Yo guys~

You should probably guess what this one shot is going to be about just by reading the title, and if you haven't, well it's going to be somewhat of a parody of The Little Mermaid! Yaaay~! *claps hands* It's the Disney version so y'all can have a happy ending.

This is just a chappie to commemorate another year of our precious dolphin's birthday, so enjoy!

There was once a merman prince whose name was Nanase Haruka. For eighteen years living under the sea, he became unsatisfied with the kind of life he was living, and he wanted to try to explore out in the so called 'human' world out of curiosity. Unfortunately, King Makoto constantly warns him not to get involved with humans, who are viewed as mere predators by their eyes.

"Haru-chan? You look sad again," the merman's fish friend, Nagisa, commented at his frowning, restless face. "Is it about the human world again?"

"I wish I could be part of that world..." Haru said, sighing deeply as he stared up at the ocean's surface.

"Now, now, Haruka-senpai," Rei, the beautiful crab, told him, "the human world is a mess. Life under the sea is much better than whatever is up there. I theorize that you would not be able to survive for approximately 11 seconds up at shore, where such nasty homo sapiens are out to find and kill beautiful creatures like you." Upon receiving no change in his facial expression, he cleared his throat. "Maybe I shall break into a song. UNDAH THA SEAAA--"

"Please don't," the prince immediately cut him off. "Your songs won't convince me to avoid going up to that world."

One night, Haru sneaked out, together with Nagisa and Rei, to go up to the ocean surface, where they heard noise coming from a ship. From that vessel, a lot of human beings were celebrating, based on their merriness. The merman squinted his eyes for a better look, and to his amazement, he spotted a very gorgeous young woman who bears the name (Y/N). She was almost as young as the underwater prince, and not to mention that she was also princess of (anything you want). Haru immediately falls in love with the majestic maiden.

All of a sudden, a storm hits, and the ship begins to fall apart. The people were able to load themselves into lifeboats, however, (Y/N) dove to the water just to save her pinkish and fluffy pet (any animal who can't survive in the ocean cuz ya can't cheat ;DD) called Kisumi. She successfully does so, but then she didn't realize that she was drowning. Thankfully, Haru came to her to the rescue, bringing her to shore.

He lays beside her semi-unconscious body, putting an ear to her chest, where her heart is. "It's still beating..." Haru murmured. After a few seconds of thinking, he softly but dreamily sang:

"What would I give to live where you are?
What would I pay to stay here beside you?
What would I do to see you smiling at me?
Where would we walk? Where would we run? If we could stay all day in the sun?
Just you and me, and I could be... part of your world."

(Y/N) began to gain back the rest of her consciousness as the mysterious man sang to her. Ever so slowly, she fluttered her eyes half open and touched the first thing she could touch from the man: his well-toned abs. 'Oh my,' she thought. Her hand slipped to another part, which is his tricep. 'This must be my lucky day...'

Just then, Kisumi, following by a young notorious man, were running to the both of you. Startled, the little merman jumped back into the sea to hide. (Y/N) got helped up to her feet by the fellow human who went by the name of Nitori.

(Y/N) commenced to speak, "There was a man who rescued me. A man with such... toned abs and triceps."

"E-Eh? (Y/N)-senpai, I think you must've been dreaming. Now come on, let us go," the shota replied, putting your arm over his shoulder to give you support.

"No. It wasn't a dream. I swear I felt them. Wait... He was also singing so beautifully to me. About what? Was it mackerel? Doesn't matter. I have to find this mysterious man!"

From behind a rock, Haru was watching the pretty girl walk away with the silver-haired shota. "I want to go live with that girl..."

Kisumi was making his own animal noises nonstop. To translate, he was telling his owner, "(Y/N)-chan! The man you're looking for is just over there behind those rocks! Ugh, now I'm hungry. (Y/N)-chan!!"

Days flew by, and the prince was restlessly lovesick; he wanted to reunite with the human girl no matter what it takes. King Makoto and Rei blissfully gazed at Haru.

"What is wrong with my Haru?" The King asked the crab.

