failing.

Everyone in the lobby of the dorm was cheering and parading over the fantastic news of their friend. Agreeing someone should tell Izuku, they agreed it to be Iida and Todoroki's job to do it since they hang out the most. Ochako was going to join them, but fainted in Mina's arms at the extreme roller coaster of emotions.

When the two arrived at Izuku's room, they knocked but all they heard was his cries and sobs over Y/n. Todoroki tried to open the door, but found it was locked. Against Iida's character, he decided to kick in the door, breaking off a part of the door and knob. Izuku looked up from the corner of his bed, still shaking, his face leaking liquids from every orifice. The green haired boy tried to yell and scream at them to get out while Todoroki tried to calm him down, but Iida got frustrated and kicked him in the face sending him across the room. A moment of silence filled the room as he tried to stand, clutching to his now bloody nose.

"Will you listen you imbecile!? Y/n is not dead anymore! She's alive!" Iida yelled. Izuku jolted and looked up at him with wide eyes. "And I'm not lying. She was dead for 47 minutes, but she's being kept in some secret facility, and was brought back to life. That is all we know. Apparently everything else is confidencial. But she's going to be fine." He finished explaining. 

"R-e...Really?" He whispers quietly and Todoroki smiles with a nod.

"Yes. Present Mic, Mr. Aizawa, and All Might said it on the news just now. You'll have to ask them if you want to know more when they get back. So don't worry." He explains. Izuku smiles widely and sighs out tiredly, falling to his bottom on the floor. "Now come on. Go clean up your nose and join us in the lobby." He agrees and the three leave the room, apologizing to each other for everything and joining the others as they wait for their teachers to return.
