the Hawk sailed away from the island leaving white water behind Limericks unhappy face appeared on the dock I waved good bye with an equally unhappy look that of course I was faking and he waved back as I ducked around the corner and peered over the edge the sun was setting over the ocean and in a few hours it was soon dark and I found myself slowly drifting off I heard the creaking of the stairs and turned around to see Rikard

"why did you stay?" he asked

coming out from the darkness just so his face was half concealed by the long shadow of the mast

"don't know felt right, maybe?" I said shrugging

I looked back at the water then I turned towards him he raised an eye brow I bit down on my bottom lip he let the silence drag on and after a few seconds I couldn't bare it any longer

"okay" I shouted "he replaced me he can navigate by himself he doesn't need someone to do it for him I'm just not needed there I'm just ----"

"jealous?" interrupted Rikard

a small smile appearing on his face as he took a tentative step forwards my cheeks felt like they were on fire the girl on the ship was very pretty but me jealous no way I don't get jealous ... okay maybe a little but there's no way in hell I would admit that to him

"no" I said after a few minutes "I am, was replaceable"

I turned around feeling the growing sense of unhappiness as faced out to sea where the moon lit up the water turning it a deep blue I heard the soft creaking of the floor boards and assumed he was going away but then I felt him rest his hands on my waist then start to run his hands up and down my sides I felt my stomach flutter

"no" I thought

swallowing but something stopped me from pulling away some part of me might have wanted this to happen I might have wanted comfort for those few days we faced on the Dragon Fly

"I know the real reason" he whispered in my ear

his warm breath blew down the nape of my neck and he traced gentle circles around my hips with the pads of his thumbs sending electrified shivers up my spine as he pulled me closer to him he wrapped his warm arms slowly around my stomach

"I can help you feel wanted" he whispered in my ear "if that is what you really want?"

"okay no way" I thought again

as I turned around to push him away but no sooner had I turned to face him was I greeted by his lips pressing gently against mine and I wondered how could I say no to this I had no erg to pull away I kissed back as he slowly pulled away reluctantly

"please" I asked looking up at him slowly "help me feel wanted"

he smiled as he pulled my body tighter against his. He pressed his lips against mine slanting his mouth as we both fought for dominance running his tongue across my lower lip as he groaned for more access I shuddered as his entire body vibrated with the noise. opening my mouth allowing him to deepen the kiss I felt something hard press against my abdomen but I didn't care I ignored it focusing on his lips as he hungrily claimed my mouth. And hands trailed up his chest wrapping around his neck pulling him closer he groaned as he pulled away releasing me slightly and I felt my cheeks redden as I realised what was pressing against me he stroked his hand across my face and I shivered unconsciously he leaned towards my ear

"you can breath now" he said

I blinked a few times before I breathed in through my nose he kept me close for a few moments I rested my head against his chest and closed my eyes he seemed to wince his body tensed but quickly relaxed. he stroked my head leaving feathery kisses on my hair then after a few minutes he leaned closer to my ear

"good night Angel" he whispered

I opened my eyes leaning back to look up at him he ran his hand down my face kissing the corner of my mouth gently as he pulled away with a smile walking down stairs then after I heard the click of the door opening and the clack of it closing I sighed deeply and leaned back against the railing

"come back" I said quietly

in the morning I saw Rikard but before I could say anything he sped off below deck and this seemed to happen for three days before I followed him I had had no contact with him since the time at the front of the ship where he was half hidden in the darkness so I went below deck on the opposite side to where the crew sleep and I found Rikard I crept down the stairs and hid behind a barrel I peeked over Rikard coughed and sniffed the room was illuminated by a single candle I heard him grunt then lift his head

"you can come out now" he said

I did not move

"I'm going to count to three"

and at that point I stood up he half turned to look at me then turned back

"leave now" he growled

I walked out from behind the barrels and took a few steps forwards

"I said go" growled Rikard

I still did not budge instead I took a few more steps forwards

he sighed "what do you want Angel?"

"I want to know what's wrong with you" I said

he sighed "you won't leave until you know will you?"

"no" I said stubbornly

then with that he turned I saw the huge cut down the side of his chest it was longer than my arm and maybe even deeper to I walked forwards a bit more

"Rikard" I said "how?"

"one of that Limerick guys crew took to me with an axe" he growled "he went straight down me"

I reached up to touched it but he grabbed my hand gently and smiled

"it's nothing" he said

letting my hand go I looked at him sternly as he took in a deep breath and blood fell down the wound he swore then looked down and raised his hand but I grabbed it and pulled it down again

"let me help" I said he sighed

"fine just don't tell the crew" he said "this is embarrassing" I arched an eye brow

"how so?" I asked and he smiled a little smaller

"I'd rather not talk about it" I nodded as I cleaned the wound

"okay" I assured him staring directly at his chest

I looked over the side of the ship the water was foaming every where around the ship the skies were darkening and the wind was picking up Rikard was up the back looking around too he must have figure out what was happening before I did

"someone tie Angel down" I heard Rikard yell

as the wind blew at me hard sending me back into the railing as Forum rushed up with a length of rope he dashed forwards and grabbed me before I went over the side I sighed happily

"whats happening?" I asked

as he grabbed my wrist and led me down the stairs to the mast where the ship began to rock uncontrollably making it hard for anyone to balance

"there's a storm coming" said Forum

as he quickly tied the rope around my wrist than bound it to the mast

"then why am I out in the open?" I said Forum looked to me

"because it's safer" he said "your less likely to get caught on anything and seeing as you can't swim stops you from sinking"

"oh, okay" I said

but was unable to ask any more questions because he was summoned some where else just as it began to rain and the waves came up high on the ship

bits of debris came flying at me I felt something cut through my stomach and shoulder but I was too cold and wet to feel any pain waves washed over the deck I forgot to close my mouth and I swallowed a whole heap of water and before I knew it every thing went dark 888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888

I soon heard yelling and some familiar voices calling my name I felt the need to cough and did so coughing up loads of sea water then I felt the burning pain through out my body I let out a yelp as the hands that were holding me started to move to my arms probably in an attempt to sit me up more so I could cough up any more water that I had swallowed but I fell asleep again

I woke up in a comfy bed I sat up warily my head spun my body ached then I felt hands push me down again

"stay down you will only make it worse" the familiar words of Rikards bounced through my head

I looked in the direction the pressure had come from and someone stroked my head affectionately

"hello" said Rikard "so you are awake this time?"

I shook my head trying to shake off the throbbing pain in my head but to no avail he rested his hand against my forehead only to pull it away

"owch" he said "what a fever"

I tried to sit up again and he let me or more or less helped me my side were heaving I looked back at Rikard

"what happened?" I asked blinking

"we were caught in a storm and well you swallow a lot of water and fainted" he smiled which disappeared as fast as it came "so we had to get to port fast and well the Hawk sustained a lot of damage it was a miracle it was still a float"

"what happened to every one else?"

"well" said Rikard "your the only casualty the rest of the crew are helping re-build the ship as we speak"
