If you try to swim against the rapids, you will be pulled under.

RookClan has lived in the high cliffs of their territory for generations. No cat even has any stories of times before they lived there, and ever apprentice knows every rock, every tree, every bush.

So when Poplarpaw receives a message from their ancestors that warned them of a coming threat, their mentors ignore them, insist that they must stay and defend their territory.

But some things can't be defended against.

If one stands still in a river, they will drown.

Main Characters:

Poplarpaw: Main character. Very stubborn, opinionated, bold, but small in stature and slightly weak cat. He/she failed their warrior assessment and has one moon to redo it, but is now being threatened to fail again due to the prophecy. ENTJ-A. Gender and description up to you.
Gorgefeather: quiet, respectful medicine cat. Easily manipulated. Faith in StarClan is wavering. Did not receive prophecy because StarClan knew he/she wouldn't go against the Clan. INFJ-T. Gender and description up to you.
Aspenstar: bold, traditional and dominant cat with extreme faith in the strength of the Clan. Distrusts Poplarpaw due to he/she's non-Clan parent. ESTJ-A. Gender and description up to you.
Pineflame: Poplarpaw's crush. Two moons older. Caring, brave, selfless. INFP-A. Gender and description up to you.
