Ifelt fingers strum over my face and I stirred letting out smallwhimpers of pain I opened my eyes slowly as fingers brushed throughmy hair as I stared wide eyed at the browned hair olive skinned manin front of me

Ilet out an alarmed squeal I realised how close he was the noiseechoed through the trees and across the beach my heart hammered in mychest and he smiled down at me

"w-w-whoare you?" I asked swallowing hard

"thebest thing that ever happened to you" he said cockily as he pulledme closer I heard feet across the forest floor

"ang---chase!" Rikards voiceechoed

aschases body was ripped away from mine allowing me to sit up I held ahand to my side wincing in pain I felt a body next to mine I smiledlooking to Neon who smiledback wrapping an arm around me

"Itold you to leave her be?" Rikardgrowled out "she needed to sleep"

"shewas already awake" chase argued smiling widely as he looked to me"she's quite beautiful very mezmerising blue e---" he let out astrangled noise as Rikardwhispered something in his ear squeezing his throat in his hand

Iclimbed to my feet slowly Neonbeside me my head span and I fell into Neonas my legs gave out on me

"whathappened to her?" chase asked worry laced his voice

"she'sinjured" Neon said simply

Isank into him and he lowered me to the ground kneeling beside me as Iblacked out again

"getup you slobs" chases voice reached my ears

ashe started banging something metalic against one of the many rocks inthe cove I groaned covering my ears and when he didn't let up Ipushed the blanket off and slowly got to my feet feeling light headedas my stomach growled with hunger

Imoved towards the noise pushing the dull thud of a headache to theback of my mind as I came out from the trees and watched as chase yetagain began a synphony of clangs and clashes with a large metal rodwhich was supported by the laugh of the crew I winced as I made myway over to chase who looked to me with a crooked smile one thatdisappeared as I snatched the rod from his hands that he raised insurrender earning more rumbling laughs from the crew as I whacked theback of his knees with it earning louder laughter he slowly climbedto his feet looking down at me and me up at him his dark brown hairwas pulled away from his face revealing his silver eyes that wereaccentuated by his dark olive skin and twinkled with an emotion thatwas forign to me as his face started to move closer to mine all noisefaded from the back round not only because I was focused on him buteveryone else was focused on us it was only when his lips touchedmine did I notice that Rikardwas watching too. One second he was standing stiffly by the hull andthe next he had pulled chase off and turned to me his facemillimeters from mine

"Ineed to talk to you" he growled out

steppingaway from me he turned to walk noticing that I wasn't following

"now"he snapped

heremained quiet his eyes swirled with an emotion that I knew well

Herolled his eyes dropping his arms so he stood directly in front of mestill

Rikardlaughed hestaricaly but it was a cold hearted laugh as he looked atme his hazel eyes intensified
