11 months later

I laid on the bed Alcazar beside me I sighed and he sighed too

"11 months" I thought "how did I manage that?"

I looked to Alcazar his chocolate brown hair covered his pale skin and blue eyes I knew why I made it through it was because of him and his likeness too his father, too Rikard, only seven and he was showing attributes and traits so much like him his respect his understanding his leadership his seriousness his swiftness and love his looks and what did he get from me the colour of his hair skin and eyes maybe the patience and anger and that horrible sense of humour that's all. he looked to me and we smiled at each other

"are you sad mommy?" he asked the smile dropping from his face I let my smile drop slightly as he grabbed my hand in his squeezing it a little

"I hope he comes back soon" I whispered

"he promised remember" I nodded "are you going to tell him about baby sis if he comes?" he asked I smiled

"I should have told him a long time ago" I said

just as I heard the door crack open slamming hard against the wall we both jumped

"careful!" I growled

as I saw Gallent rush up the stairs he paused for a second as we looked at him upside down for a few moments before we sat up he was breathing hard harder than I ever thought he would

"Gallent, whats wrong?" I asked

"Rikard he---"

"he's what?" I asked my stomach clenching as I feared the worst

"he he he he"

"for the love of god Gallent" I snapped the suspense was killing me "you better tell me o---" and that was when Alcazar jumped off the bed

"dads back?" Alcazar said

Gallent nodded tiredly as he leaned against the door frame still breathing hard Alcazar jumped off the bed and rushed down the stairs I hesitated Gallent finally got his breath back he came over to me

"are you alright little one?" I nodded quickly

"yes why?" I could bleakly here Alcazar chanting in a sing song voice

"he didn't break his promise, he didn't break his promise"

"Your hesitating" he said as he sat next to me "and you never hesitate little one you always grab life by don't kill me if I say it the balls, yes?"

I smiled a little but didn't say anything to that and a short silence passed between us

"Angel?"

"I'm just ... scared Gallent, I treated him like... " I shot a looked to the door to make sure Alcazar wasn't listening in then back to my knees "...shit I didn't even hear him out and it was only until he left did I actually do something I---"

Gallent rested a hand on my back rubbing it

"your fearing rejection little one" he told me "but take it from me your his world he kind of revolves around you he's more afraid of rejection then you are" I looked at him

"how?"

"when I tied his hands to the bed remember " he said "it was because he told me he was leaving he told me to look after you and presently I think you really needed it even if I didn't want him to go"

I raised an eye brow at him

"I don't need looking after" I told him and he smiled

"how many times now have you completely broken down little one?" I sighed

images of me a crying mess ran through my mind and the fact I never ever felt so vulnerable in my life even when I was pregnant

"alright" I muttered "you don't need to go that far" he smiled softy and continued

"I could see the tears just about to fall out he told me he didn't want to leave you but he thought it was for the best little one" I nodded my understanding then smiled

"now he's coming back" I said standing up "so lets go" and he smiled

"you red my mind" he said

we walked to the stairs walking down them with care I walked to the door pausing before I pulled it open I saw the large dent in the wall I looked to Gallent and he smiled guiltily

"your fixing that" I told him

I opened the door only to be greeted by the crew he didn't take with him I sighed they all looked almost as excited as Gallent. Alcazar came over to me and grabbed my arm pulling me forwards with as much force as he could muster

"come on mommy come on" he said with strain in his voice "we'll miss him, we'll miss him"

I internally smiled looking up at the crew as I tried to hide my excited grin as they all smiled at his eagerness

"we won't miss him" I tried to console but he wouldn't settle

"come on come on" he said pulling me harder "I want to see him as soon as possible mother, quick!" I couldn't help but let a smile shine through

"calm down" I told him "we'll get there"

"but I want to tell him about Rachel and, and, and" I couldn't help but laugh I looked back to the crew

"shall we go?" I said and Alcazar nodded as he tugged my hand bouncing slightly

"well some ones eager" commented Khan

he directed that one at me and smiled as I narrowed my eyes in his direction and I started walking being unable to hide the bounce in my step

