Part 12
(Midoriya's P.O.V)
After they left, Recovery Girl took our vitals and approved that we were free to go.
"You're fine now, just don't over work yourself today and get plenty rest in bed. Preferably in your own and not in my emergency bed." She joked. Y/n gave a beautiful smile and giggled, making me blush.
"Yes ma'am. I will."
"And you too son. Don't rush yourself in any way. You need to be careful with your head, so don't listen to music too loud for the rest of the day or use any type of head device."
I nodded. "Yes ma'am."
We got dressed behind our own curtains and left the office together, heading back to the class. The walk was awkwardly quiet. I looked at her. She only had bandages on her legs from the gunshot wounds, but they were covered by her socks. Small cuts on her face and lands were slowly healing from the rocks that were flying through the air during battle. If you look at her, it doesn't even look like she was in a fight. She's pretty hard core.
"Why?" She spoke, I jolted from surprise.
"W-Why what?"
She looks at me in confusion. "Why did you run into the fight? You could have died if I didn't stop."
I thought for a moment. "H-honestly, my body just moved on it's own. I seem to be doing that a lot lately. But I guess if I had to claim a motive though, it would be that...I-I couldn't see you get hurt any more. Especially seeing you two hurting each other was very conflicting." I looked back to her, I thought I saw red on her face, but I might be seeing things. "But you, you protected me too. Why?"
"Just like your reasoning. I didn't want you to get hurt." My heart fluttered a bit by that. We continued to walk in more silence. Then curiosity hit me.
"When you reach the limit of your quirk, what happens to you? The attacks you did seemed really intense, and you seemed to snap so..." I asked. She sighed.
"Yeah. As you saw, I can tell when I'm reaching my limit when I lose my sanity. Each time I do, it takes a toll on me. I'm not like other people with quirks. If they use it too much, something will happen with their bodies that tells them when to stop. I'm able to keep going. Just because I go insane, doesn't mean I have to stop, though I should. The insane part of me won't want to stop though, that's the down side of my quirk. When I let go, I can't be stopped. Though, I guess I can if I use my bigger attacks, as I've learned today. I seemed to have passed out." What happened was starting to make sense. "But this time was different. I came down from my usual limits. All when you showed up." She looked me in the eye and smiled. "I guess you keep me sane." My heart skipped a beat and I felt the blood rush to my face too quickly. I covered my face quickly and turned away, looking everywhere nervously, and tried to breathe normally again as there was a tightening in my chest. "I-Izuku, are you okay?" She said my name with concern and touched my back. I squealed and jumped, crumbling to the floor.
'Why?! Why do I always make a fool of myself?'
"U-uh, y-yeah! I just n-need to lay here for a moment."
She giggled, the feeling of butterflies fluttered in my stomach again. "Well, I guess it's a good place to rest, we made it to the class."
"O-oh, you go on ahead. I just need to b-breathe for a moment."
"Okay, see you inside." And with that she walked in.
'Why am I like this?? What is she doing to me?!'
(Your P.O.V)
'I wonder if that's a normal thing for him.' I walk into the class and was bombarded with questions from the other students.
Mr. Aizawa shushed the class. "Quiet everyone. Y/n, how are you feeling?"
"I'm doing fine, how are you?"
"I'm good. Just some scrapes. Stand here." I obey and stand by the podium next to him. "I want you to answer some questions that we have as a subject of the battle strategy unit. Tell me, what was your plan when you started?" Intrigue laced in his voice other than anger, which is what I was not expecting, considering I threw him through the air like a rag doll.
"I thought you would have canceled my quirk, so while everyone was still down, I took the opportunity to take you down, and deal with the others separately, because even though All Might is strong, I can't go up against him without my quirk, so I saw you as the main threat."
He closed his eyes and nodded. "Thinking ahead of time to strategize against me, I'm glad you know how to do that so early, especially after seeing what my quirk is just today. You can all learn from this experience everyone." Izuku walked in and sat down at his seat looking down at the table.
"Make sure you're are paying close attention. Midoriya." Mr. Aizawa called out to him. Izuku jolted up and nodded, giving the front his full attention.
Uraraka raised her hand. "It's about your quirk. What was that first move you did with the blue dome thing?"
"That was a move I use to get some good space between me and the enemy by sending their attacks back at them."
"But the impact of everyone that hit it looked way more crazy than what it originally was. What was that?"
"It was one of the ways I use pressure. I don't only control the change in the atmosphere, but I can manipulate it into an actual shape and move it at different speeds. The deflection was greater than the original impact because I sped up the movement of the field." Uraraka looked amazed and nodded, humming to herself in thought. Iida was the next to shoot his hand up. "Yes?"
"When you mean moving back and forth, do you mean you can move it in specific distances?"
"Yeah, like centimeters, inches, feet, and so on. The bigger the attack, the greater the damage."
Kirishima raised his hand next. I nodded him on. "The second time All Might tried to attack you, you shot up in the air. How?"
"I used the pressure on my side and manipulated it to basically throw my body in any direction I need it to. It can hurt me if I don't do it right though."
Jiro was next. "That big platform you jumped on after you got knocked off All Might by Present Mic, what was that?"
"A different type of technique I use to manipulate my quirk. I heighten the air pressure below me into a plate and then used the previous move to deflect me off of it as hard as I needed to to go a certain speed. It takes a lot of energy to focus it into an actual solid form."
"Cool."
"Very."
The two color haired boy, who I learned his name was Todoroki, raised his hand. "What was that first punch attack against Aizawa in the beginning?"
"It's a kind of stunning attack that I use mainly use on stronger opponents, I build up pressure into a fist and swing it into a punch to power it forward. It will get bigger the farther it goes, like a snowball rolling down a snowy hill."
Yaoyorozu. "How did you know how to catch the bullets before they even went off?"
I scratched my head. "Well...that I got from my parents."
"Your parents?"
"Yeah. My family was not one to have the same quirks as their parents. Each person would have a different quirk as far as I know. Though we did have some similarities passed down. My mother's quirk was called, Feral. She could use the abilities of any animal in the world, and from that, I got the side effect of 'instinct'. My father had the quirk of Premonition. He was able to see the future. I got the side effect of 'foresight'. All this would lead me to do things without needing to think sometimes. I guess you could call it prediction"
Asui. "How did you catch the bullets with your hands in the first place?"
"I concentrated such intense pressure in my hands to make a glove-like layer of protection. The pressure would slow it down substantially without it hitting me."
"And you used that vibration move to shoot them back?"
"Exactly."
"Alright, we have 3 minutes of class left, one last question." Mr. Aizawa mumbled as he wrapped himself in his sleeping bag. Mineta was the last to raise his hand. I didn't want to hear what he wanted to say because of the weird look on his face, but no one else was raising their hand.
"Yeah?"
"What happened in the cloud of smoke when Midoriya ran in? We heard you two calling each other's names and then you were unconscious on top of him."
Flashes of him holding me and me on top of him ran through my mind. I looked towards Izuku and blushed as he looked me in the eyes and began to quietly freak out at his desk. His face was red and began sweating profusely.
"N-nothing happened. I was just fighting. That was it." I looked to the ground trying to fight the heat that wanted to rush to my face.
"Don't tell me Midoriya is getting more action from a girl than I am!" Mineta whimpered and cried in his seat.
