Crystal paced back and forth in her room. "Why now? Why are her memories of that horrible time returning now? What is causing it?" After giving herself a very bad headache Crystal took two Tylenol pm to help her relax.  Unfortunately that was the worst thing that she could have done. She found herself in a boiler room face to face with Freddy.

"Hello Crystal." Freddy said with a smile.

Crystal backed away from Freddy her heart filled with horror at seeing him. "Who are you? What do you want from me?"

"You know very well who I am and you know exactly what I want. Or rather who I want." Freddy replied with a smile.

"Stay back or I'll kill you I promise you." Crystal replied causing Freddy to burst into laughter.

"A little too late for that Sweetheart. I'm already dead. You can't kill me. This is my world and here I am immortal. I can never die they promised me that." Freddy replied.

"They who?"

"Why my friends of course. The voices that were inside my head when I was alive. Whispering in my ear kill. Punish those spoiled little piglets. Would you care to meet them?"

"Not really."

"Awe they were really looking forward to meeting you my beloved." Freddy replied with a pout.

Suddenly evil laughter filled the room and flaming skulls came rushing forward from out Freddy. "So this is Crystal? The women who betrayed you just like that witch Loretta."

"She's quite the looker. How did you wind up with a beauty like that?" One of the other dream demons hissed.

Freddy just smiled. "I think they like you."

"Make them go away. Please they frighten me."

"That's what we like to hear. Your fear is what fuels us. What gives us our power. We could feed off you all night long." One of the demons replied circling my mom. My mom shivered and Freddy frowned. He wanted to make her pay. He wanted her to be afraid of him not them.

"Enough Leave us!" Freddy demanded and the dream demon's scowled at Freddy.

"You dare tell us what to do? This is our realm.
We gave you your power and we can take it away just as easily." One of the dream demon's hissed.'

"Look, You can have the souls of the brats you can have the souls of the adults that I kill but leave her be."

"Awe could it be that Freddy still has a soft spot
For this beauty?" One of the dream demons replied with a wink.

"Of course not." Freddy replied."it's just that I want to be alone with her. I want to make her fear me once more and I can't do that with you around."

One of the dream demon's nodded "very well
Freddy we will leave this one to you but don't you ever tell us what to do again."
With that the dream demons disappeared.

"Thank you."' My mom whispered as Freddy turned to face her.

"I didn't do that for you Crystal. I did it for me. Like I told them I want to make you fear me. By the way, I know your secret. Did you really think you could keep it from me?"

Who are you?"

"You still don't recognize me do you? Well perhaps this will help." Freddy replied using his strength to return him to the form he had before he was murdered.

"Freddy?" My mom replied her eyes going wide with surprise.

"In the flesh, we'll sort of anyway." Freddy replied with a laugh.

"What are you going to do to me?"

"Yes, what are you going to do to her?" One of
the demons asked.

"Nothing."

"What do you mean nothing?" The Dream demon's asked angrily.

"Exactly what I just said. I'm not going to do anything to her. She's going  to watch helplessly as I kill each and every one of those piglets that got away from me. Including her daughter." Freddy replied.

"You can't."

"And why not?"

"Catrina is your daughter."'Crystal replied as tears rolled down her cheeks.

"You expect me to believe that rubbish? Catrina was born long after you left me."

"No, I was pregnant with her when I left you. I accidentally broke the one rule you had given me. I saw into your work room and what I saw terrified me. I was afraid. I was afraid that'd you'd keep your promise to kill me."

"Or that if you found out that I was pregnant that you'd let me live till she was out of diapers and then you'd arrange for me to have a little accident. I was afraid that you'd hurt her like you hurt all those other children."

"Or worse you'd take her away from me by putting her up for adoption so that I'd never get to see her again. I'm so sorry. I never should have left. I should have stayed. I should have let her grow up with her father. I should have known that you'd never hurt her but I didn't know what you'd do and that terrified me."

"Your saying that Catrina is my daughter?"

"Yes. She was born a month after I married Maurice. Maurice knew that she wasn't his daughter. That why he..."

"That's why he beat her." Freddy replied finishing Crystal's sentence. Crystal nodded.

"You just let it happen. You didn't try and protect her from him. You had the audacity to think that I would hurt her? Your a hypocrite!" Freddy replies angrily.

"I am so sorry Freddy for everything. Everything that you did to her was my fault. It was my fault that you abused her." Crystal replied tearfully.

At this, Freddy's face went dark and he turned to the dream demon's "you knew that Catrina was my daughter didn't you?"

"We suspected that she might be but we weren't certain."

"Freddy."

"What!"

"I am sorry for what the other parents did to you that night."

"Don't lie to me. You were part of the crowd that murdered me."

"No. I tried to stop them."

"Your lying." Freddy replied with a growl.

"Actually, she's not." One of the dream
Demon's replied.

"What do you mean? I thought you said that she betrayed me? That she was like all the others."

"No we never said that. We said that she left you for another man. She did try to convince the crowd to let you go. The crowd shoved her backwards and out of  the way."

"Why? Why would you care if they killed me or not?"

"Because deep down I..."'

"You what?"

"I still loved you. I have a feeling that I always will. Why else would I stay in a town where children were being murdered? I didn't want Catrina growing up with out you. That's why I was devastated when I found out that you had hurt her."

"Oh Crystal I never hurt Catrina. I never laid a hand on her. I have always protected her and I always will." Freddy replied.

"I don't believe you. If you never touched her how do you explain the signs of sexual abuse and the scars on her back?"

"Perhaps you should ask Catrina that or better yet, why not ask the man responsible? Ask your husband where those scars on Catrina's back came from. They certainly didn't come from my blades."

"Oh and Crystal, the fact that Catrina is my daughter doesn't change anything. I am going to make the fears you had that day when you broke your word come true. I am going to take her away from you forever." Freddy replied with a laugh and with that he disappeared leaving Crystal slumped on the floor devastated.

Crystal awoke with a start and rushed to Catrina room. She had to talk to Catrina before Freddy got to her. "Catrina , Catrina where are you?" Crystal screamed as she searched every room of the house for Catrina to no prevail. As she rushed throughout the house she could hear Freddy taunting her.

"It's too late she belongs to me now." Freddy laughed as Crystal searched each room desperate to find her daughter.