I watched as the ship finally came to the dock after doing the usual playful loops I looked back to the house I felt bad for leaving Rachel with someone she didn't know but Gallent encouraged me to see Rikard and convinced me she would be alright. I looked back to that ship as people poured off the vessel and like always he was the last one off the ship I smiled slightly at the thought that we use to battle each other to see who was last to get off the ship the smile dropped from my face as his eyes scanned the crowd of happy couples embracing each other and welcoming home friends from a long journey his eyes finally settled on me and he froze he seemed to swallow hard as he decided to make his way towards me. every one slowly moved out of his way until he finally stood an arms length away from me I looked up at him and our eyes met we were both emotionless neither of us knew how we were suppose to start this conversation he opened and closed his mouth like a gold fish then he looked down. I had imagined this moment over and over again I imagined what I would say to him what I would do how I would act I practised over and over again until it was imprinted in my mind but looking at him now it all just rushed from my head leaving it blank I looked at him like I was some love sick puppy who just found it's master Rikard sighed as I said nothing as well. then all at once he fell too his knees and he didn't move from there his hands were on his thighs as he looked at the ground his head bowed forwards and this was all right in front of me and I froze as he didn't make eye contact with me he only stayed there on his knees not moving I swear I could feel his dignity lowering and lowering as every ones eyes transferred to him mine shot up to Gallent he looked as shocked as everyone else I looked back to Rikard I didn't know what to say as his eyes strayed to mine slowly as if I would attack him at any moment his black hair fell over his face slightly as his hazel eyes looked to me no one moved no one made a single sound the only noise that could be heard was my quickened breath as I stared shocked at the man before me the man who never bowed to anyone but would now graciously sink to his knees in front of a huge crowd of people all because of me

"take me back" he said quietly so only I could here "I-I-I can't live without you I don't care what you think just take me back your my world Angel"

I hated seeing him like this he didn't do anything wrong I kneeled down lifting his chin he looked at me with sad submissive eyes that didn't even meet mine until I kissed him gently earning a resounding aww from the people around us and wide grins from the crew he looked at me only to see my well natured forgiving smile

"you didn't do anything wrong I don't see why your on your knees" I whispered smiling

"your not ... angry?" he said slowly

I pursed my lips the smile dropping from my face and he winced and he knew he brought up a sore subject his eyes quickly turned submissive

"yes I'm still angry I'm angry that you left me I'm angry that you didn't even say good bye I'm angry you didn't even tell me where the hell you were going or how long you were going to be technically I'm angry enough to lecture your ass when you get home"

he grimaced as I stood up he looked thoughtful for a second before he looked up

"home?" he said slowly and I rolled my eyes and smiled

"yes you live there too right?"

"I thought....?"

"well you thought wrong now get up Rikard that's a very embarrassing position"

people started to laugh as Rikards face turned red as he slowly got to his feet

"not like I have any dignity left" he mumbled

and I smiled a little before I hugged him tightly his body stiffened as he didn't hug me back I sighed quietly before pulling away to look at him fully then I noticed something above his eye

"when did you get that?" I asked

as I touched the scar above his right eye he winced oops it wasn't a scar

"it's nothing" he told me smiling

I frowned then sighed choosing not to go any further I hugged him tighter and he hugged me back

"I missed you" he whispered

"I missed you more" I told him he kissed my neck I heard more awws.

"Not possible" he whispered

the whole town knew about Rikard and i's argument that led to him leaving me and every one was happy to see us together well all except one. Rikard paused for a second before slowly putting letting me go I blinked a few times slipping my arms from his neck I knew who he was looking at I stepped to the side just as Alcazar jumped into Rikards arms hugging him tightly

"not as much as me" Alcazar said into his neck

and Rikard hugged him back as he came down to his level to hug him properly his arm wrapped around his waist

"I told you I never break a promise" he whispered to Alcazar but looked up too me "even if their old ones"

I smiled and he smiled back picking Alcazar up he kissed his forehead then kissed mine and from there we started walking. Filling in the gaps along the way
