FIFTEEN

Trey felt awful.

Ry had forced him to go to Mike's party the day before and boy was he hungover now.
The boy had dragged him in a game of beer pong where the two pathetically lost and were forced to drink until they almost passed out. The rest of the night had only been drunken giggles, singing and making fun of Aaron's bad mood.

Trey didn't remembered much from the party, just Ry dropping Aaron off in his dorm then him. He had passed out on his bed, still fully clothed.

Trey yawned and walked sleepily towards the bathroom, unaware of Ash's slightly judgmental stare.

This was going to be a tough day.

The boy groaned once more as he now tried taming his hair. He looked at his watch. At this rate, he was going to be late as hell. He gave up on his hair and decided to dress up instead.

Ash stared at him as he walked back into the room and raised a brow when he tripped over his bag, almost slamming his face on the floor.
"Rough night?" He snorted.
"What gave it away?" Retorted Trey.

Ash smiled without replying. That boy was such a klutz, he had to save him at least once a day from an imminent death. Ash had discovered that Trey was an airhead and not only did he tend to forget things, but he was also rarely aware of his own surroundings. He tripped all the time and bumped against people regularly.

Ash sighed, watching Trey as he now desperately tried to remove his still buttoned shirt.
He was struggling in the middle of the room, pale midriff exposed and face hidden behind the material of his shirt.

"Urgh! Why is this stupid shirt not coming off, I don't want to be late and run laps!"
Trey was getting fed up, he wasn't very patient. He pulled even harder on his shirt and jumped around trying to free his arms but ended up getting even more stuck.

Ash bit his lower lip in an effort to not laugh at the small boy.
He accidentally let out a chuckle.
Trey turned his body to face him, his arms still up in the air.

"Hey! Why are you laughing, this is not funny!" He whined.

"On the contrary, I find you being up at eight am growling like an upset puppy to be very..."
He stopped for a moment, staring at Trey's flat stomach, feeling something primal stir in him.

"Entertaining" he continued in a lower tone.

"You're mean, you should be helping me instead of making fun of me!" Retorted Trey as he finally gave up on his struggling and sighed in defeat.

"Okay fine, I'm going to help you but just because it was fun to see you struggle on your own." Replied Ash as he sat up in his bed.
"I was right you are a very mean person Ashton." Trey fired back, trying to wiggle his way out again.
"I guess you were." He chuckled.

"Hey, come closer, I need to think about how I'm going to pull your shirt off."
"At last thank you!" Exclaimed Trey in despair as he knelt next to the bed, where Ash's voice came from. Even seated, the other male towered over him. He crossed his muscular arms trying to figure out how to free Trey from his shirt.

Then, he got an idea.
A grin spread on his face as he uncrossed his arms and lightly grabbed the bottom of Trey's ruffled shirt.
"Finally" sighed Trey as he lifted his arms again. Ash slowly pulled on the shirt and purposely let his fingers slip. Trey reacted almost instantly.

"Hey don't do that, your fingers are cold and I'm very ticklish."
"Really ?" Replied Ash, his grin widening.
Trey realised his mistake but it was too late.

"Ashton, whatever you're thinking you better not do it!" He warned, trying his best to sound menacing.

Needless to say it didn't really do much.

"Oh yeah, and what are you going to do about it? You're still tangled in your shirt if I recall."
Ash laughed and let his fingers run along the small boy's sides. Trey let out a high pitched cry and tried to get away but Ash caged him in his steel arms.

Trey was laughing so hard that tears were starting to form at the corner of his eyes. Ash was also laughing and it was so earnest he found it freeing.
He hadn't laughed like that in a long time and welcomed the feeling.

Finally, he decided to stop torturing the poor boy and simply let his now warm fingers trail towards Trey's shirt. The small boy shivered and Ash froze, finally realizing the situation they were in.

Trey had somehow ended up kneeling right between Ash's parted thighs. Both were breathing heavily, somehow in sync and they were standing very close. Ash slowly slid the shirt off Trey's body, revealing his flustered face and definitely messed up hair.

Trey groaned silently
"My hair you idiot."
Ash ignored him, his brows furrowed in deep concentration. He shyly brought his fingers back against Trey's pale skin, tracing the lines of his abdomen and delicately skimming his ribcage.

Trey let out a small gasp.
Ash raised his eyes and stared at him intently as the small boys' cheeks grew even redder.
He bashfully looked away, trying to avoid Ash's deep stare, scared that he would unravel all of his deepest secrets.

"Don't look away." Ordered Ash in a demanding tone.
Trey obeyed and shyly stared back at him.

Ash let his hand settle on Trey's hip. He closed his eyes, and brought his face closer to his neck. The small boy didn't dare move, in fear of upsetting the beast in front of him. Ash finally dropped his head on Trey's shoulder, inhaling the warm, sweet scent of his skin.

"Just don't move." He whispered.
Trey nodded in response, his arms hanging on each side of his body. His skin was tingling in the places where Ash touched him.

And Ash was intrigued.

He didn't feel as repulsed by the contact as he should. He forced his mind to concentrate on the sensations that touching Trey brought him and didn't feel the urge to throw up anymore. He somehow felt at peace in the silent room. He removed his head from the crook of Trey's neck and rested his hand on the other boy's hip.

"You should calm down, I am not going to eat you you know."
"You wouldn't be the first person to tell me that. And I don't really believe you when you say you're not going to eat me." Replied Trey as he rolled his eyes.

"Really?" Teased Ash, raising his eyebrow "Well I guess you shouldn't believe me. Do you want to know what happened to my old roommate?"
"Wh-what happened?" Asked Trey anxiously.
"I-ate-him" replied Ash with a predatory smile.

