Part 56
(Your P.O.V)
I wake the next morning and stretch with a long yawn and get up. Only half an hour passes as I finish with my morning routine and grab my favorite drink from my fridge then head down to the dorms to see the some of my classmates simply relaxing on the couches and lounge chairs before we have to head out. Not everyone was here yet.
Katsuki and Kirishima were at one end of a couch, leaning on each other's shoulders with a slight blush, looking into their own phones. Whatever they were texting about, it made Katsuki jolt with an annoyed look that wasn't fooling anybody because of the dark blush covering his face as he tried to play it off by being on his phone. Kirishima just smiled widely at his reaction and chuckled.
On the other end of their couch was Jiro and Kaminari listening to music together by sharing earphones. Kaminari was looking over some music sheets, occasionally jotting something down every now and then as Jiro was writing in a music journal.
On the other couch, Mina and Ochako were asleep on one end. While Ochako sat up right, her head rested on the back of the couch as she snored away. Mina was laid out across the couch with her head in her lap as she snored away as well, a small snot bubble growing big and small with her breaths.
At the end of Mina's feet, was Tsu looking at her phone with a small blush. Looking over, I notice it was photos and interviews of Midnight on her phone that she was going through, and it made me fangirl a bit. Not gonna lie.
To my absolute joy, I saw the ruff of dark green hair swaying sporadically over the top of one of the recliners. Quietly, while no one has noticed me yet, I sneaked over from behind and leaned over the side. My handsome boyfriend's face was filled with intrigue and wonder as he vigorously wrote in the notebook from the time beginning of the school year when I thought he liked Ochako. It was different from the other study books and hero journals he has because this one was black with blue lined designs on it with even a lock and key.
Slyly reaching over, I tapped a finger on his shoulder, making him jolt as he quickly hid the book, and turned his head towards me. When we locked eyes, his face turned red as his eyes nearly seemed to shine with an overjoyed smile. His reaction made my heart race as I failed at fighting the heat that rushed towards my face.
"Y-Y/n, good morning!" He exclaimed with his cute smile. I grinned and raised a finger to shush him and gestured to a still sleeping Ochako who slightly stirred and Mina, who's snot bubble just popped, but she stayed asleep. I just direct my attention back to Izuku.
"Morning Izu, do you mind if I sit with you?" I asked. He glanced around and noticed he was only in a chair and stared sadly at the only other empty chair that was directly across the center table from him, seemingly too far for his liking.
"Yeah, here, I'll get up and you can have this seat, I'll just stand here-" As he went to get up, I placed a hand on his shoulder and gently pushed him back in his seat as he wore a confused look.
"That's not necessary. I'll just sit here." I smiled. Carefully, I sat down sideways in his lap so I could look at him clearly, and his face, neck, and ears were completely red as I felt his body shake under me. "You don't mind do you? I didn't want you to get up just for me, and the other chair was too far."
He shook his head vigorously. "No, I-I don't mind at all." Getting situated, he hesitantly brought my legs closer into him with a gentle hand and held me close as we relaxed together.
"Hey Izu?"
"Yes?"
"What is that notebook you were writing in?" He stiffened a bit. "Is it like your diary or another hero book?" I asked.
"O-oh, that...uh." He sighs and I feel bad for pushing.
"Never mind. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."
"N-no, I'll show you." He says and reaches behind him to get it again. "It's not a huge secret thing really- well, to everyone else yeah, but you have a right to know." Bringing his arms back around me, he shows it to me with a nervous wavering smile. "It's kind of embarrassing though. I hope you don't think it's creepy." Handing it over he watches me anxiously as I get a closer look at it. The cover was smooth and almost leather-like with a large silver C drawn on it. Since he hadn't locked it, I opened it to the first page. It said...
C
Hero Name: Conviction/Convict
My Classmate
My Close Friend
My Hero
The Love of My Life
I smiled as my heart seemed to skip a beat. The next pages after that were information about my quirk, the way it works, how I used it, my fighting styles with it, and a general outline of me as a hero, all in extreme detail, just like the other heros in his other hero books.
