I turned around to the guard and walked over to him

"are you alright?" I asked prodding him with my toe he only groaned with pain I heard rikard come up beside me and draw his sword

"up" he said and I frowned at him he shrugged the guard didn't move

"I think you broke some ribs" he grumbled and I winced as he coughed blood

"sorry" I said earning a frown from rikard

I raised and eyebrow at him and motioned him away he went willingly the guard watched him with narrow pained eyes I bobbed down to his level he turned his head to meet my gaze

"whats your name" I asked

he seemed to hesitate but after a few seconds he found that there was nothing wrong with giving me, a stranger, his name

"whats yours first?" I smiled

"touche" I said "angel"

"Rowen" he said coughing his voice quiet

"cool" I said "pleasantries out of the way"

I stopped biting my lip as I sat down I was really hurting my stomach

"I need a nap" I thought

"what was that warrant for?"

"It was a sage warrant for Rikard"

"aaaannndddd whats that?"

"It's for granting us allowance to storm the ship and take everything of value even the ship itself"

"why did you tie every one up" I asked so only he could hear "there are people with shorter tempers then I with a lot worse an outcome"

his jaw clenched and squeezing his eyes shut he shook his head I raised an eyebrow and smiled well naturedly

"so your not going to talk to me now?" I asked

he hesitated then slowly nodded his head I sighed getting too my feet holding a hand to my stomach

"are you sure?"

he gave me a curt nod and I sighed again turning back to the crew who had all now been untied I looked all the crew members over my eyes settled on Seron who was kind of like barium but with a bit more control I pointed to him he blinked a few times pointing too himself I nodded and pointed back to the guard

"make him talk"

he nodded and we both walked forwards moving past each other I gave him a 'please-don't-kill-him' look he nodded as I walked back over to the crew their jaws had dropped

"Angel?" Gallent started

I held up a finger as I heard Seron draw his sword I smirked

"one" I said quietly counting with my fingers "two..... thre--"

"please" Rowen yelled out "I'll say anything just get him away"

I smiled at them turning away I walked back to the guard bobbing down

"good" I said "now start singing or next time I might let him chop a few fingers off yes?"

He nodded quickly his eyes wide like a doe in head lights

"yes yes anything just don't let hi---"

"fine" I said

I motioned Seron away he nodded seething his sword he walked back to the crew whose jaw have gone so low they seemed to just touched the deck

"now why the hell did you tie everyone up?" I asked

"we were suppose to capture Rikard but everyone else got in the way" he said

"why?" I asked

"his uncle wa--"

"wait what are you sure a screw ain't loose in there uncle?"He nodded

"okay" I said "I think I've heard enough"

I stood up and walked back over to the crew I grabbed Rikard by the arm and dragged him to the other side of the ship

"I know" he said

"you should" I growled cutting him off

"I would have---" he reasoned until I cut him off

"but you didn't" I snapped

"well I was going too--"

"but that's not good enough"

"would you just let me speak angel" he yelled I crossed my arms nodding my head

"the thing is sweet heart I tried to tell you but you ... distracted me"

"how on earth did I distract you?" I asked

"hmm" he said "let me see 'cuddle me'" I furrowed my eyebrows then after a few seconds of intense staring realisation dawned on me

"so that's what you wanted to talk to me about" I said

he nodded I sighed and dropped my head shaking it I smiled

I watched everyone over the railing rikard had pulled every on together to talk strategies he had excluded me because he wanted to keep me safe from the danger

"but I'm already in the danger" I tried to reason with him

"and that was my first mistake sweet heart" he told me as he shooed me away

and that's how I ended up here bored out of my mind as I watched them engage in a serious conversation they finally broke away and I walked down the stairs

"great" I said "now that you have completely and utterly excluded me out of that little conversation may I ask whats the plan captain"

"well kitten" he said "the plan is you stay here while I go and confront my ... uncle"

"I'm not staying" I told him "you go I'm coming too" he smirked at me

"I know that's why alters staying back to keep you here"

"rikard" I started

"no angel" he aid pulling me closer "I love you too much to see you get hurt again so please" he kissed me gently I sighed as he pulled back

"fine" I said

"awww" Gero and barium chorused "so cute"

I narrowed my eyes at them and they were quick to going back and polishing their swords I shook my head I felt rikard tense and I looked up at his face his eyes were fixated behind me then I heard it the dull clinking followed by the rhythmic thudding of feet I turned my jaw dropping rikard let me go pulling me behind him as I watched the scene in front of me that attracted more attention then three guards. they came in bigger numbers with more weapons I watched rikards body tense even more as they came onto the ship rikard pulled me closer to him his arm going out in front of me two soldiers stood in front of us one armed one not the one unarmed held up a piece of paper rikard moved forwards his hand holding mine as he red the piece of paper slowly he pulled back

"you are to come with us" the solider finally said "and if you refuse we have the right of harm"

I watched rikard swallow hard he looked to his crew he nodded and they all dropped their weapons they had drawn when the soldiers had come on deck they guards rounded them up into a tight circle removing their weapons not bothering to tie them up someone went to grab me causing rikard to pull me impossibly closer holding his arms around my waist possessively

"she walks with me" he gritted out his voice low and threatening

the guard stepped back I looked up at rikard as his grip tightened slightly his face held no emotion we were definitely screwed
