FTER HANJI AND the other people on horses drop you off, you walk around to find anyone who can help you. You end up walking a whole day in the grassy fields trying to find a small village you can seek help from. You start to see one from the south of Wall Rose. You pick up your pace and start running towards it. The village was filled with people and children everywhere. Everyone looked joyful and happy. You wish you had that feeling back.

You used to be happy and out going but now you are cold and hardly ever talk. You see a boy around your age with bald gray hair and was extremely short. He was sitting on the ground against the wall of a house and two other boys were standing up in front of him.

"Look! He is going to cry!" exclaimed the boy.

"Let's teach him a lesson!" the other one said.

"No! Please! I didn't do anything! All I was saying is the truth!" the grey haired boy pleaded.

"This is what you get for talking trash about me. You filthy foul load piece of trash!" and the boy kicked the grey haired boy.

"Woah! Do it again! The look on his face is priceless!" the other boy said.

And as he was about to kick the grey haired boy again you grab his leg and sweep his foot making him fall.

You look down at him giving him your coldest glare.

"Harming kids to fight back? That's quite lame." you say with a cold and quiet voice.

He stares up to look at you wide in the eyes. You shift your glare over to the other boy who also looked terrified.

"Would you like me to demonstrate my fighting on you too?" you ask.

"Come on dude! Let's get out of here! That girl is crazy!" the boy helps the other one up and runs away.

You get rid of your glare and look down on the grey haired boy.

"Thank you so much! My name is Conny Springer. How could I ever repay you!" Conny looks up at you in thanks.

You kneel down to him and look at his green eyes.

"By answering some questions of mine." you say.

"Oh uh, okay then. What is your question?" he asked.

"Do you know what Titans are?" you ask as you were now sitting down on the ground infront to him.

"Oh. The human eating giants? Yes. They breached Wall Maria about two years ago. Caused 20% of humanity to die." he answers.

"How were the walls breached?" you asked.

"This is what I heard but a 60 meter titan called the Colossal Titan broke the gates of Zhiganshina District. Then the Armored Titan broke the gate way from Zhiganshina to Wall Maria and now people who lived in Wall Maria live in Wall Rose or Shina." he answers.

"I see. The districts are the circular walls from the main walls, am I correct?" you ask.

"Yes. There is the outer wall, Wall Maria. The middle wall, Wall Rose, and the inner wall, Wall Shina." he answers.

"I see... What else do you know about Titans?" you ask.

"Uh... well. I don't know much. You should probably ask the Survey Corps or Garrison about that if you want good information." Conny rubs the back of his neck for his lack of knowledge.

"Survey Corps...? Garrison...? What are those?" you ask.

"Well you can train to be a soldier. After you are skilled enough you can join the Military Police which I think just solves crime in the city or whatever. The Garrison are people who defend the walls. And the Survey Corps venture outside of the walls and has found all the key information about Titans. But it's a very dangerous regiment because they go outside of the walls. They try to uncover the truth about the Titans." he answers.

"The Survey Corps... How do I join them?" you ask.

"J-Join the Survey Corps? Are you crazy? You will just be Titan food! 30% of their men who go on expeditions get killed! It's a suicide job!" he says.

"I could care less. I am stronger than you think. Tell me how I join." you order.

He sighs and looks down.

"You have to train and join the cadets first. You can start at age 12 and I am planning to go there soon. Then after you graduate you can choose whatever regiment you want. But if you don't score top 10, you can't join the Military Police." he answers.

"I see. Thank you for answering my questions." you thank Conny and got up to leave until he pulls your wrist.

"Wait! You didn't even tell me your name. Who are you and where are you from?" he ask.

You look back at him.

"Sorry about that. Y/n l/n. I don't have a home so I don't know where I am from." you answer.

"You have no home? No parents?" he asks and you nod you head.

"Well I know we just met but if you like, my parents can give you food and shelter. And you can leave whenever you want." he proposes.

"Thank you for your generous offer. I accept." you say.

"Okay then. Follow me."

Conny then leads you to his house.

"Mom! I am home! I need to tell you something!" Conny yells as you both enter the house.

You then see his mother.

"Well who is this? A lovely female friend of yours?" she asks.

"This is y/n l/n. She has no home. Could she stay with us?" Conny asks.

"She has no home? Are you lost?" the mother looks at you.

"No. I just need somewhere to stay. I won't be mad if you decline." you said.

"Only a selfish person would decline a helpless little girl. You can stay with us as long as you like." the mother says with a warm smile.

You have met Conny's whole family. His father, mother, Martin, Sunny. You were all at the table having supper.

"So y/n. Where are you from?" the father ask.

You look up from your soup to see the whole family looking at you.

"Oh. I have been on my own my entire life. I was probably a child of a prostitute whom abandoned me." you lie.

"I'm sorry to hear. If there is anything else we can do please feel free to tell us, y/n." the father says.

"No. This is good enough. I am very thankful." you thank them and then looked back down at your soup that you continued to eat.

"Conny is planning to go to the Military Police and train with the cadets when he turns 12 in a few months. You two seem like the same age. Would you like to join him?" the mother ask.

You stare back up from your food.

Can't I just please eat.

You look at Conny's green orbs eager to hear your answer.

"I am turning 12 in a few months as well... I suppose I can train in the cadets but I don't plan on joining the Military Police." you say.

"Your still not planning to join the Survey Corps, right?" Conny asks.

"Survey Corps?! Darling, please think about your decision. You get to live in the interior wall if you are apart of the MP. Join Conny!" the mother pleaded.

"I could care less about which wall I live in. And I have other personal reason why I want to join the Survey Corps. If Conny is aiming for the Military Police I wish him the best of luck." you declare.

Silence then fell upon all of you and you finally went back to eating your soup.

Later that night you got into your bed still thinking about what happened to your mother and father. And how your mission was to protect Ymir's subjects and now let the Beast Titan get ahold of the Founding Titan power. It was hard keeping in the truth about everything. But maybe it was the best way. You had to be smart and clever. Careful and cautious.

You then grabbed the piece of paper you drew of you, your mom, and dad. Then back at the ring your mom gave you. You shook your hand to make the sharp part flash open.

I will avenge you mom and dad. I will.
