Description: 

Yellow is the color of happiness, of life, and of the warmth and strength of heart. It is a color that also captures the color of the herb marigold, and the color of leaves that fall in leafbare.

Cats that wore that coat color were generally the honest and carefree ones, ones whose emotions shone through them like sunshine.

But when a killer begins slaughtering cats in the humble clan of FernClan, the one miraculous survivor mutters that all he remembers is a splash of golden fur.

Suddenly, Flameleap, Goldenpaw, and Sparkcry are all under suspicion, and they must find which of them is the true killer.

The sun may bring life, but it is made of fire. And fire burns those who touch it.

Main Characters

Flameleap: golden tom with green eyes. Optimist. Very smart. A new warrior. His sister is one of the victims of the "Golden Killer".

Goldenpaw: Light yellow tom/she-cat with amber eyes. Goes-with-the-flow type character. Very chill about most things. However, her best friend is one of the victims of the "Golden Killer".

Sparkcry: very pale ginger she-cat with orange eyes. Very proactive, fiery and jokester cat. Generally very happy but prone to emotions. Her crush was one of the victims of the "Golden Killer"

Formatting:

Short-story would work well for this book, but normal is fine as well. The story is told in "third-person limited POV" of each of the three characters in rotation.