Two thick plastic dividers made three sections in the book. Skipping the quirk section to the next, it was about me as a person and personal notes of his. It held personal info about me only he and some of our friends would know, like my favorite color, number, vehicle, animal, likes, dislikes, etc. The notes were points on what makes me happy, and the littlest things I do that even I never notice. Going through some of the other pages, they held sudden daily paragraphs with elaborate expression of his regular thoughts of me that made the feeling of blood rush to my face and below my stomach as I read the 'things' he thought and wanted to do to me. When he noticed what was on the pages, he nearly screamed as he ripped the book out of my hands and flipped through the pages with a red face, scared eyes, and profuse sweating. I just giggled at his reaction and waited as I fanned my hot face. When he was done and checked to see if it as okay for me to look, with a relieved sigh he handed it back. I looked and saw it was the last section. It was of my fighting styles and techniques I use without my quirk. With the descriptions came some great sketches of me fighting.
"Wow, these are really amazing Izuku. When did you do all this?"
He scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "Ha, well, I started to document you in my books along with our other classmates and heros, but after your first practice fight with All Might and the other pro heros, I knew there was way more to you, and I was running out of space in the other journals anyways, so I just got a fancy journal I had my eye on in a store for a while and drew on the 'C'. So I used my allowance to buy it and dedicated it to you since it is kind of like your hero costume in a way too. I hope you don't think it's too creepy."
I shook my head. "No, I don't think it's creepy at all. It's really amazing how smart and observant you are when it comes to this stuff, including the drawings. I'm honored babe, really. Keep going." He blushed as he tilted his head away, hiding his eyes with his hair.
"M-My ple-pleasure." He mumbles shyly.
"Oh give me a break." I hear Katsuki mumble under his breath, but I ignore him.
"Here," I reach into my bag and retrieve a pencil. "I'll add in some things to help." With Izuku's excited nod of approval, we sat there for several minutes with his arms around me as he snuggled his face into my hair while he watched me add some helpful fighting styles I haven't used yet and some he didn't get to list with detailed explanation and sketches. Later on, the rest of the class.
"Ugh! Rub it in our faces that we're single why don't you!" Sero cries as Mineta immediately sulks in the corner at the sight of all of us. This woke up Ochako and Mina in a groggy haze, making me laugh. Getting all our things, we left the dorm and made it to class on time. Aizawa, still looking as tired as always, stood beside the podium and talks to the class about our next event.
"All right everyone, you will be working towards obtaining your provisional hero licenses." Everyone started to get riled up and excited, even Iida, but when he looked at Aizawa and his annoyed expression and quickly hushed the class. "Now, let me mention the difficulty of the exam. It has a roughly 50% passing rate, which is why this class will be spending time developing ultimate moves. Go change into your hero costumes and meet at Gym Gamma to begin training. When you all are done, I'll explain its importance on the way."
We rush out and gear up in our costumes and listen to Aizawa as he explains how hard this test will be going against other schools while we headed to the gym. On our way, I heard what sounded like an angry mob at the gates of the school, but because they were up I couldn't see them so I tried to hear what they were saying.
"Let me in! I want my son! You can't have a criminal in there and expect me to let her walk freely around him!" A man yells.
"What kind of school lets a convict around other students?!"
"You guys are idiots if you think she won't kill the other students!"
"She's a monster!"
"A villain!"
"A Murderer!"
As the screams of anger continued from beyond the wall, I started to tear up, knowing they were definitely talking about me. There was no way they were talking about anyone else. My secret was exposed.
A large hand came up and rested on my head. It was Aizawa, who had only his eyes showing over his scarf, looking down at me with a sad empathetic look in his eyes. Without a word, he pushed me forward very slightly by the back of my head to keep me moving and looking forward as we all continued to walk to the Gym. Izuku held my hand as he rubbed a thumb in one spot to get my mind off of it while some of the others stayed close around me and Katsuki glared at the gate in hate as he clenched his teeth.
With the support all around me, I cheered up, and brushed the stinging new tears from my face and put on a smile.
