I wake up with a massive headache and I groan. I slept really late yesterday as I had a hard time sleeping. I kept on replaying the event with Dave over and over  in my head. Why did I have so much fun? Why did he try to kiss me? Why did I stop him? Why? Why? Why?.

I get up and go have my bath and get ready for school. Once I'm ready I skip downstairs. My mum is already done making break fast and she's sitting in front of my food folding her arms and pouting. 

"Morning mama", I hug her and kiss her forehead and she mumbles something. "What" I asked confused.

"You really think you'd sneak out of this house in the middle of the night without me noticing young lady" she frowns and now I pout.

"It wasn't on purpose mama. I had to go see him. I've been pissing him off this past weeks, I needed to make peace", I say rushing my words.

My mum frowns for a bit, then her eyes widen and now shes smiling like a Cheshire cat. Then and there I realize what just happened. I tattled myself when there was no need for it. I could have just shrugged and she'd have dropped it. I now am doomed.

"Fiona", she squeals dragging my name. "And I was here thinking you went to get ice cream or something. It's that Dave boy ain't it. I knew something was going on between you two", she gushes and I groan.

My mum has always been riling me about getting a boyfriend. According to her, it'll calm my nerves. I never try to think about what exactly she's driving at, my own mum telling me to get laid is something that freaks me out. 

It was nothing. We just went for a walk and it was fun, and we talked and laughed. Then he tried to kiss me but I stopped him and now I feel bad but then I know it won't make things awkward or at least I hope" I start to ramble but when I see the look on my mum's face. I stop. 

I must have said something really appealing to her cause now she's grinning like an high school girl that got asked to prom by her crush. I stop and think about what I just said and then I realized. I just told my mum about my near kiss. What is wrong with me today. I groan and start to walk outside and he bursts out laughing.

I get to school quite early and I waltz to class. I see Ella sitting at the end of the class and my eyes almost pop out of their sockets. She's making out with Joshua Harding. The same guy that smacked her butt when we were walking to lunch the other day. They don't notice me so I sit at the other end of the class working on some of my assignments till the bell goes. 

"Shit" I hear Ella say and I turn to look at them. Ella basically shoves Josh off of her and I burst out laughing while she glares at me.

Students start pouring in and Ella walks over to sit beside me. Joshua walks up to us and says hi to me before kissing Ella on the forehead and walking out. Ella turns all shade of red and I start laughing again making kissy faces at her and she rolls her eyes at  me. 

"Are ya'll a thing now" I ask her,

"I guess", she shrugs and I hug her tight.

Just then I realize that I've been so sucked into my own shit I haven't had time for Ella and the girls.

"Awn, Els, I'm so happy for you. You have to give me details. I'm so sorry I've not been a best friend to you this past weeks" I sigh and she seems to accept my apology because now she's smiling happily and she looks like she's about to explode with a lot of stories. 

She is about to start talking when the teacher starts talking.

"Good morning guys. A news for all seniors. There is going to be a trip to Venice for all seniors. A slip is going round now. If you want to go, have your parents sign it and attach receipt of payment. Note that it must be submitted before the end of this week", our history teacher Mr Donn says and the class gets wild.

When the slip gets to me. I glance at it and tuck it into my bag. If I try to say that I don't want to go, the girls will have my head. Plus Dave might come too and that'd be nice. Stop thinking about him Fiona.

The rest of the class is spent with Ella telling me about her and Joshua. I'm really happy for her. I've not seen her this happy in a while.
