Chapter 18 ~ Siblings 2.0
Third Person Perspective

(Y/n) would've slept till the afternoon if it wasn't for Splendor waking her up for breakfast. The girl complied, but Splendor carried her down the stairs, for she could barely stand from how tired she still was.
A glass of (f/d) and a healthy breakfast helped wake her up though. (Y/n) kept asking Splendor about Kai, saying that she wanted to see him. Even though the girl was begging, even using puppy eyes, he was still hesitant.
Splendor didn't know how he felt about bringing her over. He didn't want the killers to pull anything or even his brothers. Looking between her and his empty plate, he sighed and gave in.
"Alright. We'll go to my brother's house to find your brother." (Y/n) gave a squeak of excitement then ran off to change. Splendor sighed, worried. He cleaned up and made himself decent as well.
Splendor could only think of all the possible things that could happen to her. All of the more eccentric killers would love to scare her. She was quite easy to scare. Though, if her brother is there, he'd be quite protective of her. Maybe she could stick around Sally.
He hoped Jeff wouldn't stab her again and promised himself that he'd keep Jeff away from her. He'd also have to try to keep her away from when Jeff and Jane when they go at each other. Maybe Masky and Hoodie would be alright with her. Weirded out by her at most. Maybe Toby would be better though. She needs someone who'll let her be a child.
Splendor soon saw (Y/n) come down the stairs. She was wearing a white off the shoulder cropped top and black jeans that hugged her perfectly. She also wore a black ribbon around her neck and had her hair (style) along with light makeup. She had a side bag on, but Splendor didn't ask, assuming she was doing what Trender does. Just wearing one because it matches.
"Ready?" Splendor asked, though he knew the answer.
"Yup!" She said, excited to see her brother. She grabbed Splendor's hand and he teleported them outside of Slender's mansion.
"Alright. Before we go in, make sure you stay near me, one of my brothers, or your brother." Splendor laid out the rules, which (Y/n) nodded to. Splendor hesitated again before knocking on the door. When it opened he saw Slender.
"Splendor? And (Y/n). I assume you're looking for Kai." Slender said, allowing them entry. They entered.
"Yes sir." (Y/n) said, calmly, eyeing the place, searching with her eyes.
"He's not here. Him and Toby went out to do something for me. They should be back soon. If you'll stick around." Slender explained, prompting (Y/n) to look at Splendor, knowing he was the one who made the rules for her staying at this house.
"Ok." Splendor said, though he sounded unsure. (Y/n) smiled at him, one which he couldn't help but return. She then stepped up to Slender.
"Could you show me around...? I've only been here once..." (Y/n) asked softly. Slender nodded and began to give a tour, Splendor following until Sally called him elsewhere.
Finally alone with Slender, other people started going up to her, making her stick close to Slender, she sometimes held his hand when she got super nervous when people would come in groups. She talked fine with them, but that didn't change the fact she was scared. Slender gently squeezed her hand in response to her fear-filled action.
"If you'd excuse us. I have a tour to finish." Slender said, a silent demand in his words.
"Is she staying here?" Ben asked.
"Why's she holding your hand? Isn't she like 14?" Jane asked.
"Is she single?" Jeff asked.
"No. She's 15 and she can. And finally. Jeff you need to leave (Y/n) alone. You've already attacked her once and if you do it again, you'll be in greater trouble than last time." With that, Ben left with a pout, Jane rolled her eyes when she left, and Jeff gulped and walked away.
(Y/n) let go of his hand now that they were gone. She felt a little pathetic after hearing what Jane asked in such a nasty tone. She didn't like the feeling and crossed her arms. Maybe that would help. Slender sensed the change in her from Jane's questions. He sighed.
"Ignore Jane. She's just mean. More bark than bite." Slender said, looking down at the girl. (Y/n) looked up at him and nodded. She dropped one arm and held onto it with her other hand at the elbow.
After Slender showed (Y/n) around, they went to his office to wait, seeing as (Y/n) felt uncomfortable around everyone else. Slender sat at his desk while (Y/n) sat in the opposite chair. She played with her hair and her clothes as she waited. She didn't know what to say to Slender, or if she should say anything at all.
"Did you enjoy your time with Trender at the mall?" He asked, beginning to look through papers and such. She smiled and thought back to yesterday and how nice Trender had been to her. He spoiled her a little too much and she was very grateful for that.
"Yeah..." (Y/n) replied with a sigh. Feeling a little happy thinking about it. But then she remembered why she wanted to see her brother and frowned.
"What's wrong?" Slender asked, though he had read her mind and knew exactly what was wrong.
"I had fun... but I came to a realization. A-and I don't know how to feel about it." (Y/n) huffed.
