Sohan creased his forehead as Rahela shook her head harder, pushing away the spoon from her mouth.

"No more," she complained like a five-year-old, but Sohan filled the spoon with more soup, and pushed it against her lips.

"Please, ma! At least finish this!" he forced her. The clock on the wall of the hospital cabin said eleven, way past the time of his mother's dinnertime, but she wouldn't eat. However, Sohan had managed to force some of the food to her stomach, hoping that they would replenish some of her lost energy.

Rahela mopped her mouth with a piece of damp cloth, and Sohan helped her to lie down with a lot of difficulty. She had sustained a major injury in her waist, making her unable to do anything.

"I'm sorry," Rahela grabbed her son's hand as he tucked her in.

"Why?" Sohan sat down beside her, holding her hands as strongly as he could.

"I ruined your trip," Rahela replied guiltily. Sohan sighed.

"Ma, the trip was by no means more important than your health!"

Rahela didn't reply to this, and suddenly was lost in the muddled thoughts inside her head. Sohan kept watching her, hoping she would fall asleep. The doctor had said that she needed proper sleep and care to recover soon, or else she might face serious problems provided her age.

"Ma, you have to come with me," Sohan suddenly spoke his mind.

"Where?" Rahela turned her face towards her son.

"With me, to my house."

Rahela stared at him, her expression unreadable. Sohan knew that she had been thinking about Ruchita. She knew that she still didn't hold any place or respect in Ruchita's heart. In fact, if she were to expect something, it would be pure hatred.

"But..." Rahela started, but she didn't know what to say.

"No buts. I'm taking you home tomorrow morning," Sohan stood up and pulled his phone out; he needed to inform Ruchita.
