I entered the throne room still wearing my leather vest and pants I had left on the ship I now stood snugly in a clean black shirt and pants that kept me warm from the harsh winds of aurtum the crew had decided to wait out side on the grass all except neon the others didn't want to be in the presence of royalty

"what about me?" I asked them they simply scratched there head

"you one of us" they said simply

as I walked through the double doors I looked back to Neon who was smiling and looking around like this was all new which if I knew my pearents nothing new stayed around for any longer then a week before it was repleace

after a brief conversation with the guards they rather reluctantly let us through and by us I mean me they wouldn't let Neon in so he waited out side with the guards I walked in the guards bowed to me and introduced me to my parents which I didn't find at all necicary bacause of the surprised looks on their faces the guards closed the doors and they stared at me in disbelief a few seconds past before they stood up and came closer

"wow" they said

"we thought you would never would have actually grown up" said my mother

I was then suddenly grabbed in a tight bear hug pain flowed through me causing me to flinch I was place down gently

"how have you been?" my father said quickly "or more to the point where have you been what have you been doing"

"well" I said "I just came from brack balla and met the king"

my mothers face seemed to spark with happyness I knew that look and I shook my head

"it's not like that mother"

my father began to step back turning and walking until he was next to my mother

"okay" they said as they walked back towards the thrones their inspection finished I

"all well with you?" my mother asked

"um yes?" I said

"good" they said "we can call back the marriage" I took a step back

"wow" I said "straight away you didn't even hear if I was going to stay or not?" I edged back slowly

"well you are and you will" my father stated firmly

"I'm over eighteen" I told him "so you don't have the jurisdiction to push me into marriage"

"we do" they said "and we will"

I backed away the turned and pushed the double doors open knocking the guards against the wall

"get them" said the king and queen who I now no longer clasifie as my parents

"come on" tugging Neons sleeve Neon looked behind him "don't look back" I hissed

then began to walk a bit faster as to extend the gap between the guards and us we finally got out side I bet over placing mmy hands on my knees as I tried to calm myself I turned to the crew

"leaving" I said pointing to the ship some 2000 meters away

the rattling of the guard armour could be heard miles away as the crew looked to me a smile on there faces

"in trouble already?" said Gallent

"get moving" I growled

"yes captain" they chimed as they all got up and began to walk

"double time" I yelled

as they broke into a steady jog smiles still visible on there faces

"come on" I said tugging Neons sleeve again as we ran across the small bridge

guards close behind as the crew split into three groups and I tugged Neons sleeve as he followed me to where a group of crates laid discarded

"dead end" he squeaked his voice betraying his fear I sighed

"have a little faith in me will you I've lived here for a long time" I told him shaking my head

I le t Neon go and bounded up the crates that made a stair case Neon followed close behind

"hows your roof jumping skills?" I said as we came to a huge gap

"um they need work" he squeaked

"well lets brush up on them" I said quickly "not better time then the present"

I flipped over the gap landing on all fours I turned back just as Neon did the same but kind of well tumbled was not the right word he more or less rolled landing with a thump on the roof I smiled then looked up and saw the guards who looked at the gap then up to us and back to the gap

"suckers" I said

motioning Neon on the guards yelled curses at us as we sped away running out of there sights

chapter 36

we were getting ready to leave as fast as we could when I heard feet against the decking not loud like the crew who might I add sounded like a bunch of rampaging elephants with only two legs but this one was quiet and shy I turned my head

"I want to see the captain" demanded a small voice

"no way pip squeak, no one your size sees the captain" I rolled my eyes and whistled loudly causing his head to snap towards me

"since when did you make the rules Sanjay?" I said he looked at me and smiled nervously "I have one question for you"

"yes cap'in?" he said

"can you swim?" he nodded

"yes cap'in"

"good" I said smiling "go walk the plank"

he continued to look relaxed as he slowly turned back to the body

"I mean it" I growled "get a move on the fish wait for no one"

he sighed unhappily and trudged away revealing a small boy who walked up to me

"I wish to see the captain miss" he said

every one stopped and looked at me the boy looked around

"what did I say?" he said

I said nothing then turned around and walked away the boy looked back at me

"what did I say?" he said again

"hey kid" yelled Gero "that is the captain"

he looked a little shocked as he watched the spot where I stood for a few seconds before he turned back to Gero

"she's not the type for telling any one I think she was hoping you would be able to under stand"

"oh" he said as I looked over the railing "miss I mean captain sir?" I looked down at him and sighed there was no stopping this

"yes?" I said

"I want to join your crew" I froze everyone froze and I bit my lip

"what can you do for this ship?" I asked after a long pause the boy stood there a little confused

"um I don't know" he said I sighed

"stay there" I said

as I slipped over the railing and walked over the men who had since then gather into a little group

"so" I said shrugging "what do you guys think?" they all looked at each other smiling

"we could use another cabin boy" they said there was a loud yar

"what happened to the last cabin boy?" I asked cautiously

they all looked to Neon I rolled my eyes and smiled

"any other suggestions?" I asked

"what about a cook?" said Neon

the image of the cook flashed through my mind I had only met him once and I was grateful that he was a pirate he was and always will be very violent I shook my head

"that man's better off alone" I said they laughed

"I second" that and every body agreed

"so" I said "cabin boy?"

"aye" they said nodding

I turned away from the group and back to the boy who stared at me curiously

"before I say anything I want to know why you are here?"

"I want to go on an adventure violence and all"

"why did you come to this ship then?" I asked tilting my head to the side

"because" he said "this is a pirate ship and you are all pirates aren't you?"

"how do you know that?" I asked

the boy pointed to the mast where the flag was flying I flicked around and my eyes popped out of my head and my heart began to beat faster in shock and anger

"guys!" I yelled drop the flag

they looked at me dumb founded I pointed to the mast they all jumped then they ran around pulling the flag down I sighed

"well then welcome aboard"

"really?" he said alarmed I shrugged

"well we can't just let you go" I said loudly "you know we're pirates" he tilted his head to the side

"and if I refuse?" I smiled wickedly I really loved this sort of thing

on cue every one drew their swords and I pointed mine at him the boy jumped back I smiled seething it

"hey Neon" I called

"yes Angel I mean captain?" said Neon

"cabin boy to cabin boy show um?" I turned back to the boy "whats your name?"

"Lucario" the boy told me

"okay" I turned back to Neon "show Lucario the ropes" Neon nodded then took up a thoughtful look

"would that be the rigging ropes of the mast ropes?" he asked I gave him a really look

"stop being a smart ass Neon you know what I mean"

I stood at the front of the ship staring fixedly ahead until I felt something go over my eyes I screamed out in fright as the sun disappeared from my view I heard Neon crack up laughing as I pulled what I though to be a hat from in front of my eyes

"Neon" I grumbled and he continued to laugh

"you should have seen your face Angel" he turned serious "I just thought you wanted the hat so everybody knows your captain"

I pulled the hat off my head it had a skull and cross bones on it

"it was Rikards" he told me "he just never wore it often"

"hmm" I said smiling "thanks" I put it back on my head "now back to work"
