John sighed as he kept his hand over his eyes, "Can I open them now?"

"Not yet!" A sweet voice called from a few feet away before a long pause.

"No!" A soft giggle from the same voice.

John looked at the girl in front of him with round, doe eyes. John stood up with a wide grin, "No, no it doesn't look alright,"

"It looks stunning," John let out a long whistle.

Lexa blushed and slugged him in the shoulder, "You always do that!"

"Laurens, Laurens, Laurens..." Lexa tapped her foot with the shake of her head and a prim smile.

"That's ma' name— and soon to be your last." John purred as he got closer to Lexa and put his arms around her waist, "Go~lly! You look fine!"

"John!" Lexa laughed out, pushing his face away.

"Who needs a wedding dress when you've got a fiancé who can rock a casual dinner dress this well?" John smiled.

Lexa smiled as she pet her arms on John's shoulders, "You flatter me."

"What else would I do?"

"You do plenty, Laurens." Lexa rolled her eyes with a snicker.

"Ah, I'm a man of many talents." John admitted.

"Hm, true," Lexa lowered her head to rest it in the crook of John's neck, "That's why I love you." Lexa murmured softly against John's skin.

John shuttered at the feeling and gently pressed his cheek to Lexa's forehead.

Lexa swayed back and forth to silent music as John put his hands around her waist, "You ought to get into your tux soon, John, our ride will be here soon."

"Ah it can wait." John continued to sway.

"But our driver can't," Lexa shot back.

"Ah, but love has no time limits,"

"I'm making limits," Lexa leaned forward to rest her leg between John's two legs, causing the boy's face to turn bright red and an expression of melting form on his face.

"Come on, let's go." Lexa stepped back with a laugh at John's pouty face, "Ah, why so blue?"

John sat, as some might say, woman style, with his leg folded over his other leg to help his current situation, "It means...I dunno'...we've been dating for three years now, Lexy...um- and now we're going to get married with in a year- it's just...when do you think you'll...feel comfortable...ya' know...going to bed without- cloth-"

Lexa immediately stiffened up and shook her head, "N-not yet- not yet-"

"When?" John tapped his finger awkwardly and uncomfortably.

"Just- not yet-!" Lexa's voice sounded distressed.

"...Ever?" John murmured.

"...I..." Lexa paused to scratch at her arm, "I don't know..."

John nodded slowly, "...Why?"

"Why?" Lexa repeated in a bit of disbelief, not used to John actually indulging on this topic.

"Yeah, Why?" John didn't stutter this time but still had a soft tone.

"I'm just...not comfortable with it..." Lexa shrugged.

"Honestly, I don't think I've ever even seen you naked before?" John stood up, "Maybe that's normal for engaged couples but...-"

"Why? Do you want to?" Lexa was still stiff and she sounded a bit offended.

"Then don't love me for my body." Lexa folded her arms.

"As long as you're you and you act like you...I love you- who cares what you or I looks like? There's nobody else but the two of us here in our own little world, and that's enough for me, you're enough for me, always- Lexa, are you- oh god, are you crying?"

Lexa shook her head quickly and wiped her eyes, "John- I- we need to talk." She huffed out shakily.

"That's never good." John laughed out nervously.

"I know," Lexa smiled weakly, heading over to the couch and patting the couch beside her.

John shuffled over and sat down.

Lexa looked at him and put a hand on his shoulder, "This really- isn't easy to tell you, and it's not that I don't want o tell you- I do- it's just-" Lexa let out a shaky breath, "I know this'll most likely end up terrible,"

"You could tell me you grew a penis overnight and I'd still love you," John smiled jokingly, though Lexa let out a small sob before totally breaking and cupping her hands over her face, vigorously nodding.

"Oh my god, did that actually happen?" John's eyes widened.

Lexa sobbed harder, "No, you idio- No-" She rubbed her eyes quickly and looked at John, "I was- Johnny, I identify as female..."

John's eyes became even wider and he cupped a hand over his mouth, looking even more shocked, "But your sex..."

"Is male- Is Alex." Lexa looked at her lap, tears still sliding down her face.

There was silence.

Lexa shut her eyes right and shook her head before she felt something soft on her head and opened her eyes to see John had leaned forward and kissed her on the head.

"You're still Lexa...you're still perfect..." John murmured, still a bit shaken, "I mean...looks like I'm really Pan-Sexual then, ya know?" John paused, "This is a big deal...I don't appreciate that you kept it from me..."

Lexa nodded.

"...but I still love you, and I'll still marry you, I'd love you even if it was the other way around," John gave a genuine smile, "I'm forever yours."
