Yet, I am writing this for the sole and express purpose of helping you to improve your story on Wattpad. I am writing this for people who truly write because they love it, and also for those who I know have great ideas yet do not receive a lot of recognition but still do not mind because they know that it isn't about how many people read. It is about writing and providing a way for people to relate to a problem, or character and to enjoy what they read.

You have to pretend to be them, a reader. You need to pretend you are reading your story for the first time and are evaluating yourself.

For example: The first things your anyone will see is your cover. You must ask yourself this: "Does my cover temp readers to click onto my story?" Remember to ask yourself the same type of question for the next few parts.

• The first anyone will read is your title. I have seen that although this isn't generally as important as the cover it is still a big part of what readers take into account while deciding whether or not to read a story.

• The third and probably most important piece is your description.

Countless times I have experienced a book that had a great cover and title but a terrible description, I turned it away and never looked back.

A great description is a huge part of creating a great story. To me, the most engaging descriptions are those with dialogue excerpts from one of the book's chapters.

The final challenge is keeping your readers.

Let's say they saw your story and loved it so much they began reading, that is something worth celebrating. It means you've cracked the code of: covers, titles, and descriptions.