"Oh no, I think he still can't get over the incident he had with a human girl... WAIT-- WHAT I MEANT TO SAY WAS YOU LOOK VERY BEAUTIFUL TODAY, KING MAKOTO-SENPAI~!"

"Haru made contact with a human girl..?" Makoto said in pure shock. Upset, he swam to confront Haru about this.

"Haru, I warned you numerous times not to get involved with the predators' world. You're going to regret it once something bad happens to you. Look, it's better for you to stay here with me. Please, forget about that world because I will never allow you to go there." He glanced at all of the foreign artifacts that the prince collected for years and destroys them with his all-powerful trident. "I'm sorry, Haru." With that said, he trailed off.

Right after the king's leave, two suspicious looking eels named Seijuro and Momotarou slithered through the rocks to meet Haru. The older brother, Seijuro, said to the depressed merman, "You must be really sad that King Makoto brought down all your hopes of coming to the human world."

"Yea, what onii-chan said!" The other added. "You should go visit Rin-senpai, where he could be able to make your dreams come true! Follow us!"

And so, the little merman followed those mischievous eels to the deeper depths of the ocean, where Matsuoka Rin stayed.

"Rin-senpai, Rin-senpai! We got you a boy! A boy that wishes for his dreams to be granted!" Momotarou exclaimed.

"Ah, if it isn't Haru," Rin spoke from his throne. "So, tell me about your saltiness here in the salty sea." He laughed.

"Uh," he flinched, "I just want to be with a girl that I love that lives up on land."

"I see. Well, I have a deal for you, Haru: I will transform you into a human for three days. Within those days, you must kiss your true love. If you fail, you will turn back into a merman and live your life as my prisoner." He let out another laugh, but this time, with a more evil tone. "But you have to pay a price for legs. That is to give up your voice."

After seconds of thinking about it, he firmly answered, "Deal."

Rin proceeds to transform Haru into a human. Seconds later, his fish tail disappears and is turned into legs. He is brought up to the shore and is left there alone, stark naked. Nah, just kidding. They have given him a part of a ripped sail that was randomly floating at the water's surface, and a some twine to tie it up to construct his privacy.

Moments after, he is found by the fair (Y/N) and her trusty Kisumi. "Hey! Are you a survivor from the shipwreck a few days ago?" She asked while running up to him. When she saw his face, she blinked her eyes and wondered, "Wait a second... Were you the one who saved me...? Um, what's your name?"

When she learned that Haru was unable to talk, (Y/N)'s hopes sunk into the abyss. "Oh, you can't speak? I see... I guess you aren't 'the one'." She sighed. "Well, you can come with us to the palace where we could help you."

He nodded, smiling a bit. Kisumi grunted due to the frustration that bore upon him, since the man who rescued her is right in front of him. Because of this, he pushed his owner to Haru, resulting for (Y/N) to fall into his arms. Both of them were blushing at the fact that their faces were only inches apart.

"O-Oh! I-I'm sorry," she stuttered. "I-I think we should get going... And get you some clothes 'cause I can feel your buddy down there."

So, (Y/N), Haru and Kisumi headed to the palace, where Haru is treated by her servants. They groomed himself, and gave him much more fancy and princely clothes. He wore a beautiful brocaded double-breasted jacket in two toned shades of blue over a ruffled chiffon blouse, and silky black slacks in which a quarter of them were enveloped in the finest black leather boots with an inch of heels. When he came out of the grand dressing room to meet (Y/N), she was utterly surprised by his whole new appearance.

"Wow," she gasped, "you legitimately look like a prince. Y-You're... very handsome--I MEAN, YOU HAVE NICE HANDS, SON!" The woman nervously laughed.

The two young people sat at a formal dining table, where the servants had set up a candlelit dinner just for them. Despite the man it being able to speak a word, a bond slowly began to form between him and (Y/N).

I APOLOGIZE FOR LEAVING YOU AT A CLIFFHANGER HERE. IT WAS A LITTLE BIT TOO LONG THAN I EXPECTED, SO I HAD TO CUT IT INTO TWO PARTS. QuQ But don't worry, because I will most likely not have any delays for the second part.
