Chapter 17

And now, my dears, the plot thickens! Mwahaha! Outfit is what Rose wears on the date^^

                     Rose's P.O.V.
"I don't know what to do!" I couldn't help but say, head in my hands.
"Ok. Just calm down." Dani said, quietly.
I took a few deep breaths as I thought about my situation. When I had started dating these two guys, I had never thought that things would get this crazy. And now I was faced with an impossible decision.
So I had woke up this morning covered in love marks. Jason had said he loved me again before leaving out the front door. And I had come downstairs to talk to Dani because she was the only one I could talk to.
"I'm confused, sis. I don't know what to do. I love them both! They're both great guys! What do I do?"
Dani thought a moment. "Well look at Billy and me."
"Billy? As in my idiot brother?"
"Yea. I mean I know he's an idiot but...he's my idiot." Dani looked at me and shot me a smile. "You just got to find your idiot!"
I burst out laughing. "Gee, that's helpful!"
"But in all seriousness, sis, the right guy isn't always the one you think. Real life isn't like a movie or a love story. In real life, love is messy. You're not gonna find the perfect guy because "the perfect guy" doesn't exist. He's gonna have flaws. He's gonna be an idiot. He's gonna have some kind of imperfection. But that doesn't matter. You don't pick the perfect guy; you pick the guy who's perfect for you. Meaning...don't pick the better guy. Pick the guy who makes you the better girl. The guy who loves you...for you. That way, you can't go wrong."
When she said these words, I knew which one was the one. "I know which one is the one. But...I have to talk to them. They need to know the truth."
"Good luck." Dani said. "By the way, which one is it?"
"I'll tell you after I tell him." I promised.

                 Narrator's P.O.V.
"And, once again, I win." Pinhead said, grinning evilly. "So...our little friends do have a heart after all. And their weakness is the girl."
He began pacing in front of Maddix who managed to look genuinely uncomfortable. "So what do you want to do about it, boss? Use the girl as bait?"
Pinhead's grin widened. "I have a plan of my own. I just need to know when the girl will be alone."
"Well, my sources tell me that she's taking the both of them out on a special date to let them know which one she is choosing."
"Hmm...we'll have to find a way to get her away from those boys. I want you to go down to the restaurant and keep an eye on everything."
     "And what about you, master?"
"Well I'll just be setting up the plan to kidnap that precious little girl that they both love so much and then...then they will come to me willingly."
     "How will you get her?"
He held up the puzzle box he'd used to trap and kill so many people and grinned evilly. "I'm just gonna leave her a little present."

                     Rose's P.O.V.
I waited in the restaurant I had chosen, feeling really nervous. I had called Freddy and Jason shortly after talking to Dani, while I was dressing for the date. Each was glad to hear from me and I told them where to meet me.
So now, here I was, waiting for them in the restaurant. I had chosen something simple and not nearly as fancy as the ones Dani had chosen for my dates with each of them.
Jason was the first to arrive, walking in with a sense of purpose, though I couldn't blame him. I had told him how important this was.
He sat down with me and we ordered our drinks before chatting a bit. I procrastinated saying anything for awhile. First to ease the tension. And second because I didn't want to say anything until Freddy got there. Eventually, after waiting awhile, Freddy finally arrived. His look of love turned to anger and hatred the moment he noticed Jason sitting there.
I stood up quickly. "Hey, Freddy, Jason, I need to talk to you both." The two were glaring at one another and I felt just the slightest bit of anxiety starting to build up again. "But first I uh...I need a moment..."
Feeling highly uncomfortable, I rushed off to the bathroom to calm myself down, unaware that back at the table, a very important conversation was happening...

                 Narrator's P.O.V.
"You motherfucker!" Freddy growled at Jason the second Rose stepped away from the table. "What are you doing here?!"
"I was invited! What the hell are you doing here?!"
"Same reason as you, hockey puck!" Freddy paused a moment, seemingly deep in thought then he growled out, "You left marks on her you bastard!"
"What's it to you?! You were the one who broke the deal first!"
"Don't you dare throw that in my face! You're just mad that Rose chose me!"
"Who says she did that? She obviously chose me!"
"Yea right, hockey puck!" Freddy growled in Jason's face. "Y'know what? Fuck it!"
With that, the pair began throwing punches, hitting each other and knocking each other into tables until the rest of the people in the restaurant ran off.
Rose was trying to calm herself down, reminding herself, "It's ok. Just tell them what's going on. They'll be ok. I mean... they're big, strong, manly types. They can deal with it. Who knows? Maybe they'll become friends."
After spending several minutes convincing herself, Rose made her way back to the table, only to find Freddy and Jason fighting each other, throwing punches, and screaming at each other.
     "You broke our agreement, Krueger!"
"I don't give a damn about the bet anymore! She's mine!"
And that's when Rose realized the truth of the situation.