"And what realization was that?"
"Even after I left, I was still a story... an object in a story my parents could mess around with and lie about..." She explained, opening her purse and pulling out the page Quill gave to her. (Y/n) handed it to Slender, her arm a little shaky.
Slender took the paper and read through it. He gave a soft scoff and looked at her. He handed it back to her before making a comment.
"And this really bothers you? Why?" He asked, sounding annoyed. His tone made (Y/n) tense and sink in her seat.
"B-because when I was with them they controlled me... and now that I'm free from them... they're still controlling the public aspect of my life." She responded, looking down at her lap.
"Is that why you get upset with Splendor?" He asked, leaning against the desk. (Y/n) looked slightly to the side before more up at him, still dodging eye contact though.
"Y-yeah..." She mumbled in response. Slender sighed and nodded. (Y/n)'s eyes darted around the room, before she got up and went over to a shelf holding books. "Have you read all of these?"
"Yes. Those are my favorites." Slender replied calmly, looking through some paperwork.
"I liked the Winter Trials, but I didn't really like Optical Empathy though." (Y/n) said, those the only two titles she recognized. Slender perked.
(Those are made up book names. If they're real— Oops, I guess)
"Hm. Well then our tastes might not be that off. Try not to march into my office and judge my likings though." He said, he brushed it off, because he knew she didn't mean to be rude about it, especially in the way she said it. But there was some rudeness in that statement that bugged him, even if she didn't realize it.
"I-I uh... s-Sorry..." She stammered, folding her hands together.
(Y/n) flinched when the door opened and in stepped a bloody pair of proxies. Kai and Toby. (Y/n) was almost completely unfazed by the blood and was about to hug her brother when Toby inserted himself between them.
"Hi-Hi— tick— I'm Toby! Who-who're yo- tick— you?" He asked, (Y/n) blinked and kept her limbs close to her body in uneasiness.
"Uh-um... I'm (Y/n)..." She replied quietly and shyly. Slender then stood up, drawing the three teens attention.
"(Y/n) please leave the room. I need to speak with your brother and Toby." Slender said in a stern voice. (Y/n) nodded and left quickly.
Once she was out of the room, (Y/n) began to wonder why they were covered in blood. Then she remembered that they were killers. It made her flinch when the thought hit her, but she quickly calmed herself down. Knowing Kai would use whatever skills he's learned to protect her.
"Hey, doll face." Offender's voice suddenly said out of the blue. (Y/n) turned her head to the side then up and saw Offender towering over her. It made her feel a little uneasy, but she knew she was just being silly.
After all, Splender said to stick with him, her brother, or one of his brothers. Plus Offender seemed nice.
"Hi..." (Y/n) responded, not liking being towered over so ominously, but what could she do?
"Thought Splendor didn't want you here? Especially alone. Especially alone with Slender. Seeing as you two seem to butt heads a lot." He commented. (Y/n) only shrugged, not knowing what to say. Offender noticed her uneasiness though. "Something bothering you?"
"Hm? Oh uh... n-no..." She replied quietly. Just wanting to wait in silence.
"Speaking of which, why are you here?" Offender asked, lighting a cigarette. (Y/n) took notice. She didn't know how safe that was, but she wasn't going to question it.
"I-I'm waiting for my brother to get back..." She replied, keeping her head down and looking away from his general direction. "Then he got back and Slender kicked me out to talk with him and uh... T-Toby."
"Did you butt heads again with Slender?" He asked, to which, (Y/n) nodded, making him laugh. "Course you did. Slender can be a real asshole most of the time."
(Y/n) shrugged, not wanting to agree, because she didn't agree. She just thought Slender was grumpy and didn't like emotions, so he just came off as rude. Though, she'd never say that.
"Did you end up getting any lingerie sets?" Offender asked. (Y/n)'s face went dark red in complete embarrassment. He chuckled and smirked. "Just kidding... I saw what you got."
She covered her face embarrassed and soon her brother and Toby came out. Kai gently grabbed (Y/n)'s arm and took her away from everyone. They went back to his room and sat on the bed together.
"You wanted to talk to me?" Kai asked (Y/n), holding her hand, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles. (Y/n) pulled out the paper she had. She read it to him. "Oh..."
Silence followed and (Y/n) began to cry. Kai gave her a hug and sighed.
"It's over now. Besides, it's just the newspaper. Didn't I have one like that too? Now we both have one." Kai tried to comfort, but hints of rage were showing through. He hated this. He wished he could've stopped it before it began, but he couldn't.
He regretted not being there for her when she obviously needed him. Kai was glad she was now friends with Splendor. He may have only met him once but he had heard from plenty that he was an amazing individual.
A part of him only hoped that he wasn't that amazing.
