"You used your fire with Izuku, what makes me any different?" I smirk. He gets mad and blasts a blizzard my way again. I deflect it back with a vibrating wall of pressure. He is enclosed with a thick skin of his own ice. He breaks out and everything around him starts melting quickly. Steam emitting off of his skin. "That's more like it." I smile. 

"Y/n don't!" I hear my boyfriend's voice off in the stands of the other students, but I ignore him this time. I notice Todoroki still hesitant. 

"Oh come on, your quirk does not define you, it's what you do with it that does. Make your quirk your own. If you don't, and keep up like this, then you prove..." I lean forward for him to listen, "that you're just as stubborn and foolish as your father." That gets him. His entire left side is engulfed in red flames. His face is contorted with anger. 

"I am NOTHING like him!" He growls.

I get to the ground and gesture him forward. "Well prove it then." He wastes no time lifting his left arm and blasting a huge wave of fire my way. I swirl a spinning pressure dome around me, causing the hot flames to go around me, but I wasn't quick enough and parts of my shirt caught fire. I'd smack them away, but he attacks faster this time. I run up and slide under him and kick up at his back. 

He gets knocked over but blasts down on me with fire again. I deflect it which he cancels it out by using his ice side. I get up as he burns the arena floor. I jump high and create another platform several feet in the air, slam down the air pressure again, but he makes another ice column. I think he's about to attack until spears of ice shoot at me from the ground. The flames are now extinguished but now the arena is completely littered with sharp ice spears sticking out of the ground. Once again, still stuck in the air.  

'I can't keep going like this! If I do, I'm going to push my limits too far, I can't do that with this many people here!' I growl to myself. This is what All Might warned me about. I'm starting to laugh uncontrollably. So far that's the only problem I have. I can still control most of what I do, but still. I look back and was hit with another wave of fire. It hit me this time. I stumble back on the platform, but I'm still up. 'I have to make sure I don't do any of the dangerous attacks, no matter what happens!' I build up pressure all over my body this time and run forward. I jump off my platform and start to fight him on the ice column. We fight in hand to hand combat for a long time. I couldn't feel all the injuries I had right now, but I was growing tired, and so was he. 

"End this." I growl. He notices what I said and stares at me strangely as we keep fighting. No one else can hear us from up here. "If this keeps up...." My vision starts to change and things start to look like it all came out of a horror story. "....I'm gonna go insane. I won't be able to hold back anymore...please, stop me." Though I feel the wide smile that even grossed me out, I felt the hot tears run down my face. "HAHA!" I scream. I feel myself about to do the worst and lose control until I'm suddenly knocked back towards the column, and feel myself beginning to fall. He used his fire blast me, and uses one last ice blast to finish. The cold air quickly freezes my body stiff, and I feel myself plummeting. Like a cold and quiet sleep, I drift away, until I was brutally awoken by a cold yet burning pain. Then I immediately blackout. The last thing I hear is Izuku screaming my name in terror and the crowd falling silent. 

(Izuku's P.O.V)

I watch her fall as I scream her name, and it felt like everything slowed down. Her clothes were burnt and every part of her exposed skin was littered with cuts and bruises and burns. Blood was leaking down her mouth and forehead. And as soon as she hit the side of an ice spike she was cut on the leg by a sharp protruding piece of ice and hit the ground too far in the woods of ice for us to see. She made no sound, and the crowd went quiet as we heard her hit the ground violently. There, Midnight and Cementos ran in to see her condition. Soon after, Recovery Girl was brought out. We heard a lot of rustling down there until they ran out with her on a stretcher, her entire body covered in a blanket. The other students didn't get a blanket like her. They must want to hide what ever happened to her, from the public. My blood ran cold, and as soon as that hit me, I jump up and run as fast as I can towards the nurses office. 

(Todoroki's P.O.V)

A few minutes had passed since l/n was taken away, covered on a stretcher. I was thawing out all the ice as fast as I could as Midnight came back out to the field. My heart was racing so fast from the anxiety of what I possibly did to my classmate.

 She told me to stop her, but I should have done it more carefully and differently, instead of quickly out of anger and adrenaline. When the arena was cleared and Midnight pulled me off the arena, Cementos began to fix the ground again.

"Alright everyone, we have an announcement to make." She calls out over the crowd. "L/n Y/n is just fine, she is being treated and is currently healing quickly. We have spoken with her, and she says these words. 'The rules should not have to change because of my recklessness. Todoroki Shouto has won fair and square, and I wish for the rest of the sports festival to continue till the end.'" She gripped my hand and raised it into the air. "Todoroki is the winner, and will move on the the final round!" half of the crowd boos' while the other half cheers. I couldn't blame them.  "Don't look so down kid." Midnight smiles down to me. "Y/n will be here at the end. She's okay, and she's not upset with you." I nod, but I'm still not satisfied. I want to see her, but I can't until later. 

(Your P.O.V) /A little before/

I wake up with a stretch and yawn, then wince with the stinging pain in my leg. "Ah hell!" I hiss in pain. 

"Y/N!!!" I was tackled back down by someone. I look and see Izuku's hair bouncing around excitedly in my face. I giggle and play with it while he hugs me. 

"Get off of her Deku! We want to see her too!" He gets up and I see Ochako, Yaoyorozu, Mina, Tsu, Jiro, Hagakure, Midnight, and All Might. The girls jumped over and hugged me in joy.

"We thought you were dead!" Mina cried

"Totally! I fainted in the stands as soon as I heard the sound of you hitting the ground!" Ochako sniffled.

Yaoyorozu nodded. "She did."

"You were amazing out here! You had me at the edge of my seat." jiro and Tsu agreed.

"Me too!" Hagakure jumped.

I laughed, normally this time, at my friends comments. "I'm sorry to have scared you all. It was a dozy for me too."

"Y/n." Midnight stepped up. "The crowd is concerned for you out there. What do you want to do?"

I shrugged. "Todoroki won fair and square. Just tell them I'm fine and to continue with the festival. I don't want this all to stop on my account. Make me sound cool and professional though." I joke. She rolls her eyes with a smile, ruffles my hair, and walks to the door.

"If you can make jokes like that, then you are fine. Come on girls, you can't all be here. Get back to your stands." They all groan an okay and walk out after her. It was just me All Might and Izuku. All Might transformed back to his weaker form, closed the curtain around my bed and sat on a chair. We sat there in silence until he broke it.

"What happened?"