                     Rose's P.O.V.
"You two knew?!" I yelled the second I got back and overheard the argument.
Both men looked up at me from their position on the floor. "Sweetheart, let me explain-" Jason began before Freddy interrupted, "No, princess, let me explain-"
"What?! That this was all a trick? You both knew about the other the whole time and, instead of being adults about it, you made a bet? For what? To see which one of you gets to kill me?!" My eyes filled with unwanted tears. Trying, and failing, to blink them back, I shook my head. "I was an idiot to think that either one of you could actually care about me! Well..... now you've lost me! Goodbye!"
I turned on my heel and began speed walking out of the restaurant, ignoring the two begging me to come back and running into a waiter who I quickly apologized to before I continued moving. I was out the restaurant, I removed my heels and began running down the street until I reached the car.
Quickly, I drove home, still trying to fight back the tears as I called my sister. After calling twice and getting nothing other than Dani's voicemail, I remembered that she'd said that she was going out with friends today after running all her errands. Naturally, her phone would be off for most of the day. And calling Billy wasn't an option as he had started working again this morning.
Getting home, I raced inside, threw my shoes to the floor, and collapsed onto my bed, finally letting the tears stream down my face.
How could I have been so stupid? I knew they were both killers. Killing people was what they did...for fun. How could I have let myself believe I was any different from anyone else they spent their time messing with? That's all I had been the whole time. All they wanted to do was mess with me for awhile for their stupid bet, string me along, and finally the one I ended up choosing tonight would kill me. And it would've been so poetic too!
I cried until no more tears would come out my eyes. Then I took a couple deep, calming breaths, rolled over, and glanced at my bedside table out of the corner of my eye. I was surprised to find what looked like a puzzle box resting on it.
Deciding that solving a puzzle would help take my mind off my situation, I picked up the little box and began playing with it. Within a few minutes, I had solved it. Just as I was about to place it back on the bedside table, it shook violently.
A bit confused, I felt the room move and, when I looked around, I saw that one of the walls had transformed into a door. Opening it cautiously- I was no idiot, having watched way too many horror movies with my brother over the years -I found a long tunnel behind it.
I started walking through the tunnel when I heard a noise behind me. I turned again, only to see that the area I had come from had turned into a wall.
     What the fuck? I thought.
My confusion didn't last long, however, because when I turned, I was startled to find a man standing in front of me in long, flowing black robes, pins in his face. I recognized him immediately, thanks to Billy's unhealthy obsession with the movie Hellraiser.
     "Pinhead? You're real?"
"Of course." He rumbled in a deep voice. "I've been expecting you, Rosalia Loomis." He placed a hand on my face in an almost loving way which made it even more uncomfortable. "You are close to Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees. You have their hearts." His eyes glowed as an evil smirk spread across his face. "Now I'm gonna break them."
With that, he grabbed me and we disappeared to somewhere far away.

               Narrator's P.O.V.
Maddix knew he was taking a big chance betraying Pinhead. He'd appeared at the restaurant, disguised as a waiter.
Unfortunately, he wasn't able to stop Rose from running off even after he purposefully ran into her. She had just ran off, ignoring everything and everyone around her.
That's when Maddix had rushed over to the two killers, who weren't exactly happy to see him. "Go after her, you idiots!" He had yelled.
"What do you care, fucker?!" Freddy growled.
      "You're a traitor!" Jason yelled.
Freddy had gave Jason a questioning look but Maddix jumped in before he could press the issue. "Your mother was wrong, Jason. I'm fighting Pinhead. Now please, move your decaying asses after that girl before Pinhead gets her!"
"Pinhead is after her?!" They both yelled in unison.
     "Yes! Now go!"
With that, Freddy and Jason took off for Elm Street. And Maddix disappeared off to have a very interesting conversation with someone...
                          * * * * *
Freddy and Jason arrived at the house too late. They burst through the door, just in time to see Pinhead's puzzle box swallow Rose whole right before it fell to the floor and broke into a million pieces.

I'm so excited, my loves! Aren't you? Things are gonna get really fun now!