Trey's face paled and his eyes bulged out. His mouth opened in fear. He was ready to scream when Ash's throaty laugh stopped him.

"Huh? Why are you laughing?" He asked.
"Oh my gosh, you should've seen your face! What do you think I am exactly?" Replied Ash still laughing.
"Hey stop being mean!" Retorted Trey.
Finally, his laughter died down and Ash looked into Trey's chocolate eyes.

The small boy's cheeks flushed and he quickly looked away, intimidated.
"Hey, I told you to look at me." Ash spoke in a now serious tone. He placed a finger under Trey's chin and carefully lifted it so he could look into his warm eyes again. The small boy gulped, feeling the heat between their two bodies rise again.

"How come you're touching me so easily?" He asked in a small voice.
"I don't really know Trey." Answered Ash.
"Maybe you're getting used to touching people in general?"
"No. It's just you. I don't know why, but I feel at peace when I touch you."
"Oh, okay. That's an improvement I guess?" Replied Trey with a sweet smile.

"Yes maybe... Now stop moving."
"O-okay, if this is kind of like therapy for you." He whispered.
Ash kept one of his hands on Trey's hip on and let the other one trail the soft lines of his torso again.

The small boy shivered quietly. Ash sighed and buried his head in the crook of Trey's neck, inhaling the faint scent of honey on his skin.

Trey was very still, eyes closed. He felt like he was trying to tame a dangerous beast, one wrong move could set him off immediately. So he just tried to calm his erratic heartbeat.

He gradually relaxed, the clock above the door ticking, regulating his breathing. Then suddenly, the peaceful atmosphere shattered.

Trey felt something light and soft graze his shoulder. He let out a strangled breath, eyes flying open as he realized what Ash was doing.

Ash's calm was gone. He had tried hard to restrain himself around Trey because he couldn't bring himself to accept his own feelings for the other boy, using his disorder as an excuse to not touch him.

But now, he was done with excuses and done with running away from what afraid him. He dropped a light kiss on Trey's bare shoulder. The breath he let out and the shiver that ran through his body rang like a melody to Ash's ears.

He smiled and dropped another kiss on Trey's collar bone, raising his eyes to look at him. The sight was heavenly. Trey was blushing right to the tip of his ears, his eyes were closed and he was biting his bottom lip.

Trey was still confused, he was trying to understand how both of them had ended up in this situation.
He was feeling lightheaded and Ash's body being so close to him didn't help.

Realization finally settled in. His handsome but annoying, broody and quite violent roommate had kissed him, was kissing him, and he didn't know how to feel about it. He was just lost.

He closed his eyes and scrunched his eyebrows. A tear rolled down his cheek.

"Hey, what's the matter?" Asked Ash in a concerned tone when he saw the tear.

"I-I'm kind of scared, a little bit..." Ash's eyes widened and he backed off instantly, letting some space between him and the other boy. He was scared? Of course he was scared.

"Do I scare you Trey?" He asked, pain suddenly lacing his tone.
" You do... Actually."
"Why didn't you tell me?" He whispered.

"Because..."
"Are you scared of who I am, of what I represent?"
"N-no, it's not that."
"Well what is it then? Is it my temper, my words? Is it my disorder? Are you scared of who I am?" He repeated, voice rising as he started to tremble in anger.

If Trey was scared of him and if he hated him, he had no one left. Agony ran like ice through his veins.
"No. Please don't get mad."
"I'm not mad!" Spat Ash venomously, his head throbbing. Everything seemed to spiral away. How had this happened? Was he so caught up in his own fantasy that he hadn't realized what Trey was really thinking?

Poisonous thoughts surfaced in Ash's head. No this couldn't be it. Trey couldn't be scared of him! He wouldn't let it happen. He was tired of pushing people away.

Ash was so lost in his mind that he didn't hear Trey's voice trying to reach him.

And Trey was starting to panic, Ash's reaction was indeed scaring him and he didn't seem to calm down.

"H-hey... Ashton?" He tried louder but that didn't seem to catch his attention either.
Ash desperately pulled on his hair.

"You're scared, you're scared of me..." He repeated, his throat constricting painfully. Ash was in a frenzy. He felt trapped in his own body and had trouble breathing, he felt like the walls of the room were closing on him.

"Hey listen to me!" Finally shouted Trey. He grabbed Ash's face in his small hands and forced the tall boy to stare into his eyes.

"Calm down you're having a panic attack. Just breath and lay down." He instructed as he climbed on the bed next to him.

Ash thought that sounded stupid but he realized he had been holding his breath. He finally gulped some air, his chest heaving. He wordlessly lied down, his head resting on Trey's thighs, trying not to think about him sitting in his bed probably spreading unwanted germs.

They spent long minutes in silence as Ash gradually got his breath back.
"We are so getting grounded by coach for being late." Murmured Trey in an attempt to lighten the mood.

Ash remained silent, his eyes closed.
"When I said I was scared, I didn't mean I was scared of you, you know?" He continued and absentmindedly ruffled Ash's hair.
"No, you don't scare me. Even if you try to convince everyone including yourself that you're the big bad Ashton, you don't scare me." He chuckled.

"What are you afraid of then?" Muttered Ash in response.
"It's kind of stupid..."
"Spit it out Johnes. I don't care."
"I'm not scared of you Ashton, I'm scared of how quickly I've come to appreciate you and your foul mood. That's what scares me." Replied Trey.

"And I'm scared of how fast I'm falling for you." He thought. But he didn't dare say that out loud. One day maybe he would, if he ever became brave enough...
