Chapter 8: Never underestimate a Hiccup

Viggo

As I was in my base, I was thinking about that boy that I had encountered with Stoick the Vast. He seemed so determined to get him out to safety, but why? And why does he had a dragon with him at his side?

As I was thinking, some fires were heard in the village and I was very mad of the commotion outside.

"What is going on here?!? Where are the Berkians?!?" I demanded as I saw two troublemakers having so much fun of destroying all of our supplies and spreading fire out of control.

"This is very fun, don't you think, Skylar?" One of the girls asked, who was riding on a Nadder.

The girl, Skylar said, "Indeed it has, Skylar! Oh, look! It has to be Viggo, right?"

Emma said, "Yeah, it's fun!"

"Stay away from those!" I yelled, going to the teens and try to stop them from destroying all our supplies for our Dragon Hunters.

Emma said, "I think our diversion worked. Hiccup, he's all yours."

Wait, it was all a set up?!?

Hiccup came in with his Dragon.

"Huh, you know someone who had a village under control for a year, you really had some anger issues."

Hiccup

Hm, it seems like my idea actually worked! Viggo was irate at he was being tricked by Dragon Trainers, which seems that it was kind of the person he really is.

Berk was my home, and I had to do what was right for the Berkians and their Chief, who decided it was best for all of Berk to banish me out of the tribe, just because I was different from the other Vikings and did the impossible: To train and befriend a Dragon, which is forbidden ever since I can remember.

But there is one thing that they never understand was that is to never underestimate a Hiccup.

Viggo said, "Well, Hiccup, isn't? I still don't understand that you fight for Berk? Why?

I chuckled at the man's confusion. "You really don't have a clue of who I really am, don't you?"

"And what would you be?" He asked me with sudden curiously.

I replied to him with a smile, "I am Hayden Haddock the Third, but you can call me Hiccup. I was born here and I was the son of the Chief Stoick the Vast."

He suddenly laughs, "You?!? I thought that Stoick didn't have a son!"

I said, "It's been a dark secret that my identity wasn't revealed to Tames and Dragon Paradise for a year.

But it does taught me one thing since living in Dragon Paradise. It was to never be afraid of who you truly are. Never underestimate a Hiccup."

I unleash my sword from my side and the battle for Berk has truly begun as Toothless commands the other wild dragons to fight the Dragon Hunters.

The battle felt like I been doing it for ages. There were swords clashing against one other, and I can hear people screaming of the sight of their love ones defending Berk, leading to their deaths.

"Hiccup, behind you!" Ingrid had said, as she pushes me aside and she fell into the ground!

I could tell she was wounded, mostly because of the fresh cut on her hip.

I was mad at what Viggo had done.

Toothless sees my anger and without second to spare, I immediately climbed into the Night Fury's saddle and flew in to get a better shot at the person who hurt my best friend.

Stoick

As far I can see, there is a point to never get Hiccup on his bad side. I see his determination and anger in his eyes.

"Ok, that is one Viking I never seen before." Gobber said, awe of how angry he was of someone hurting someone he cares about.

Tames said, "Trust me, you don't want to be in Hic's bad side, one time, he was mad at the Dragon Trainers that scared them for a week."

I was depressed that hearing that Hiccup found himself a home and felt belonged there. Was he really deciding to go back to Dragon Paradise after all of this is over?

Tames said, "You should talk to the boy. You're his father once. Try to be that man again, but this time listen to what he has to say and be gentle."

"It seems like he'll never let me try to since what I've said to him, Tames. He wouldn't accept my apology."

He raised an eyebrow at me as if he was not convinced .

"Stoick, how would you know if you don't give it a try?"

Was it really worth a try, even what I had said to force him out?

As I saw my own son, I noticed that a Thunderdum was in trouble.

"Hey, Stay away from him!" I said, defending the creature.

The Blue Thunderdum saw of how I was determined to save me, it came towards me and raises his head as a sign of Trust.

I touched the snout and in that moment something changed my mind. These dragons weren't dangerous at all. They were misunderstood.

I climbed into my new Dragon's back and I flew to help Hiccup and Toothless. Both Rider and Dragon were in total shock that I was riding on a Dragon.

"What the- Stoick?!?" Hiccup said, dumbstruck of what he has seen.

I said to the seventeen year old, "We can discuss this later, Hiccup. What you want us to do?"

"We go to Viggo and hit him with everything we got from our Dragons. It requires all the Dragon Riders."

Emma said, "Like or not, We're with you until the very end."

Hiccup smiles at her. "Thanks, Emma. It really meant a lot coming from you and from now on, no more cleaning up the Academy. I think you two girls learnt your lesson."

Viggo declared, "You would never beat me!"

"Not if we got anything to say about it!" Hiccup replies back, and puts out his shield.

"What's a shield going to help us?" I asked.

"It's not just a shield, Stoick." Hiccup grins as it reveals to be an Ornate Shield!

"Ok, that is something you don't see every day!" Snoutlout said in awe.

And he was right.
